Stanley was so awesome to work with from beginning to end! Some background: I needed my exterior shutters replaced; and I was in a bit of a time crunch thanks to my HOA. I read other reviews and decided to only get quotes from two places: SJ Contractor Services and a national-level 'handy man' service. I am a renter; my landlord does not live in the local area. Why I chose SJ Contractor Services: Stanley made the entire process so easy. I received a quote the same day. He explained to me the entire process, warranty, and broke down the pricing for me. After I received the quote, I still needed to weigh my options. Texting is one of the ways Stanley contacts his clients, which is awesome! Their prices were excellent, and his customer service was outstanding. The process and end product: From the start, Stanley & SJ Contractors were respectful of my home, my time, and my requests. As soon as we decided to do business, I was immediately emailed a quote. Once the quote was signed and accepted, he came out to take measurements and take a look at what needed to be done. As soon as the measurements were taken, he made me aware of the timeline, which was fairly quick. I didn't need to be present for the work. They stand by the products they use and their work they do. I was able to pay online, and was emailed a receipt as well. After the work was done, I even received a thank you note and some chocolate in the mail! TL;DR Stanley is awesome. SJ Contractors is awesome. You can text them. All documents are electronic. Work and customer service is outstanding. They mailed me chocolate to say thanks. Hire them! read more

Very communicative and easy to work with. I have used them twice so far for gutter cleaning (one being an emergency and they were able to fit me in quickly). I will continue to use their services too. read more

I was in need of someone to clean my gutters and I reached out to SJ Contractors; I received an email response right away! I responded to the email and received a follow up phone call to discuss my needs. I was able to schedule services with in a couple of days and I didn't even have to be there when they came. I received an email with pictures of before and after and WOW they did an amazing job! Very professional and thorough. Payment was super easy and very reasonable. I received the invoice with an option to pay electronically which was very nice. A week later I got a nice card and yummy goodies in the mail thanking me for allowing them to receive my business! It is the personal touches and prompt service along with the AMAZING job they did that deserves my 5 star rating! read more

I reached out to SJ Contractor Services to have my gutters cleaned out earlier in the week. They responded to my questions and send me a quote after I provided some details and photos. I gave them a few dates that worked for me, but they contacted me early and said they could come by today and that I didn't need to be home. I ended up being gone but was happy to have them come by. They were in and out quickly, and provided me with photos of the gutters after they were done. I would HIGHLY recommend SJ Contractor Services!! read more

It was refreshing to get such wonderful service from beginning to end. These guys are truly professionals. This is not your shady craigslist "company". I requested a quote for a full powerwash of my home. They came over to give me a quote. I was not home at the time but they emailed me a detailed quote laying out the work to be performed and attaching their licenses and proof of insurance. I didn't even have to ask for that! Sweet. I accepted the proposal online. The next day I was contacted by the company and we scheduled a appointment. They did request a reschedule the day of the original appointment due to equipment issues. The experience thus far was very professional so I didn't mind it. They took steps to cover all the outside electrical sockets and other electronic devices prior to starting the power wash. The powerwash work was fantastic. I had major buildup on my sidings and the house looks as good as new now. After the powerwash they did a walk around of the house with me to ensure I was satisfied. I need my gutters cleaned and sidewalks powerwashed soon so I look forward to working with SJ again! read more

Three of our shutters blew off due to strong winds last year, so we contacted SJ Contractor Services. Communication and pricing was good, but more importantly they did a great job replacing all the shutters that met our HOA's specifications. Shutters were still intact after last week's windstorm, which is a testament to the quality of their work. I would highly recommend them. read more

Professional preparation, communications and delivery. SJ leverages enterprise platforms to enhance vendor and client dialogue. Great job

We called him out to fix some shutter that had come loose in the last wind storm. He showed up on time, did the work well for the agreed upon price. He also ensured to send me pictures showing that the work was complete and left $25 off coupons for friends and neighbors to use. I would definitely recommend him. read more

I had an outstanding first time experience with SJ Contractor Services. The company was excellent with overall communication from start to finish and were very easy to set up appointments for both the estimate and the actual job. They showed up on time as scheduled for a combo house pressure was hand gutter cleaning. My home had not been pressure washed in years, but after Stanley finished the job the house looks brand new; we couldn't be happier with the service. For the size of our home, his pricing was very reasonable too. To top it off, Stanley has the highest integrity. I was at work while he worked on my home - he called me to let me know that our gutters were in good condition and not requiring a cleaning, therefore he would not charge us for the gutter cleaning. Being away from home he could have easily claimed to have cleaned the gutters and I'd have no way to prove it. His integrity, top of the line service, excellent communication, showing up on time and competitive prices make SJ Contractor Services a diamond in the rough. We will definitely be using them again in the future and strongly urge you to do the same. read more

SJ Contractor Services, and in particular Stanley Hernandez, is hands-down one of the most thorough, attentive and efficient home improvement contractors we've dealt with in nearly 20 years of home ownership. Our home was in dire need of new shutters and power washing - Stanley showed up promptly to generate a quote for us, and provided an easily understood and reasonably priced estimate. He showed up early on the scheduled day of work, completed what we thought would be a full day of work several hours early, all the while sticking to his quoted price. Stanley is also personable, polite, and the most responsive contractor ever, providing regular and appropriate updates via text and email...he's a joy to deal with. We will DEFINITELY be calling Stanley again in the future to seek out the numerous services that SJ Contractor Services offers...and you should, too! read more

Some companies are only good at their craft and others are only good at customer service. SJ is a grand slam in both categories. We have hired Stanley and this company for multiple jobs and they have exceeded expectations each and every time. The communication is great. The estimates are clear. The appointments are punctual. The prices are more than reasonable. We were out of town for the first project that we ever did with Stanley and he coordinated to pick up the materials for us from Lowe's and complete the work before we even made it back. After how smoothly this job went, we referred some work for our neighbors. As a thank for this referral, Stanley sent us a small "thank you" gift to our family, without publicizing that there would be any type of referral kick-back. Whoever taught Stanley and his brother how to run this business did an absolutely spectacular job. If the work that you need falls within their scope and you choose not to hire this company, you are making a massive mistake. I wish they would give classes to other contracting companies out there. read more

Stanley is a good of a guy as there is. He is responsive, kind and patient. He went well above and beyond our expectations. Due to issues outside of his control we were unable to move forward with the shutter installation. However, we did utilize his team for a power wash. The service was terrific and great communication end-to-end. I cannot recommend SJ Contractor Services enough. They picked up a customer for life. read more
