This clinic and especially its billing department has been an absolute nightmare to work with I have been trying to contact them for over a year to get resolution on a bill. After the "service provider "told me having a mole taken off was going to be covered by my insurance. I then got charged a huge bill that I've been trying to talk to the billing department about, but I've gotten the runaround for over a year. The billing department goes overseas then they tell me they're going to escalate it and have a provider reach out to me over the phone. Then I'll get a text with a message in it. Dr Hand , Mohs surgeon is an artist, the very best at what he does. Unfortunately who runs the billing dept should be fired. 2025 Thomas Dermatology billed hundred of thousands to Medicare and my supplement for my Mohs treatments. They were paid 100%. Jan 2026 I called the Mohs dept to say I couldn't make a scheduled appointment. The billing dept charged me $100 for a NO Show and submitted this to a collection agency . I never received a bill or statement. Today I Just paid the charge as my calls to billing ( called 3 times to billing) were never responded too. I will miss Dr Hand and his staff as they are excellent, and I have a lot more surgeries coming up for basal and squamous which will be placed with another firm. Wow. STAY AWAY. I never write reviews but seriously... if you have acne and are thinking about coming here seriously go somewhere else. First I had Dr. DAHLBERG, KIMBERLY and she barely looked at my skin and told me incorrect information about my insurance and what I would have to do when getting on accutane. I then called my insurance directly and figured out she was wrong. Then I switched to Arianny Perinno who was quite frankly just bitchy. So much attitude when I asked questions and made the whole process seem like it would be hell. She put me on an EXTREMELY high dose my second month (80mg?), which my new derm said is quite odd. The nurses were super sweet, but the doctors were quite frankly stuck up and rude. Then we come to the phone service situation: every time you try to call you can't get a hold of the office. So good luck trying to get your prescription that they never put in an order for! This place is a nightmare and I wouldn't ever go back. You guys suck read more

This place couldn't get my daughter in for months so despite wanting to be seen sooner we waited for the appointment. A couple of days before the appointment they call and cancel and can't get us back in for months. It was right around the holidays so the provider was just taking last minute holiday leave. This clinic is a scam. I did not receive a bill until 22 months after my visit. The doctor was in the office with me for less than five minutes and didn't help me in the slightest. I was immediately directed to find a different specialist, even though I was directed here from my GP. They charged me $50 to reschedule, maybe start sending out reminder texts at an appropriate time so that patients can reschedule. I love ho there is a new location near where I live! I came here to give my milia removed. One session was with a medical esthetician and another with a dermatologist! The facility is clean and so brand new. The esthetician I saw was super informative and nice about doing a facial and removing some of my milia! She made me feel comfortable and recommended facial cleansers to use and where to get it. Also she recommended make up that would work for my skin. I also came here to see the dermatologist to cauterize my milia that were near my eyes. That was another experience, but it was worth it! Overall, my skin feels great! I will be back! read more

I went to see Jaye Mancini at Thomas Dermatology following some cosmetic procedures I had done. Jaye is the product specialist at the office. I wanted to incorporate medical grade skin care into my daily routine. Jaye was wonderful-she took her time, listened to my concerns and put together an AM/PM routine for me. I have been a patient with Thomas Dermatology since the early 80's and have been very satisfied till now. I started a skin treatment called Pelleve last year and was told by Cadence I would need 6 sessions ( 1 for each year of my age) and they were spaced out. I had to wait a bit longer for my second session as she was having her baby. I was due for my 3rd treatment at $350 a session this past Feb. The office called to cancel stating the Pelleve machine was broken (note the prior session I had she was having an issue with ithe machine) I was told they would contact me to reschedule. In April I called as I'd heard nothing. I spoke to Giselle and was told the machine was still broken. I told her how disappointed I was that I haven't been able to stay up with the treatments in the timely manner. She apologized and I explained that I should receive some sort of compensation for that. I was told she would look into it and call me back I just went for my regular visit at the Post Road location and I was explaining to them what happened. was told before I left the appointment they called over to the Henderson location and was told they are no longer doing the Pelleve. That really was upsetting because no one had called me from the Henderson office to let me know. It's like they dropped the ball. I left a message with Giselle on Fri 5/30 and left another message on 6/4 as I had not heard back. I was told they are no longer going to do that service and there is no compensation for me that I had the three sessions and I did not pre-pay. I shouldn't have had to prepay! My point was I was unable to complete a treatment that would've been more effective if I'd been able to get the full six treatments. I am very shocked by this. The least they could've done was give me some free skin care or something or offer another skin care treatment as compensation. I have no problem with Cadence as she was super nice and it's not her fault. Moral of the stiory is be cautious about what you're booking at this place. Not a happy patient. read more

