I went to see Reylina on the cosmetic side for some troublesome hyperpigmentation on my face. I've never had any cosmetic treatments in the past and Reylina explained my options to me and recommended a plan of laser treatments and chemical peels. We went there a month ago to see Dr.Michael. He ordered a blood test for my child at the laboratory. Called his nurse Jackie several times for a whole month & she never return our call. We have appointment a month later. Went in there today for the appointment. The staff in the front told me the doctor already left for today. Friday is there half day. Since it's a half day why did they scheduled my appointment! It's so unorganized & it's a big waste of my times! We were so anxious to go to the appointment today. Want to know the blood test results. No one there could tell us anything! They had to ask the doctor on Monday. The staffs & nurses are horrible here! I've been a patient of Dr. Gonzales for about 3 months now. He is very pleasant, professional and accommodating. I found out during the first appointment that my insurance did not cover the procedure and because he knows I gotta have it done, he figured a way to do it for mostly free. Who does that? His assistants are all nice and personable too. The last one was Chloe. She was very thorough and patient with me. I wish I can remember the ones who helped me in my previous visits. EXCESS Charges! If your on Medicare with a Medigap Plan "N" you'll be charged EXCESS Charges. I got a $181.92 bill I wasn't expecting. I thought the doctor I see wouldn't refer me to a dermatologist that did this. I contacted my internist who primarily works with Medicare patients and told them. I was speaking to the referral person and she said she would no longer refer Medicare patients to Thomas Dermatology. I would've never gone there if I knew they charged this. A charge of $181.92 is almost my monthly food allowance. I cancelled my husbands appointment and will not return here. If you have social security money to throw away then go here, otherwise get a different dermatologist. read more

Can Dr. Jordan please explain to the other sweet, young female dr. that eczema (according to the NIH.gov) is an adverse effect of childhood vaccines? NIH says they DO IN FACT CAUSE ECZEMA. She doesn't seem to realize this. Please also let her know that CLIMATES MORE HUMID THAN THE LAS VEGAS DESERT repeatedly prove beneficial for the condition. And some side effects of Duprexit are: STROKE, ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK (death), ULCERS IN THE EYES and CONSTANT DRY EYES just to name a few :) IMO its better to try to change the climate than die from a stroke at 8 yrs old or live with blindness and ulcers in a kid's eyes. At the pathetic Thomas Derm, I saw yet, another completely useless, intolerably arrogant PA, named Breeanna Simon. It was one of the worst Derm appointments in my quest to find a competent dermatologist in Las Vegas to treat me properly. I have an infection of the hair follicles called, "pityriasis folliculorum," aka "Spinulate Demodicosis," an absolutely devastating skin condition. I asked her if she was familiar with it and she said, "no." No?! Really. She knew nothing about it, yet had the audacity to get angry with me, when I explained to her what the tiny red dots on my skin were. She very stubbornly insisted they were something they were NOT. This PA was likely the most cold, uncaring, arrogant, profoundly unknowledgeable person I've ever had the displeasure of seeing. I went to her for an Rx for Ivermectin cream. The idiot sent it in with a vague, completely incorrect diagnosis, so my insurance refused to cover any of the $275 chg. per tube. Unbelievable. Sadly, there are far too many awful dermatologists in Vegas, who may be able to pop a zit for you, but not much more. The good news, is that I finally struck gold with the 7th dermatologist I was fortunate to have found. I was referred to Thomas Dermatology by my internist. I had them check out a mole I had on my back. I was scheduled to meet Dr Gonzalez. He removed a small section and had it tested. It came back as basal cell carcinoma and we scheduled a follow up to have a larger portion removed. His assistant was Chloe. I've seen several Dermatologists over the years and probably have had a dozen or so moles removed. Dr Gonzalez and Chloe were the best I've ever seen. Extremely professional and a fantastic "bed side manner." It was obvious that they cared about the quality of their work and were not the "factory type" office that I've seen so often. We've been going here since we were referred to them in November. The first appointment took a couple months to get in, but now we are fine with appointments. They actually reached out to me several times to say they received my referral from my dr, and call and make an appointment. I need those kind of reminders. They send several reminders before an appointment. I have no idea if the people leaving ratings about waiting on hold, no call backs, etc are even calling the same place! My first contact, Nelson H. He gave me some very helpful information. I was out of network and it was difficult to navigate the insurance system. Nelson lead me in the right direction not only at the beginning but at the end with billing. Leisa W. handled my insurance issues with patience and follow through. I would highly recommend Dr. Brent Michaels if you need a squamous cell removed. I thought the cash price I had to pay was very reasonable and I didn't want to wait 6 months till I went home to have the cancer removed. The staff was very attentive and took a deep history of my medical condition. The on boarding and out boarding staff was very efficient and friendly. I will continue to use Dr. Gonzalez. I was treated by someone at this office representing themselves as a doctor who performed minor surgery on me only to be told later that she was in fact a physicians assistant! Something that should never happen! I was also double billed without any explanation! I have filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and to the State of Nevada medical board! Also, notice there's 5 star and 1 star reviews on here and not much in between! They are having their staff and friends leave highly positive reviews to try to counteract the actual real reviews! I went to Thomas Dermatology today and was pleasantly surprised that I was seen quickly and that the new doctor was eager to answer any concerns I had. Normally, it is an "assembly line" process. The normal wait for Dr Leiberman is about 6 months. I was given the opportunity to have a new doctor (MD) when I called for an appointment yesterday and I took it! Dr Gonzalez was kind, caring, knowledgeable and pleased to address all of my concerns. I would recommend using him rather than waiting many months to see the other service providers here. Truly garbage customer service at the Henderson office and wait times are atrocious but good doctors if you can bare it.

Went in for a skin check and the found some very minor, almost imperceptible, plantar warts. The first doctor suggested cryotherapy (freezing) with no positive results in several months. In fact, the treatment made the warts worse. went in a 3rd time, told regular doctor no longer with the practice and referred to one of their senior doctors. She again tried cryotherapy but this time overdid it quite a bit and I ended up with a huge blood blister on one toe and freeze damage on the other. If this wasn't bad enough, they didn't seem that interested or concerned to help fix this problem. Luckily one of their PAs was available and took one look at the huge blood blister and said we'd have to pop it. It's taken 2 months now after popping it and the skin is not back to normal yet. Stay away from these folks. I only gave it 2 stars instead of one because at least the PA took the time to look at the damage they caused. read more

I dreaded my first appointment with a dermatologist and put it off forever. But the medical assistant Melissa was awesome and put me at ease of immediately. She cares about her patients, it's obvious. When Dr Gonzalez came into the room he took my hand and made excellent eye contact and has such great manners and personality. Went to Thomas Dermatology first time today for a consultation and removal of a couple of things. Front staff was welcoming even with several people there to check in at the same time. I had to fill out a patient packet which took some time. They have their packet online that might save you some hassle at "thomasderm.com". I was taken to my exam room by Melissa, which was a delight to talk with. Dr. Rodriquez assisted by Ashley came in and were professional and fun to speak with. Visit was typical didn't take long to get to the back after checking in from the paperwork. The communication after the visit is where the the 3 rating happens. The RX I was given required prior auth, no attempt in getting that from the insurance plan, fed up I paid out of pocket. They sent a link to register for their portal informed that it didn't work through a staff email, literally no response. Getting someone on the phone is a long wait, getting someone to call you back for lab results in order to get a script sent, also a negative. Thankfully I'm not stuck with an HMO plan because of my new plan which is a PPO so I really don't have to keep seeing this providers. After my check up in 2 months, I'll more than likely find a different provider. read more
