October, 2025 After…read more6 weeks dealing with the insurance company and different roofers, I wrote the president of KHov, letting him know what had happened with their contracted America Roofing. I let them know that I had hired a different roofing company to repair the leak that America Roofing "could not find". KHov sent representatives to the house the next day. (Kudos to KHov, though it did take 6 weeks of constant communication, hiring a different roofer, and dealing with insurance to get to this point.) The reps said that they doubted that the roof leak could have caused the electricity to malfunction in the affected part of the house... until their electrician took down the now-inoperative ceiling fan and water poured out. "Oh, okay. What would you like, Jeff?" "Return my house to as it was before the leak." To KHov's credit, they repaired the drywall, baseboard, replaced the ceiling fan, and paid for the roof repair done by a company other than America Roofing. America Roofing never acknowledged that their work was the cause of this leak and subsequent damage, deflecting, denying and delaying and being less-than-honest. KHov, however, did eventually stand behind their work. Thank you.

After emailing and calling with no response, I looked at the state contractor's website under his contractor number to find out his license had expired because he hadn't paid his fees! The job was done at the specified time frames and they were quick to come out and look at something I thought might be an issue after the job was done. Revamp Roofing was one of three bidders that came to my house to look at some roof damage that was…read morecausing a minor leak in a bedroom ceiling. I received a call back in less than an hour after submitting my request for a quotation. That was very impressive. I believe I got an inspection visit the very next day. The quotation was also received within a day, and on a Saturday at that! Dai Zayas, who I presume is their office person, was very professional and courteous and replied to every one of my inquiries be it by telephone or email. I know that a courteous, professional and maybe even a happy person should be normal for front line people answering telephones or replying to email, but that unfortunately today is not the case. But Dai was all that and more! Ruben was the person who came out and inspected the project. He too was very professional and courteous. He inspected the problem area, took several pictures, which he then showed me on his tablet. It was nice to be able to see where the problem was and learn what could be done to remedy the issue. Ruben's quote offered two options; one a perfectly acceptable "fix" with a warranty, and a second larger scale option that really was more to let me know what it would cost should they discover more damage underneath the shingles as they began the repair. Essentially, the second/larger option spelled out the worst-case scenario, so I would not be surprised after-the-fact. I found this to be very considerate and again, unfortunately not a business practice you will find very often today! However, Ruben was very confident all I would need performed was the "fix" proposal. That turned out to be the case. Ruben, if you are one of the lead people at Revamp, you are setting a great example! Devin, the young man who came out to do the work was yet again, very professional and courteous (are you starting to see a theme here). He spent time prior to starting the work explaining what he planned to do, then upon completion, re-explained what he had done. He also took pictures and showed me every aspect of the work completed. I know I am harping on these types of points, but I just don't encounter enough young people doing their jobs today that act like Devin. He honestly seemed thrilled to be doing what he was doing to earn a living and it came across. I wish more young people would act this way. Nice job Devin! The price was significantly less than the two other bids. I am not the type person who always picks the cheapest price because as the old saying goes, sometimes you get what you pay for! However, between all the 5-star reviews here on Yelp, plus how responsive and courteous both Dai and Ruben were before I agreed to hire them and then Devin on the job, it was an easy choice. Another small point on the prices quoted - and I may be off base here - but as a Scottsdale resident I sometimes feel I get the "Scottsdale" quote from contractors. My home is pretty modest and old and essentially the type structure you would find anywhere in the valley. However, I think that when a Scottsdale address is associated to a bid request, for some reason contractors think they can extract a little bit more. I didn't feel that was the case with Revamp. In closing, I sense that Revamp spends time training people how to act professionally and finding the type people who are trainable. Nice work Revamp - keep it up and you will be around a long time. I wholly endorse Revamp Roofing as a company you can trust and urge you to call them for a bid should you need any roof work. You will not be disappointed.

BE WARY OF THEIR 5-STAR REVIEWS -- I was fooled too. ! I had a tree fall on my house and due to…read morethat stellar rating I had the son Anthony come out. He seemed pleasant enough and gave me what seemed to be a fair price (it is a small job luckily). I asked by phone if when he came he could do it on the spot and he said no, so I realized that much. Upon arrival he assessed the damage (without even going on a ladder to look mind you) then provided the quote. Once he saw the job Anthony said they are very busy so it may not be until the weekend after next before they could get to me; a little longer than I wanted to wait but it was a small job and a fair price. A couple weeks went by with no word so I texted to follow up if he could do it and he replied, "I'll let you know on Thursday". Because I knew how non-committal he was I asked "So is there even a CHANCE you can do it this coming weekend then?" and his curt reply was "Like I said, I'll let you know Thursday". This, and the time I'd waited already, put me off and then as suspected I got no word from him on Thursday of course. So days later I texted asking if his radio silence meant he didn't want the job and AGAIN, no response. I figured I'd give him one last chance a few days later to respond so I texted and finally (figuring ghosting me was not working), he told me they are too busy for me and will not be doing my job. What an unnecessary waste of my time with all the issues I'm dealing with already. It shows unreliability and a lack of concern for their customers who they gave a quote to, not to schedule the job or to even follow up with -- twice (especially one a tree on their house and other storm-related damage). It's one thing to be busy but to come out and give a quote and then ghost someone hoping they'll go away is very unprofessional. Not only did he not do the job, but he wasted my time knowing he wouldn't do it when I could've found someone else. If a business knows they are weeks or months behind then at least let the customer know up front and don't lead them on and just disappear with mixed messages. I expect him to respond saying he told me they were busy but I pressed him several times asking if the job (which he could have probably hammered out in an hour) or two was going to keep being pushed back and he never followed up nor indicated he may just change his mind and not even bother scheduling me if a more lucrative job came up -- or even responding for that matter. He cannot deny anything I just stated however as it is all on camera and text (feel free to contact me if proof is needed). Basically he came out here hoping for a bigger job and when he saw it was not big enough I went to the "back of the line" with them. At least be honest. If he was that backed up he would've said so and not driven out here. Again, this review speaks to YM Roofing's reliability and professionalism, not the job they did since they reneged on the quote they gave me and never did the job. First impressions mean a lot with customers however, and if this is how you are treated right off the bat then no amount of reviews will give them confidence in their performance. Maybe if you're "lucky" enough to have an extensive job with a huge budget they will give you more consideration, but as a 5-star business owner myself I don't think customers should be treated by how big or small the job is or how much money they stand to make, because a satisfied customer with a small job today can be a future customer with a large one too. So if you do consider using them, at the very least have a backup ready and waiting just in case.

I've had quite a few roofers knock on my door over the last several storm seasons and I had been…read morewaiting for some storm to make a new roof covered by my insurance.  Albert simplified the nuances of how the claim system works, answered all of my questions, and made me feel comfortable by walking me through all the processes. Not only did the insurance company reimburse my entire roof less the deductible, but Albert upgraded it into a more modern long-lasting shingle at no additional cost to me. Albert also coordinated with solar panels removal, cleaning and replacement. And coordinated with Solatube (which I love) installing 3, and his roofer installing 1 Velux sun tunnel skylight (which I definitely don't love because it probably gives 20% of the Solatube light.) I'm listing my home soon, grateful to have the value of a new roof and skylights making all the difference.  He's even going to drive my 26 foot U-Haul for me on the day that I have to move and that says a lot about his dedication to his customers.  I would only recommend using Albert Bronson, 602-809-7277.
