No refunds issued even if the person dies. I booked this venue for my mother's 80th birthday party for 2/2023, unfortunately we lost my mother unexpectedly on 5/1/2022. I reached out to get a full refund...to now use this money towards her headstone... but all I got was a lack of empathy! They are not understanding at all, my heart is broken, my mom is gone and all they care about is a contract. Contracts can be amended....if you choose to do the right thing...as this was out of our control. They chose to stick to their guns and look the other way. I had already paid $921 towards her party....after several weeks I received a partial refund of $361...I really don't understand why a full refund could not have been issued, as they still have 9 months to rent their venue out. This venue is nice.....but I would think twice about renting this place out....because you will not be refunded if one of your loved ones...are to die or have an accident. Any time I leave a 3-star review, feel the need to point out that Yelp defines 3 stars as "A-OK.", and that's exactly what I thought this event space was, A-OK. I was here for a wedding, as a guest. Despite being an odd location, and a bit of a drive, I liked the adventure aspect. As we pulled up, we could not help but to wonder what is inside this rather non-descript building. Inside we found a large seating area, a stage, a bar, and doors to more rooms. One room was additional seating, that lead to a small outdoor area. This is were the ceremony was, and except from the sound of race car motors (I was told there is a racetrack nearby, in fact there are two - Texas Raceway & Kennedale Speedway Park), it was rather pretty. After the ceremony we returned inside, where I had the chance to wander a bit. I should have taken more pictures. The pinball machines, on the walls was interesting. The Airstream trailer being used as a stage was quite clever. There was another large red truck against one wall. Not sure what it was used for, and I forgot to take a closer look. There was also a pool table, maybe two, which many guests took advantage of. The line at the (cash) bar got quite long at times, and it actually deterred me from getting a drink. I only saw one bartender at the bar, so I stuck to the self-serve iced tea. Being a cash bar (i.e. not open), I would have thought it would have been staffed better. When prompted, we lined up for food, and were served. I thought the servers did a good job and gave off a friendly vibe. I'm assuming the food was catered, in-house, by Red's, and so your experience may differ based on the menu. I thought for what it was, chicken and beef tacos, with beans and rice, it was a little sub-par. Not horrible, just not all that great (for being in Texas). Also, the re-fried beans seem to have been a little scorched, leaving a slightly funky flavor. Apparently, in the past, Red's used to be a full time restaurant and bar. I think they lost their touch, or maybe never had it. I would seriously consider other food options, or perhaps have it catered from outside. It would be worth the extra fee. So, as a funky Texas event space, A-OK. Bottom line: Good choice if you are looking for a road-house feel for your special event. read more

This was our first time to dine at Red's Roadhouse. We were there earlier for a meeting in one of the banquet rooms and decided to stay and have a couple of appetizers since it was so late. What a funky place! I love all the old cars. To say the least, Red's has a VERY eclectic atmosphere. Our server, Sophia, took very good care of us. My wife ordered a beer and I ordered a margarita on the rocks. My margarita was delicious. We also order the "Texas Toothpicks" and Chips and Queso for our appetizers. The Texas Toothpicks are a mixture of thin slices of onions and jalapenos. The batter was almost a tempura type of batter. Very nicely served and presented. They were served with a side of Ranch dressing. The chips, queso and hot sauce was very ample. I wasn't a huge fan of Red's "smoky" salsa. There wasn't much "bite" to it. My wife and I will be back again soon to try some of Red's other menu offerings sometime soon in the future. read more

We had our wedding Back in November at Reds Roadhouse. Let me just say, as a new bride I will never have another wedding. I still can't even think straight because of everything that has happened at this venue. The past 2 weeks preparing for the wedding have been THE WORST!!! They definitely SUCK on communication. 2 weeks before the wedding we came in to pay our final payment for our venue. That was the day we found out that, they never wrote down on our contract what time our wedding rehearsal was, also that they scheduled a sweet 16 in our venue at the same time as OUR rehearsal!!! Not even that, Courtney the owners daughter whom works their, made a SEPARATE CONTRACT!!!! Somehow managed to add another $100 to our invoice! We brought in our original contract from the what they owner made us and gave us the copy. Luckily we didn't forget it or else we would've been screwed. It doesn't stop there... After we found out about the sweet 16 being in our space, Courtney informed us that the party hasn't paid, nor had been responding to them to confirm their event. She said that she would call us that evening or the next day to confirm with us if they will be there. Never received a call.. Also I had sent email, texts and had left voicemails about this. I didn't hear from them for 5 DAYS!!! Finally Lisa confirmed with me that, that party will not be their and I am golden have the rehearsal and