Fly By Night Cattle Company Steakhouse - Country atmosphere and great food

Amazing as always…read more This review is for the last 2 times we ate here. On December 5th, Earl was our server. On January 16th, Teresa was our server. To start, the service here, every single time has been outstanding. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. We've had their Beef Filet, Beef Ribeye entrees as well as their Chicken Fried Tenderloin entrees. Each time, the food has been cooked perfectly - 3 times out of 3. And the sides - oh my, so good. We've had dessert one time - their Banana Pudding. Very good. While Fly by Night is a bit off the beaten path, it's worth the drive. And while we're moving away from the area, we'll still make the trip back here.

Fly By Night Steakhouse was an unforgettable dining experience with family…read more The 16 oz medium-rare ribeye I ordered was cooked perfectly. It was incredibly tender, with just the right amount of marbling to make each bite indulgent. On the side I had the whipped mashed potatoes. They were creamy and buttery, a perfect complement to the steak. My in-laws ordered Calf Fries and they were also good, just a little salty in my opinion. Nonetheless, they were good and my first time eating them... if you know, you know! The atmosphere added to the meal's enjoyment. The rustic ranch setting, with a big window view of the pasture. Unfortunately, there were no livestock out to add to the fun. The staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was just right. Our waitress was awesome. Theresa was on top of things. This is a spot I'd happily return to, not just for the steak but for the warm ambiance and excellent service. Highly recommend taking the time to visit this Texas eatery if you're anywhere near Cleburne! My in-laws had been here months prior and it was cool to see how their waiter that served them approached them and carried a conversation with them. I love this place.

We were seated very quickly and Roberto was our main server. He was very attentive and kept drinks filled to the top, periodically checked in to ask if we wanted other meats to come by, and was overall a very pleasant person. We are an outgoing and talkative bunch and he chatted with is at different moments during our meal. 100/10 service! The food was delicious. I always love when they have the ribs. The pork ribs are my favorite and they made an appearance a couple of times. There is paid parking around the building, so it's not a far walk

We took the opportunity to try a new restaurant to celebrate our anniversary…read more It is obviously a well liked restaurant and very busy. They turn tables very quickly. We made a reservation and were seated within 5 min of arrival. It was very loud in the restaurant, which limits conversations which is not what we were looking for for our anniversary. Our server was okay, but not very personable. The meat servers were great- they came one after the other offering different cuts of meats- they were not consistent with giving meat to temp choice, but since it is all you can eat, you can try the next round that comes around. The salad bar is okay- very lacking in options. We have been to another non-chain Brazilian steak house in the DFW area and their salad bar was way better, with lots of options to include many seafoods. We did splurge and shared a dessert for our anniversary, the Key Lime pie was incredible. Over all, it was okay- but for the price I expected a little more.

As soon as you walk in, the atmosphere feels upscale and welcoming. The greeter promptly took care of us and got us seated without any delay. Our server was exceptional--she clearly explained how the dining experience works, stayed attentive throughout the night, and made sure our drinks were always full. The service was seamless, and the food matched it. The sides came out quickly, and the variety of meats--especially the lamb and sausages--were absolutely delicious. Every cut we tried was flavorful and cooked perfectly. Overall, this place delivered on both service and quality. Easily a 10/10 experience. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

Chamas do Brazil -- Arlington, TX…read more Here's the deal: I came for a meeting, not misery. Seating: Packed in like sardines. Tables shoved so tight I had to angle my left arm just to take a bite. Zero comfort. Zero space. Not what you expect at this price point. Food: For $50+ per person, it should wow. It didn't. Average at best--and when you're crammed and distracted, "average" feels worse. Restroom: Non-negotiable fail. No toilet paper in either stall. Dried yellow urine on the seats. I had to grab paper towels from the sink just to handle basics. Went back--other stall still out. I left. That's unacceptable anywhere, especially at a "premium" steakhouse. Management: I called afterward and spoke with Carolina, who said she's the manager. She pointed me to a generic info email instead of an owner contact. After that restroom situation, that response felt dismissive. Bottom line: If you charge steakhouse prices, deliver steakhouse standards--space the tables, keep bathrooms stocked and clean, and empower managers to make it right. Until those basics are fixed, I'm out. -- First time. Last time

The cocktails were spot on, and the steaks came out cooked perfectly. Most of the sides were great, though I'd probably skip the macaroni next time, it just lacked flavor. The complimentary bread with herbed olive oil was a perfect start to the meal. The pricing felt a bit high for what you get, but the ambiance more than makes up for it. Our server was super friendly and did an excellent job pacing the meal so everything flowed smoothly. The only hiccup was a water glass showing up with bright red lipstick on it, but it was taken care of immediately, no harm, no foul. Overall, this is a lovely spot for a fancy night out with good service. And don't forget to swing by the shop next door to pick up some top-notch olive oil.

No refunds issued even if the person dies…read more I booked this venue for my mother's 80th birthday party for 2/2023, unfortunately we lost my mother unexpectedly on 5/1/2022. I reached out to get a full refund...to now use this money towards her headstone... but all I got was a lack of empathy! They are not understanding at all, my heart is broken, my mom is gone and all they care about is a contract. Contracts can be amended....if you choose to do the right thing...as this was out of our control. They chose to stick to their guns and look the other way. I had already paid $921 towards her party....after several weeks I received a partial refund of $361...I really don't understand why a full refund could not have been issued, as they still have 9 months to rent their venue out. This venue is nice.....but I would think twice about renting this place out....because you will not be refunded if one of your loved ones...are to die or have an accident. No empathy, no understanding, and no heart.

Any time I leave a 3-star review, feel the need to point out that Yelp defines 3 stars as "A-OK.",…read moreand that's exactly what I thought this event space was, A-OK. I was here for a wedding, as a guest. Despite being an odd location, and a bit of a drive, I liked the adventure aspect. As we pulled up, we could not help but to wonder what is inside this rather non-descript building. Inside we found a large seating area, a stage, a bar, and doors to more rooms. One room was additional seating, that lead to a small outdoor area. This is were the ceremony was, and except from the sound of race car motors (I was told there is a racetrack nearby, in fact there are two - Texas Raceway & Kennedale Speedway Park), it was rather pretty. After the ceremony we returned inside, where I had the chance to wander a bit. I should have taken more pictures. The pinball machines, on the walls was interesting. The Airstream trailer being used as a stage was quite clever. There was another large red truck against one wall. Not sure what it was used for, and I forgot to take a closer look. There was also a pool table, maybe two, which many guests took advantage of. The line at the (cash) bar got quite long at times, and it actually deterred me from getting a drink. I only saw one bartender at the bar, so I stuck to the self-serve iced tea. Being a cash bar (i.e. not open), I would have thought it would have been staffed better. When prompted, we lined up for food, and were served. I thought the servers did a good job and gave off a friendly vibe. I'm assuming the food was catered, in-house, by Red's, and so your experience may differ based on the menu. I thought for what it was, chicken and beef tacos, with beans and rice, it was a little sub-par. Not horrible, just not all that great (for being in Texas). Also, the re-fried beans seem to have been a little scorched, leaving a slightly funky flavor. Apparently, in the past, Red's used to be a full time restaurant and bar. I think they lost their touch, or maybe never had it. I would seriously consider other food options, or perhaps have it catered from outside. It would be worth the extra fee. So, as a funky Texas event space, A-OK. Bottom line: Good choice if you are looking for a road-house feel for your special event.
