It was fantastic! Fun history of the family distillery and I definitely know what I don't like! I mean if chewing on a barrel board soaked in alcohol was a thing, that's what some of them tasted like! Don't be mad! Just my opinion! I'm normally sipping on Sangria! Now the buttered pecan, it was like sipping spicy syrup! And that was delightful! Pass the pancakes! The toasted coconut ! Warmed my heart in the best way possible! And then we got to the moonshine! Thankfully it was just tiny tasting cups! My favorites were the Pecan Sippin Sauce & the Peach Pie. I mean the banana pudding moonshine wasn't terrible either! After all those little TINY sips we had dinner at the cantina on the property. I had birria tacos and TA had birria fries. So GOOD! After we had filled our bellies with FOOD, we had to check out the converted train caboose to speakeasy lounge, just a little walk behind the main building where you could order fun cocktails and just sit and chat. We met some fun people and had the best conversation with delicious cocktails! We tried the chocolate martini and the toffeetini! Every staff member was welcoming, helpful and seemed genuinely happy to work there! The property is great! LOVED the swings outside and the seating inside was fun and inviting! From vintage couches and chairs to tables and chairs! All around great experience! Looking forward to returning for cooler weather, outdoor live music and fire pits!

The food can certainly take longer to get out when they're not there. Tara is an amazing waitress--she has such a fun personality, makes us feel right at home, and practically knows our order by heart. We always enjoy chatting with her! Such a surprise that this beautiful golf course and distillery is so close to my residence…read more My daughter and I came for the red white and blue celebration on July 4th. We bought our tickets to the event when we arrived. Tickets for tours are also available. After walking through the store and the rows of wooden barrels from floor to ceiling, you find yourself in a small area with a big bar. The event price includes one cocktail of your choice. I chose the Oh Peachy and later purchased a pecan old-fashioned; both were delicious! Unfortunately, the food truck broke down, so there was no food available!! Big Mike was performing in the big lodge room; the acoustics are pretty bad, especially once people start talking, but at least it was cool in there, We spent a lot of time in the store and ended up purchasing a fused bottle of whiskey to split. It was fun, deciding which cork stopper to get to add to my daughter's collection. The store has different sizes and shapes of a wooden court display boards; in the shape of Texas. The golf course surrounding the distillery, looks beautiful and well taken care of.

There was also a person handing out free taster frozen whiskey shooters. Pretty kid friendly. I brought my 2 and 4 year old to meet up with another family from out of town with young kids. A little loud during the World Cup, but seating was plentiful on a Thursday night and they had a few kid friendly food options (grilled cheese, pizza, quesadillas, chicken nuggets and fries). Parking was easy as there's a covered parking garage attached to the hotel and I think I only paid $1 for 2 hours of parking. There's also a small water splash pad outside for kids to run through and cool down on a hot summer day. Cool spot.

My partner and I shared (2) samplings so that we could try nearly everything on the menu. I will become a regular here and I found out Wednesday is happy hour prices. Reds for $6 and white for $5 a glass. Susan took care of us and she was amazing!! She allowed us to taste the wines to make sure we liked our final selection. She answered all our questions and educated my friend on the different types of wine because she was a beginner wine drinker. We also learned that all the wines they serve are Lost Oak's. Even though we got there at 7:20 and they closed at 8pm she didn't rush us and took her time serving us. My friend got a white wine and I got the cabernet franc. We both enjoyed them. The establishment is beautiful, the have seating outside and inside. They also have games and a wine club you can join. Can't wait to go back especially when the weather is a little cooler so we can use their fire pits.
