We have eaten here several times and it has always been a pleasure. We meet with a Rather large group and they have been very accommodating to seat us together. Breakfast is really good and the club sandwich for lunch is the best I have ever had. Others said the smash burger is excellent also and the prices are very reasonable. I really wanted to give this place five stars because when we first moved here, this was my absolute favorite brunch place!! It was just so charming!! They did change some things on the menu since we moved here last August. They took away their amazing, huge cinnamon roll and replaced it with a very dry one. My daughter would get the cinnamon roll every single time she came in. But then when they came out with the new one she passed. Just didn't have enough icing on it, and it was dry around the edges. The other thing that I was sad about is that they went with plain old white coffee cups with their name on them. It seems so corporate to me. They stood out with their colorful, huge mugs for coffee!! My daughter and I absolutely adore that. It made them stand out a bit . Their food is pretty good. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. The only other tip I would recommend would be when you guys have specials listed on your specialty menu to make sure you don't run out of anything. Last time I was there, you ran out of the banana bread latte and that was pretty disappointing. And please bring your cinnamon rolls back lol!! read more

Our server was newer and was wonderful. He was friendly and helpful. The food was prepared with love. They seem to be trying to get creative with brunch options and so far everything I have tried, it is working. Food was delicious. Very minimal wait on Father's Day. Million dollar bacon was good. We also enjoyed the sausage gravy biscuits. I can't remember the other food but it was tasty and the music was at the perfect volume and vibe. It also felt very family friendly. My nephew wanted to celebrate his 30th birthday at Maple plus bacon. The location is great but a little confusing on how to get into the parking lot. A reservations were for 15 people, and the first table that they sent us at would not accommodate us. Therefore, we moved from a booth to several long tables. When you first walked through the door, there's a counter and across from that is a beautiful seating area, very large and accommodating. They also have separate rooms to accommodate more guest . The overall ambience is great beautifully decorated With a full bar. Our server was named Dee and she was very good. I took plenty of pictures so you could can see how delicious the different plates looked. I would give the overall experience 4 1/2 stars but of course I'm not given that option definitely a place to go because it is really nice. read more

Broo this classic place is actually so FIRE. This french toast drink is so dope and actually tasted INCREDIBLE!!! So so so good and such. The monte cristo was also a FIRE classic take on an ACTUAL monte cristo! This monte cristo was so good. Monte Cristo!!! What went well? Everything! All staff was friendly helpful and knowledgeable. The food was great tasting hot delicious. The special coffee I had oh yummy yummy. Would I go back there again oh yes I'm going to go back up there next week probably on the 17th or the 18th of september. I haven't had this good of a breakfast at a restaurant in a long long time. I'm going to drive 5 hours back up north the crown point Indiana because I'm going to take a friend out to rapid City in South Dakota for a week of the Badlands, but before we do we're going to go up to Valparaiso and we're going to have some more maple bacon. LOVE this place. Every time I go here the service & food is amazing. I have tried a few different things since coming here. From their avocado toast, to pancakes, to their kids menu because my son didn't eat everything. My favorite thing about coming here though is that the menu is pretty unique and creative. They also serve some pretty drinks that taste amazing. We try to go on week days when they're not too busy since there's usually a wait every time we go on a weekend or near a holiday. There's a nice atmosphere when you're here though. Plenty of decoration, some TVs playing different things, and the place has a pretty nice layout. Odd request to switch tables interrupted my wife's birthday breakfast. We were excited for a nice family outing And upon arriving at about 10am were escorted to a table by the hostess. We looked over the menu, poured our waters and ordered drinks. As our server was approaching with our beverages the hostess sidled up to ask us to move to another table because ours was needed for an incoming reservation. My four year old began crying because she thought we were leaving without eating. Our other children were also confused. I didn't know that the restaurant took reservations and I thought it was odd that she said our "whole area of benches" was needed but the table next us wasn't moved. We were walked to a tented in a different room, past our perplexed server who stood there holding our drinks and unsure of what to do. We had to inform the server that we were being moved. Then we had to try to excision it to the new server by the new table. No one seemed to one what was happening. Celebrating my wife's birthday took a backseat to us trying to settle the children who didn't understand if we were staying or going. My wife and myself were thrown off as well as we tried to re-look at the menu. I understand that nothing is perfect and that the unexpected can and does occur: but we were given a lame and mumbled apology from the hostess for the inconvenience of her mistake. A simple visit from the manager with an apology or even an offer to comp the coffees would have gone a long way toward reaffirming our value as customers. Food is ok, service is hit or miss. Both were tasty and I'd order the garden bowl again. The over medium eggs were cooked properly and the flavors of the peppers, spinach and feta combined were terrific. Decided on Maple & Bacon this morning after blood work. Seated promptly with water and coffee. Wednesday is a senior citizen 10% discount day. I got the Aberdeen bowl and brought half of it home! My sister and I were looking for a brunch spot while I was in town and we finally tried Maple + Bacon! We went on a Thursday morning and it wasn't too busy. We got seated pretty quickly and our server was nice! We ordered a waffle to share, a corned beef hash, and a kids meal (called Barely Awake) for my daughter. I got the brownie cold brew which was way too sweet for my liking but I usually drink it black. Our server was great and accommodating because she topped off my drink with more cold brew to make it less sweet! The waffle was delicious and the Barley Awake kids meal was a lot.. it had one egg, sausage, and hash browns. We upgraded the toast to the jalapeño and cheddar biscuit which was delicious! Went here while on vacation visiting family in Valpo. This place is definitely a bit bouojee. Portions were nice sized for the money and the food was good. Initial service was kind of slow but they eventually got me set up with coffee.