to decorate. Finally it's 3 days before our wedding, my then fiancé shows me an email from Lisa stating that the party will be their and that we cannot decorate. So of course my fiancé called her and told that that's not right. She then tells him she is sorry and because of this we will have complimentary food and drinks in our bridal and groom suits for this. By the way, she denied us that food the day of the wedding. And none of us had eaten yet. The night of the rehearsal, we were in pitch black for the first 20 minutes and they had the parties music playing our area where we were trying to rehearse. It was so LOUD that we had to literally yell at each other. I had asked them multiple times to turn the lights on and turn the music off. Finally my sister and one of the groomsmen had to go and take care of it. Also their was a DJ setting us on our designated area setting us while we were trying to rehearse. That was not our DJ by the way. Finally the wedding day, we had no food, they never closed the curtains for where it hides the reception from the ceremony garden, like they said they would multiple times. Also, their was supposed to be a host at the entrance way greeting our guests and let them know where to sign our guest book. We only had maybe half of guests sign it. (Still trying to find out who came) then, when we were cutting our cake, their was supposed to also be a server their, that was going to cut and serve the cake. Well of course that also didn't happen. Instead the owners daughter was walking around talking to the bartender and not paying attention to that. My sister went and talked to her about that, and they never did anything about it. My sister ended up having to cut the 3 tier cake and serve it to our guests instead of being with the rest of the bridal party. Also she misses pictures too. One more thing they had another reception going on during is getting ready in the bridal suite, during that time my nieces who are 7 and 11 has to pee really bad and they knew where the restrooms were on their way, they got yelled at by a staff member at reds Roadhouse for going through room where the reception was. That's the only way they could go. And they told them that. They told them to go back to the suite and stay in there!! This place literally ruined my wedding!!! A whole year of planning and working a weekend job on top of working M-F and having our venue reserved with them since March. I left my my own wedding!!! The staff members didn't care and treated it like crap. Oh and they have a new marketing manager who is the owners daughter. I believe she is a scammer. She emailed my husband and we talked to her over the phone about everything with the wedding. She told us that she has been working behind the scenes for for about a month. She said she is trying to fix this place. Also she said she would send us a gift for having our wedding their. We never heard from her again. Also, we never heard from the Venue again. This place is an absolute nightmare. I had my wedding booked here for Oct 2016 and ended up cancelling with this venue a month before the wedding due to the actions of the owner. When I originally booked the venue it was a restaurant and brewery. Two months after we booked and put down our deposit they became a full time event venue and started adding things such as a bridal suite and ceremony garden. We were told since we were booking early in the afternoon the main building would be closed as they previously didn't open until 5pm so we booked this space on the idea that we would be the only people on the grounds at the time of our wedding. They then booked several events going on in different areas at the same time as our wedding. I could have dealt with this if it wasn't for the fact that our guests will now have to walk through someone else's event to get to our room! When they changed into an event venue and added a bridal/groom suite and ceremony garden I was not informed but saw them post pictures on the Facebook so I confirmed with the owner that I would have use of the bridal suite for getting ready the morning of the wedding (and have texts to prove it) and was also told again by the director of events when we paid in full that I would have use of their new bridal suite. Then a month before the wedding I was told since I didn't book the ceremony garden I do not get use of this area. Okay, well, it didn't exist when I booked nor did anyone reach out to tell me about it even though I was the first event booked on this date. Then I was told that the ceremony garden is already booked and the room is in use despite being told I had the use of it. Secondly, we paid a fee to have a private bar set up in or event space and then were told they are moving our event to the bar in the main room (so guests would have to leave my wedding to get a drink) even though this is not what was in my contract. Not only is it in a different area but the area it is in is in a room that they book for events! There were also going to be two other events going on at the same time that will be using the bar that we paid a fee to have set up. Aside from all of this the owner then said that we owe $1000 more than what was in our original signed contract and we also now owe $5 a person for using outside catering. When I told her that I was never told about the outside catering fee she flat out called me a liar and told me her event manager would never not tell me that. I had a copy of my contract with a hand written detailed list FROM THE EVENT MANAGER detailing that all that we owed after paying in full was the tax and a 20% production fee. Where was this extra $1000 coming from?! It was not in any of the THREE copies of my contract that I have. When I asked if she could show me an area where stating the total venue fee at the price she is now claiming she produced a copy of my contract that she used blue pen to mark out certain things and write in new things. So the claims of Lisa changing the contracts are 100% spot on. I was lucky to find another venue that was AMAZING and really saved my wedding. As for Lisa Pennington and Reds Roadhouse, they were awful and I highly doubt they are in business much longer. read more

