Pizza box, excellent pizza. 1st time try. Definitely coming back.

5 stars for the most incredible smells coming from this restaurant. When I go to Publix I park in the back of the building and walk through the byway between the buildings to get to the front. As soon as I get out of my car I want to go inside to eat instead of grocery shopping. I always see a line to get in. Check them out, great stuff!

When I first walked in almost everyone greeted me. Super friendly, asked what I needed, explained each choice. Something I really appreciate is when the beverages are not listed or in plain sight they told me all the options instead of me guessing. Small things like that made it super welcoming. I had two plain slices and lemonade. Pizza was great, thin slices and reminded me of home (NJ). Overall, 5/5 experience, worth checking it out!

Large side salad with half creamy Italian & half ranch (I couldn't decide) both were good but I preferred the Italian.

Great spot. Service was great & the atmosphere was nice & comfortable. Food was also great. It all came out piping hot. The Grandmas Pizza was a fan favorite at our table. The crust was light & airy. It had the perfect crisp. My husband got the sausage with spaghetti & really liked it. My sister got the tortellini Alfredo & had zero complaints. Our server said they've been open around 50 years. I guess that's for good reason :)

At the dead center of the Hillsboro Square in Deerfield Beach is this oddly original named family pizza joint. The double ovens were pumping out pizzas in full force as my wife and I waited for our first taste of the thin sliced NY style pizza at a great price of only $3.49. We had a dinner engagement in the area but decided to grab a slice as a quick appetizer to tie us over for a couple of hours. We waited only a few minutes until the lightly charred heavily cheesy slice was placed on the pay counter begging for my undivided attention. The gender assigned bathroom was clean with small white tile walls and vinyl flooring depicting bold black and white mosaic patterns. The big combo special of the day includes a large 16" pizza, 8 chicken wings and a two litre bottle of soda for $32.95. For some reason, there were no patio tables out front (optional full service inside dining room) so we carefully ate the pizza in my vehicle, which now perpetuated a welcoming strong garlic aroma. The thin slice was above average in size and the cornicione was crisp with a mid-tangy sauce.

I had the privilege of dining at the newest Thick & Thin Italian Restaurant located in the Publix shopping center at 230 South Federal Highway in Deerfield Beach. This restaurant is larger than the original restaurant which is located on SR 441 in Boca Raton. As always, the food is exceptional as is the service. The three owners and their staff make your dining experience a true pleasure. Mama Catherine and her daughter Daniella are in the kitchen, and Alex (the brother) is busy making different types of pizza . They have an open kitchen so you can observe your food being made. I had the meatball parmigiana sandwich and my guest had the eggplant parmigiana sandwich. Both were very tasty. I had an Arnold Palmer drink (1/2 iced tea and 1/2 lemonade), and that was very good. I would highly recommend this restaurant and best of all, their prices are reasonable for an Eastside restaurant.

Quaint pizza place with traditional old Italian decor with an ancient looking double steel oven. Every pizza that came out of the oven looked beautiful. Could not resist and bought a slice that I split with my hubby. It was a gorgeous day out but no place to sit outside and eat.

This is our first time at Thick and Thin's Deerfield Beach location, we typically frequent their Boca Raton spot that is closer to home. We stopped in for a quick lunch and were pleased to see they offer lunch specials on weekends--lots of places only offer these on weekdays. The 2 Slice + Drink special for $8.75 is a great deal. Service was quick and the slices were fresh and hot. I added pepperoni to one and mushrooms to the other. Pleased to report their mushrooms are fresh, I avoid places who serve them from a can. We also ordered a half-dozen Garlic Rolls which were served hot and cooked perfectly, with plenty of chopped garlic which is a must. We'll certainly be back!

From order to delivery was very quick. I did not find evidence of the extra cheese that I did order although it was very tasty. Perhaps not needed after all. I'm not a crust eater normally, however I found this crust is flavorful, pillowy and delicious. Overall would order again. Definitely worth stopping for. I did not eat in person. I had it delivered. It was hot upon delivery and delicious.

If you're looking for real New York-style pizza in South Florida, Thick and Thin in Deerfield Beach is the closest I've found to what I grew up eating in Queens in the 1970s. This is a true family business: "We all actually rotate between the stores--my oldest brother Peter, my sister Daniela, my mom Caterina, and my dad Giuseppe, who started it all. We all pitch in to help run the business," says Alessandro Lunetto. The Lunettos have run their Boca Raton shop since 1984, and their Deerfield location recreates that old-school pizzeria vibe--down to the red booths, custom stained glass, and even retro bathroom tile. You'll taste the difference in every bite: imported tomatoes, carefully chosen olive oil, and a special mozzarella that's a family secret. They'd rather raise prices than use cheaper ingredients, and it shows. Start with the complimentary garlic rolls and a bowl of Italian Wedding Soup (with acini di pepe and homemade meatballs). The pizza is classic NY style: thin, crisp, with a tangy-sweet sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The "Thick & Thin Special" sampler--veal parm, eggplant parm, a meatball, and ravioli--showcases their Italian-American roots. Don't skip dessert: the house-made cannoli and tiramisu are both standouts. If you want honest, nostalgic pizza and red sauce classics made by people who care, this is the place.

They offered pizza by the slice at the register and have a cozy atmosphere with comfortable booths

Thick & Thin Pizza has that classic, old-school charm you can't fake -- the kind of neighborhood spot that's been doing it right for years. The crust hits the perfect balance: crispy on the outside, soft and chewy inside. You can tell they use quality ingredients -- the sauce is flavorful without being too sweet, and the cheese melts just right. The service is always friendly and relaxed, and even when they're busy, you never feel rushed. Whether you grab a slice or order a full pie, it's consistent every time. If you're craving a no-frills, genuinely great pizza in Deerfield Beach, this is the spot. Definitely my go-to for a casual night out or easy takeout.

