They opted to get married underneath this enormous oak tree, there are several other ceremony spots too. They have a lit area under the trees for cocktail hour and the reception took place inside the barn. It's everything you'd want in a barn wedding, wood details, barn doors, antique furniture. They have a bridal suite upstairs in the barn and a separate grooms house a little bit of a ways from the barn. It's a little bit out there in the middle of nowhere but it's worth the drive!

I myself had 2 such interactions; the first when I went to my car to get headache medicine for the groom, and the second when my date broke the heel on her shoe and we had to get her tennis shoes. At least 3 wedding party members had similar experiences. The groom and his family had to spend a significant amount of the reception putting out fires the owners caused instead of celebrating appropriately. It was an absolute disgrace. I understand the need to monitor and be on the lookout for unlicensed alcohol or other prohibited items, but carrying a firearm around a wedding reception?? This might be a ranch, but it's not the Wild West. I would never recommend this venue, the owners, their preferred vendors, or anything/anyone associated with this business.

First, this is not an all-inclusive venue. Many items are charged separately, including linens, use of the TV, AV equipment, and even certain rooms like the back room. These additional costs can add up quickly, so I recommend asking for a full breakdown of fees in advance. I also want to mention the policy regarding security officers. When I booked, I was told the officer requirement would be at the manager's discretion. I communicated multiple times that my event would end by 6 PM. However, I was still required to pay for an officer through 10 PM, even though the event ended much earlier. While I understand policies are in place, this was unexpected and felt unfair based on prior communication. One policy to be aware of is that open flames are not allowed. I was able to adjust without issue, but it's something to plan for ahead of time. Overall, the space itself is nice, but I strongly recommend getting clear, written confirmation of all fees, policies, and requirements before booking to avoid surprises.

For those of you reading the other reviews about it being hot in the summer because of no AC, THERE IS NOW AC! The reception hall and all the back rooms are fully air conditioned! If you want an easy wedding planning experience and a beautiful backdrop to marry the love of your life (that costs fractions of what it would at other venues), Sparrow Creek is the place to go! We used The Grove for our ceremony, however there are different areas you can use and they're all beautiful. The reception barn is rustic and so gorgeous in itself you don't have to use a lot of decor. Need decor!? No problem, this place has a plethora of decor you have access to. Kalli has a list of vendors she recommends and they too, did not disappoint!! SCR is not only affordable, you get the entire weekend. We decorated the day before and it was so nice and took stress away to be able to get that completed and not rush the day of. We were able to spend the day of wedding just getting ready and I, just enjoyed spending the day with my daughter. If this venue isn't close to you they have you covered there as well. Less than 1/2 a mile is Wildcatter Ranch and we had a wonderful stay there. Another plus to this venue is there are 2 bridal suites. We were able to get ready and hang out in one and the other was a beautiful location for bridal pictures. We did not have to rush around and clean to take pictures. It was a early morning walk so no one had disturbed them yet. The room i stayed in had 4 twin size beds, a small kitchen area and one bathroom. There was a few rockers on the front porch and a fire pit with more seating not too far away. We spent most of the day in a community room with full kitchen, bathrooms and a bar area. It was a great space for our group. Lots of parking outside and lots of things to do outside as well. The place was clean and welcoming. There were several houses that you can rent as well, instead of having twin sized beds. Beautiful place!
