We had custom motorized blinds put in, in our home, at a cost of about $4000 on several windows. When we ordered the blinds, we were told it would be a specific amount of time for them to come in and it actually took about double to get them. The blinds themselves actually work great, unfortunately a year after we had them installed we had to call with some questions and some help for some potential service and the individual who answered the phone could not have been more rude to my wife if they tried. He was very dismissive and condescending and as a result, I would recommend any other company except this one if you need this type of service! read more

I scheduled their visit for 9am but they jumped over my fences around 8am. They proceeded with the tarp and severely damaged my sidings/window frames and hammered large nails all over my deck which seemed to be an experiment because they weren't sure if those nails would work on vinyl siding. The two man were also coming in and out of my kitchen door (connected to deck) inside the house to see if my windows were covered or not WITHOUT knocking/permission. Made me feel very uncomfortable. Pricing - the owner said it'll be a few hundred when HE STOPPED BY in person after evaluating the house but hit us with a bill that was over a thousand dollars. This quote was for urgent service however, he tried billing us much more. Inconsistency occurred throughout the interaction. PLEASE do yourself a favor and hire someone else. I informed that he'll be paid once insurance pays or he can directly claim with insurance, which he agreed however he is now threatening to put a lien on the house. I had started the job myself but got an anchor screw stuck and figured I should have a pro step in so I didn't wreck my new walls. All the supplies were here, placed where they needed to be, holes were measured and marked for custom made rods and drapes. He charges by the hour and moves very, very slow. He didn't have his own step ladder or anchor screws. In the first hour, he managed to put in 3 screws in holes that had already been marked. He claimed he "needed to remeasure" and that's why it took so long, but he used the holes that I had already marked. He also said it was too hard to do with custom cut rods. He also said it wasn't his fault because I had an anchor screw stuck in the wall already, which was the whole reason I hired him. This is what pros do: they come prepared, know the required materials and techniques, and advise the customer on the best way to proceed. I knew we needed to cut it off when he asked me how to use an anchor screw. He didn't know if you needed to pre-drill or not for a very basic and common anchor. I cannot imagine a professional handyman not knowing that. He used a level to stare at the pre-marked holes for what seemed like an eternity, just eating up time. 3 screws = $200. Seems like a nice enough man, but handyman may not be the profession for him, and that's giving him the benefit of the doubt that he wasn't just trying to take advantage of someone he assumed was too naive too know how long the job should take. He became very defensive, making excuses when I said we'd need to end the job at one hour. Im sure judging by other less than 5 star reviews here (that I really wish I'd have taken the time to read) he will post a very defensive response here as well. Please just don't take a job you don't have the required expertise to complete, and I don't want to hear defensive excuses when I'm still out $200 for almost no work completed.

So, I called and Duane said he would be over in 3 hours. 2 1/2 hours later he called back to say he was running about a 1/2 hour late leaving DC. No problem! I really appreciated that head's up. He arrived and gave me a fabulous estimate to haul my crap away. He then said, "You really need to have that tree taken down." Yea, I know. I just couldn't afford the $3,500 that I was previously quoted. "$3,500! I can do it for waaay less." However, I was between gigs at the time, so I just had him haul away the stack. Cut to two months later: The aftermath of another storm. My Mister broke out the chainsaw and again went to cutting fallen limbs and gathering brush. The decision was made with a heavy heart to have our beloved 100 year old Catalpa cut down. I didn't need to Yelp it, I still had DEE's card. Duane came out to see it all and could do the job on Saturday. We wouldn't be home, but all arrangements were handled. So sad to see our majestic tree gone, but it really is a weight lifted off our shoulders. I highly recommend DEE's Tree Removal Service. Duane is an honest, hard working guy who won't let you down. Great prices for his services, and superior customer service! I am sure it doesn't hurt that his business manager is his wife! If Yelp would let me wink here, I would!

We hired Duane (aka Dee's Tree Removal & Landscaping Services) yesterday to remove six trees from our yard. Today, all six are gone. The guys cleaned up all of the debris, stacked remnant pieces of wood where we asked, cut some pieces of wood into end tables for us, and offered additional suggestions to help with our yard going forward. Duane's pricing was excellent for the work that was done - we couldn't be happier. We have a few projects in mind for our home, and we will most definitely be calling on Duane in the future.
