My family and I ordered 4 drinks, and was waiting by the counter observing each order to come out. We were excited to get our drink to begin our family day. We have checked in once for our drink and we were told that the drink was taken by other customers and they will re-make our drinks, which is fine, as I completely understand with the busy morning hour. We kept waiting for another 10 minutes and they haven't even start our drinks. We left and asked for refund and grabbed coffee somewhere else.

I recently dined at Third Coast, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory. The service was notably slow; it took over 10 minutes for us to even receive water, during which time the staff appeared more engaged in their own conversations and meals than attending to customers. This lack of attention wasn't unique to us, as I noticed another group experiencing similar service issues. Cleanliness also seemed to be a concern. Each cup we were given had visible dirty stains and soap marks, which is unacceptable in any dining establishment. Regarding the food, it was extremely bland and uninspiring, reminiscent of what you might expect from a mediocre chain restaurant. The lack of flavor and quality was surprising and disappointing, especially considering the price. For a simple meal consisting of eggs, bacon, toast, and hash browns for two, the bill came to nearly $50. This is steep, especially when compared to other local spots like Viking Chili Bowl or Maple and Bacon, where I've enjoyed far better meals at half the price. We had read some reviews about this place and decided to try it...I got the corned beef hashbrowns and eggs, as suggested. I was not impressed. My has browns were sparse and burnt to a crisp. The eggs, as stated, were from, "The happiest Chickens". They were good and the yolks were bright yellow and creamy and yummy. I'll be getting my eggs from farmers from now on....no more store bought eggs for us. Those chickens must not be very happy. Our service...not great...we were just a number and we had to get up before the waitress even brought us our bill...when we were clearly done. I had ordered Latte and my husband ordered regular coffee. She brought my husband a water as well....not me. When I finished my latte...she never checked on me again to see if I wanted a refill or even a water. All in all...I was not impressed with the meal. We stumbled upon this cafe looking just for coffee after visiting Indiana Dunes. We weren't planning on eating, but after seeing the menu, we changed our mind. The food was delicious! We have some dietary restrictions and they had options for everyone. Our server, Kelly was awesome! She was patient as we decided which of the many options to choose from, she was quick to bring the food, and she really made us feel welcome. They were closing in 10 minutes when we got our food, but they never once mentioned it, or hurried us in any way. This place is a true Cafe and I look forward to the next time we are driving from Middlebury to Chicago so we can stop here again. Wish this place was here in Seattle so we could eat there often. read more

*Please Fix it - Fast!* What happened to Third Coast food?? Our fav for 14 years not serving good food like before. We consistently order the same thing, so it really stands out when it's off. Things were okay back in early June. But early August visit was messed up by the kitchen. Eggs not fully cooked as requested. Cheese added in when it should be on the side. The slimy texture literally turned my stomach while eating. I mentioned the poor cooking to the server and asked if there was new staff in the kitchen (answer: yes). Our lunch was followed by burping up that meal hours later, which NEVER happens to either of us. Food prep or storage, or both, are to blame.