The front desk attendant who checked me in was extreme rude and had a negative attitude. Despite my attempts to identify her, she didn't wear a name badge. She had long, straight, dark brown hair and wore clear-framed glasses. When I struggled with filling out the paperwork and requested assistance, I was met with a refusal accompanied by an attitude. This office unfortunately has staff members who display horrible customer service. I would not recommend this place. read more

I moved to this location after my doctor did. I wanted to stay with her as she knew my skin and basically saved my life twice. The office was beautiful, new, and clean. Lots of TVs and a little mini fridge with waters while you wait. Parking lot is large and shared. The two stars isn't based on the doctor, as she was excellent. I tried sticking with her after the incident but she had a full schedule and rescheduling was always 3-6 Months out. However, this incident made it easier to leave this location as my primary recommended. I was going regularly every 3 months and pointed out something I thought didn't fit the ABC's of normal. She decided to schedule a biopsy my next visit. It was atypical and likely could lead to more cancer so a wide local excision was scheduled. I went in and everything went smooth and quick. Much smaller excision than the slow mohs I had in the past. My next 3 month check was coming up in a few weeks. She told me the stitches could come out then. She said 14 days to the MA in the order and out loud. I didn't have my calendar in front of me. I walked out to the car and went to put the appointment in my phone and then realized it was 24 days until my next appointment. My back was super sore from the excision so I called them and left a message with the MA regarding my concern for leaving stitches in too long. She returned my call and stated she spoke with the doctor and the time line was fine. Well... it wasn't. The wound dehisced in the middle. I called a a few days before my appointment and left a message regarding my concern. The MA stated she returned my call but... I had no missed calls or messages. The doctor was upset as she stated no one asked her or even notified her of my concern. The MD also confirmed order was 14 days. It took months for it to heal and the scar is pretty awful. I did ask to speak to their office manager regarding MA's speaking on behalf of MD's. She wasn't available or interested in talking to me as she was "too busy" at the time and never returned my call. I would be cautious with the office staff at this location. read more

The office reached out to me, letting me know That my referral has expired. I need two new one. I contacted my primary care doctor. My primary care called me back and let me know that they sent the referral in on this date. I show up for my appointment and they say they don't have an appointment and they can't honor it unless it's in the next 15 minutes that I figure out where that referral is. It's complete negligence that they didn't again confirm that I had it prior to coming even though we had spoke that I would be getting a new one. Also to offer a 15 minute grace period was not customary and unkind considering I'd show up for the appointment. I was ready to pay the co-pay and then be there. It's not my fault that this referral got lost somewhere in the system. It's not my fault that they didn't receive it. It's not my fault that maybe the primary care doctor didn't send it but here I am out time and money and energy because of it and there was no remedy and just and I'm sorry in a very generic manner. It will never come to this place again. It seems like they only care about people who are getting cosmetic surgery and paying high dollar things instead of the people using Insurance trying to take care of their health. read more

This is one of those doctor offices that needs improvement Issues I have encountered. Appointments take a while to get, phone lines have a long hold time. They are busy and don't see you on time. My first appointment was booked at another location so once I was there I had to reschedule and it was a waste of my time. Dr Michaels is straight to the point, so have your questions ready before your appointment. I am ok with this to a degree as I don't want to waste his time nor mine but also feel that appointment felt too rushed. I am getting charged so I expect to have the doctor come in and not be in a rush to get out. I actually felt pressured and blanked out about another question I had. Once I was out at front desk checking out I remembered my question and had to have someone go ask the guy that was with Dr Michaels assisting him during the appointment. read more