I cannot say it enough that choosing to have our wedding at Reds Roadhouse was the start of something great. The venue has a distinctly cool aesthetic, it's reasonably priced and the owner/ her team --Lisa, Courtney, Aleisha-- are extremely helpful, caring, WILL GO ABOVE AND BEYOND while staying patient. Because we chose Reds as our venue, we were able to stay calm, cool and damn near collected for our nupts. When you visit Reds, you'll see a unique style and palette of colors --from the tree branch stringed with lights to old classic cars; their stainglass backdrop to their armstream bar is to DIE FOR... the aesthetic of Red's Roadhouse is consistent and provides a great, semi-blank (but ultimately dreamy) backdrop for any event. It photographed so well. Everyone talked about how neat the space is and a lot of the details of the space really jump out at you and add to whatever decorations you go with. We had such an easy time working with the owner and our visitor's had nothing but the best to say about the venue's ease of accessibility and layout. If you haven't picked a place for your Fort Worth wedding, I seriously recommend Red's Roadhouse in Kennedale. We had a great experience. I had my wedding here back in April. The staff was very helpful and always answered my emails. They allowed me to come and visit multiple times. Since there was no event the Friday before, all of the decorating and cakes arrived well before Saturday and were stored in their kitchen! Multi-stage music venue and restaurant-cum-brewpub pretty far down Mansfield Hwy. One-star ratings from me are very rare but this place deserves it not only for the quality (it was terrible) but for not delivering on what is promised, advertised or expected. The place has reinvented itself a couple of times, most recently last November. The main entry is sort of hidden by a bad layout, so I ended up entering through a side. The interior is large and expansive, typical roadhouse decor, with pool tables and the owner's private classic car collection inside and available for everyone to climb into and enjoy. (Car clubs, bike rallies and local benefits are common here.) Also includes about four or five stages of varying sizes in different rooms, including a large covered patio on one side. Menu is typical Texas fare, burgers and BBQ, with a chef's eye toward "elevating" ordinary pub grub. Ordered the pulled pork sliders and, at the recommendation of the bartender, a side of mac and cheese. What he described as a phenomenal "six-cheese blend" and the menu listed with bacon topping was watery, bland, overcooked pasta containing barely one cheese and no bacon that would be awful even in a middle-school cafeteria. The pork sliders were on three Hawaiian sweet rolls that hadn't even been separated, open-faced like a hot dog bun with the pork laid across it. The sauce was so cloyingly sweet it was almost candied and, of course, included no coleslaw as listed on the menu. Everyone was enthusiastic about the house-brewed beers and eagerly let me sample all of them, but they were across-the-board undrinkably flawed and no one knew enough to tell. The brewer is an amateur homebrewer, and instead of perfecting a few recipes has turned out dozens of different styles in the few short months he's been brewing, mastering none of them. Ordered a couple of the flavored wheat beers, decent but not great, but the rest had too much diacetyl contamination to drink. If all you expect is to hang out, listen to some music and sip a Bud Light or Jack and Coke, this is probably a great place. However, the owner clearly aspires to be more than this but fails miserably at it, and isn't even aware of how short he falls from his intentions. read more

Had lunch with a group here the other day. Trying to eat healthy(-er), so I had the Cobb salad. It was pretty filling with enough chicken and ham to satisfy the carnivore in me. Most everyone else ordered a burger. Gotta say... next time I'm gonna do the same. One guy in our group ordered the regular roadhouse burger and remarked that it was the best burger he'd had in a while. Another ordered the squeeze burger, which looked fantastic. That will be my order the next time -- with the waffle cut sweet potato fries. Red's reminds me of the funky restaurants near John Wayne airport either in The Lab or The Camp "anti-malls" with a whole lotta Texas thrown in. It's a stand alone site that could easily encompass The Lab in it's entirety. Took the family there just as the dinner crowd was thinning out and the late crowd was getting there for whatever band was going to play soon. Dinning area was almost empty since most everyone was outside. Decor is a mix of old cars, trailers, and what I would best describe as roadside antiques or junktiques depending on your perspective. We ordered the Dragon Fries appetizer (fries tossed in buffalo sauce topped with cheese) and those are almost addictive. Between the Pot Roast, chicken