Overall, this place is one of the better Thai places in the suburbs. They have a good selection of Thai currys and overall that's what I come here for. Their other menu items don't stand out to me. I'll be back to get take out if I'm in the area for curry. Quality- the panang, duck, and pineapple curry is delicious. It is thick, flavorful, and filled with well cooked meat. Quantity- a lot of curry comes out which is nice. The rice is a bit lacking in quantity tho. I'd rather bring it home with my rice. Atmosphere- I like coming here if I can get a window seat. The rest of the restaurant is a bit gloomy. Service- quick fast service. No complaints

This is a great place. They have a huge menu so it can be a challenge as to what to order. We went for lunch, and everyone loved their selections. The service is friendly and professional. I highly recommend this place

We had the tea leaf salad, which had just the right blend of crunch and spice. The samusas were hot and flesh and the flavor of both the mohinga and coconut chicken noodle dish I had were phenomenal. And of course the service was impeccable. The owner was very friendly and accommodating. We can't wait to be back and try the tofu salad and Shan noodles next time.

I'd rate it on par, or even better, than San Francisco's Burmese options. Service was much friendlier here, that's for sure! Tawk was a delightful host...making jokes along with dish recommendations. Sadly, we gobbled up the food before I remembered to take photos. D'oh! I highly recommend the Tea Leaf salad--a Burmese staple and a real treat if you haven't had it before. Very flavorful and just a hint of spice (don't eat the sliced peppers if you're spice-adverse, but we devoured them). We also had Shan Noodles (B8). I also recommend that. A mild to medium spice level and very tasty. Generous portions. Two dishes was enough for two though I wish we had tried the spring rolls or samosas too--we might have had leftovers if we had! The restaurant itself is inviting and clean. They did a good job considering the location in a strip mall. The lighting looks nice, and the textured walls add to the inviting ambience.

Since my first visit, I have developed a standard order for take out here nearly once a month:…read moreSpring Rolls and the Chicken Satay. If possible, it's only gotten better each time. The chicken is pounded incredibly thin, yet remains juicy and is perfectly spiced and cooked. The bite size rolls are always crunchy and flavorful, especially when dipped in either the lightly sweetened dressing provided or their perfectly balanced chili oil. Strangely enough, however, I usually devour the little cup of cucumber and onion salad that comes with it before anything else - so yummy! The service is always quick, accurate and very friendly; and I'm really happy to be able to whole-heartedly support a hometown business.

I liked that the lunch special had some cucumber pieces to cleanse the palate. My Pad Thai reminds me of the college Thai food that is well made enough but might seem a bit premade. If you like the profile, slightly sticky and chewy noodles with pretty strong sweet flavor profile, this is not bad. Egg roll was light and crunchy, some might like that. Overall I think the Thai flavor is a bit muted, and it's leaning sweet to fit non-Asian palate. It's not bad, but also I think there are better Thai places around Chicago.

This was a favorite local Thai place, however the menu has been severely reduced since the business…read morestarted hosting "Anny's Slots." They no longer serve tofu(!) and you can't get a Thai iced coffee or tea, either. The egg rolls are crispy and mostly noodles; the spicy Thai basil had delicious basil but wasn't spicy (I hesitate to order "spicy" at a Thai restaurant but apparently here one should). I was here early (4pm) on a Friday; the host fired up the kitchen for me. If you want Thai food while playing slots, this is a great place; if you're looking for Thai food full stop, you should probably go elsewhere unless you just need a quick pad thai or yellow curry. Ambiance is fine - seats are comfortable, there are wooden plaques on the walls...table seating only as the booths were torn out for the slot machines. $21 plus tip for egg rolls and spicy (not really) Thai basil.

Now the food : albeit, a bit oily, the dishes are usually very tasty and freshly made. BUT*** warning : I must say the dine-in service and pick up was absolutely unprofessional and rude. And time consuming. though I like to give people the benefit of the doubt (and perhaps he had a really bad day) the owner literally and repeatedly came into the restaurant, took over our order and came into my 78 year old mother's face and started yelling at her and called her a nasty old woman because she asked his wife the chef/COOK*-for extra mushrooms. And how dare we criticize his wifes cooking (which we never ever would or had done). !! In actuality, it was the second time my mother had to ask for mushrooms, as they were not put to her expectation the first time. AND-Nor were any added to the order the previous time we had gone and ordered via phone. Which we did not mention. So that's that. but if you do decide to try it anyway - be sure to specify if you do not want dish sauce or egg in the dishes, especially the fried rice. All the best !