(Rhyme somewhat intentional). Brusco's is located in a small strip plaza on Federal Highway. There's plenty of parking, and the restaurant is unassuming from the outside. When we entered, our waitress, Sue, greeted us kindly and let us choose our table. Brusco's has a sizable menu with an excellent price point. I believe most of the entrées come with your choice of salad or soup. Be sure to check out the specials menu hanging by the door as there were lots of excellent offerings. In fact, I went with one of the specials, Lemon ricotta pappardelle pasta. The pasta is made in house, and you can tell it is fresh upon the first bite. The sauce was light, and the dish was presented beautifully. My husband went with the eggplant Parmesan, and he ordered a reasonably-priced side of sausage. (A diner sitting next to us, told us that the owner and chef makes his own sausages on site..) His eggplant came with a choice of pasta. He was very pleased with his dish. The portions were quite generous, and we were able to take leftovers home for lunch the next day. Sue was very attentive and made our meal quite enjoyable. We will be happily adding Brusco's to our restaurant rotation when in the mood for Italian food.

I loved a simple dish done well. The Mediterranean combo was a special of the night and it came with prawns, branzino, fried anchovies, and a salad. The combo was also just as goods. The seasoning was yet again, simple but delicious. The prawns were succulent, fish was high quality, and the fried anchovies surprised me. I loved all the proteins. I also tried the squid ink pasta and the seafood linguini. Both were good but the squid ink pasta was unique. I can't put my finger on the flavor but I liked it. This is really two restaurants in one, separated by a walkway. The Amante side is more upscale with an elegant yet cozy dining room and sidewalk tables with a menu of Southern Italian dishes of chicken, veal and seafood dinners, and pasta while Bob's side is more casual with sandwiches, salads and pizza. Delivery and takeout customers can order from both sides. The Amante in the restaurant's name is the Amante family. Nunzio Amante was born on July 19, 1932 in Sicily, Italy. In 1964 he visited the US on vacation. Despite not knowing English he decided to move to the U.S. with his wife and three children. At first he worked jobs in construction, cleaning, and landscaping. After raising enough money he and his wife purchased a diner on A1A in Deerfield Beach launching their foray into the restaurant business. Papa Nunzio passed away in 2014 but the restaurant is still run by family, Robert & Christina Amante. There is pay parking behind the restaurant and a parking garage a few blocks away. Amante's is a long time favorite of my girlfriend and we came here on a Saturday night to celebrate her birthday. We sat at one of the sidewalk tables where we could enjoy the live music and ocean breeze. I had the chicken parmesan and my friend had the eggplant. The chicken cutlet was thin and crispy and the portions were large. They give complimentary bread but we had to request ours. With a class of house wine it was a great dinner. The restaurant is eventually going to be moved across the street next to the Whale's Rib. If you're craving authentic Italian cuisine near the beach in Deerfield, Amante Italian Restaurant is a great destination for a quick lunch or a leisurely dinner.

The brown haired waitress with a slicked-back bun took our order. We ordered a mixed drink, a domestic beer, non-sparkling water, and the $10 mozzarella sticks. We also planned to order pasta and a pizza. Our waitress told us she would wait to put in the pizza order until the mozzarella sticks arrived, explaining that otherwise the pizza might come out before the pasta. Our drinks were delivered and shortly after a young man brought the mozzarella sticks. While we were actively eating them, the waitress never returned to check on us or take the pizza order. My spouse finished his drink about eight minutes before happy hour ended, but the waitress didn't come back until 6:02 PM. He had been jokingly watching the time in hopes of ordering one more drink before happy hour ended. He asked, somewhat playfully but genuinely hoping, if he would still receive the happy hour price since he had been waiting for her to return, but she never acknowledged the question. My spouse still proceeded to order a second mixed drink and we also placed the order for his pizza. I chose not to order another beer and stuck with the tap water. When she brought his drink after 6:05 PM, my pasta dish was already sitting in front of me and she made no acknowledgement that it had been served before we had even placed the pizza order or that our meals would now clearly be arriving at very different times. I ended up eating my pasta dish while my spouse waited for his pizza, which didn't arrive until about 15 minutes after I had finished. At no point did the waitress acknowledge or apologize for the fact that our meals were served so far apart, leaving us to eat separately. She actually came to see if I wanted Parmesan cheese after I had already finished my meal. We also noticed that every table around us had bread with oil and vinegar. This was never offered to us. When we asked about it, we were told customers need to ask for bread. It's unclear how guests are supposed to know to ask when it isn't mentioned, especially when other tables appeared to receive it. Finally, when the bill was presented on a handheld device showing a total of about $97, we requested an itemized receipt. We were told we could only see the itemized bill after payment was processed, which felt unusual and uncomfortable. After leaving the restaurant, we did some basic calculations based on the menu prices. My pasta dish was $25, my husband's pizza was $25, and the mozzarella sticks were $10, totaling $60 for food. At a minimum, the three drinks -- one Bud Light and two Captain and Cokes -- averaged out to about $13.60 during happy hour pricing. Without the ability to review an itemized receipt beforehand, it left us questioning how the total reached nearly $100, and we are still unclear what charges made up the difference. Overall, the experience felt disorganized and inattentive. While the food itself was decent, the service issues -- delayed ordering, meals arriving separately, lack of basic communication, and the billing process -- made what should have been an enjoyable dinner a frustrating experience. At nearly $100 for two people, we expected a far more attentive and transparent dining experience. Unfortunately, the lack of communication and basic service standards left us feeling overlooked and disappointed. We hope management reviews this experience and uses it as an opportunity to improve service for future guests. We would greatly appreciate a response from management to clarify the billing and address these service issues.