and waffles, chicken fried steak, ribs... we got just about everything on the menu with the exception of a Hamburger. Everything was quite tasty with the exception being my pot roast. It was salty and I couldn't quite tell if the carrots were undercooked on purpose or not. The sides were great overall, however they did not have any sweet potato mash which would have helped cut through the saltiness of the beef. Portions are large, we could have ordered half the food and left full. The staff never let our drinks get below half empy, the tea was fresh, and we were too stuffed to even attempt dessert. We brought home the leftovers and finished them off the next day at lunch - Even the pot roast. The old website referenced their chef coming from Spago or something of the like. This was removed and that's a good thing, cause the food is very good, but not gourmet. I'll be a regular at Red's and hope they are able to establish themselves as a preferred venue for area bands. Went to Reds several times, back when it was a restaurant and bar, really enjoyed it. The owner came by and sat down at our table one night and told us the story of how our table fell out of the back of his truck, on the way to Reds, and that is why it was distressed looking. We enjoyed his visit and the story and he even bought us a drink. However, that was a while ago, and things have unfortunately changed. For the past 6 weeks I have repeatedly called and left messages, seeking information about booking a wedding. I have not received a single call back and after reading the horrific "wedding venue" reviews, it is truly a Blessing that no one returned my calls. It is so sad that Reds has evolved into such an undesirable, poorly managed business! That evening, as the owner sat at our table and shared the story of how " our" table skidded down I-20, I could see the gleam in his eye and how proud he was of the business he built. Could be a very cool venue but the service is terrible. We have been twice to the Sunday music series. The wait staff is very young and seems very inexperienced. Both times they had wait staff quit in the middle of their shift. We were there last Sunday and they were serving HOT beer. I asked to trade mine for a draft beer and was told the keg was frozen. They were not prepared for the crowd that showed up. If the owner reads this, let me give you a heads up. You have Cody Canada coming next Sunday and it will be packed! Ice the beer down early, set up all your tables and chairs before the crowd shows up and hire plenty of experienced wait staff! You will need it. However, I will not be there. read more

I went here on Friday night to check out the place, have dinner and listen to some music. Arrived 90 minutes before the band started and the place was pretty empty so I figured it was just early. I walked around the place because it is so cool inside with a lot of interesting pieces all over. Sat at the outside bar, service was friendly, efficient and drinks were good. I am a healthy eater so I settled for the Strawberry Salad with Balsamic Dressing and my hubby had the Club Sandwich. Both were good. Great music, it was Callahan Divide. Never got crowded. Last January I reserved to have my wedding reception here for. Eight days before my party I got a call that they were closing. I did get my money back but I had to find an alternate venue for 80 plus guest in that short amount of time. - There were many warning signs, such as staff not returning my calls when I was planning the reception. I had difficulty getting even basic questions answered. My husband and I enjoyed going there when it was a bar so we kept trying to work with them. Everybody else had burgers of various kinds and they were all a hit. The atmosphere here is really cool with some classic cars scattered around everywhere and even an Airstream camper. Outside is an awesome music venue with lots of old pinball machines for decoration and an old trailer behind the bar. We went here last night because I'd had friends recommend it but I had never tried it, it is nearby, and we had a coupon :) I had the chicken club which was really good, and not at all spongy like a lot of casual restaurants these days (I'm a bit of a chicken connoisseur, it's the only meat I eat!) My boyfriend liked his pork chops and mac n cheese, which you could tell was from scratch and not just Velveeta. The food was a little over-priced but the alcohol was not. My boyfriend's double bourbon was about as cheap as what you pay for a single anywhere else, and he ordered a premium! I tried 2 of the house beers, which had more of a homebrew taste than a craft brew but still very tasty. The venue was neat and seemed like the patio was a fun time, we just didn't want to pay cover to stay and listen at the time. I think we'll go back again, and I'd recommend it! read more

Went on Wednesday night. The place is really nice and unique. The restaurant was 90% empty at 7:00pm. Our server was excellent, but the food was below average. I even commented to my friend that it would be a great place for someone to help get the food up to standards before it goes out of business. We started with the dragon fries. They are french fries soaked in buffalo wing sauce and covered in cheese. They would have been ok if they weren't cold. We ate a few and left the balance on the plate. I had the roadhouse burger. The burger was good but the bbq sauce was very sweet and took away from the meat. My friend had the chicken-fried steak. His comment was that it was a frozen patty and not heated all the way through.
