A couple of years ago, I purchased two A/C units from Scaran. It took several visits to complete…read morethe job due to issues like wrong filters and a noisy compressor. Every time I changed the filters, they would get caught on something, so I finally decided to take a closer look. Besides the screws sticking out where the filter sits, I found a huge gap between the unit and the duct. Essentially, the system has been cooling the attic as well. I called Scaran, and they told me the installation is out of warranty. This is the last time I'll be dealing with this company.

I have been dealing with Royal Mechanical for 5 uears now and have been extremely satisfied with…read moretheir service. It all started one very hot Saturday at the height of summer my ac went out and couldnt find a contractor to come and help us out. I was given Anthonys name and number by my son so i gave it a try and to my suprise he answered my call and arrived at my house within hours. He got us up and running within a couple of hours and diverted a very uncomfortable situation. Since i have retained his company to do a complete new HVAC system to my home and the one concern i had was hiring his outfit and having them not standing by their work if anything were to happen to the new unit and my concerns were soon put to rest. Anthony was even more attentive to my needs when i needed them. So it is my pleasure to recommend Royal Mechanical to anyone who has the need for HVAC services i am sure you will be a satisfied customer.

I hired HVAC Hunters for a refrigerant recharge. The technician told me, based on his professional…read moreexperience, that this recharge would get my system through the summer. I took him at his professional word and approved the work on that basis. It did not last 12 hours. The system stopped working the same day. Only afterward did I read the fine print on the invoice, which says the opposite of what I was told in person: that a recharge carries no guarantee of operation for any period of time and that the refrigerant may keep leaking. So I was sold a "summer" fix verbally, handed a disclaimer in writing, and left with a system that quit before the next morning. To make it worse, no one had the courtesy to call me and let me know the outcome of the conversation with their technician. Having managed large operations for years, I know there's a right way and a wrong way to do business: set honest expectations, stand behind what your technician promises, and communicate directly. None of that happened here. My advice, get every promise in writing before you approve any work, or better yet, call someone else.

Today is the second time I have used this business. The earlier review below was for my AC system…read more This morning my heating system needed service.Literally everything I wrote in the earlier review below is also true for today. What I forgot to mention last time, but it was true then and it is now, is honesty. Ronnie explained the problems clearly, and I am reasonably technical and handy, so I know they were accurate. He explained what the cost would be depending on which problem it turned out to be. After testing and completing the first repair, everything was working properly. This saved me $350 + tax over the cost of what would have been step 2. My experience with the home repair industry in general is that many businesses will opt for the highest possible repair cost option as a first step. Unrelated to this business and its service, the worst case in my recent experience was a quote for $4,500 for a plumbing job that I ultimately had done for $450. Sorry I can't refer to that business by name because of possible retaliation or charges of defamation, etc. I only review positive service. Negative service reviews have to remain word-of-mouth, so you won't see any from me online. Earlier review for repair of my AC system: Professional, courteous, friendly and efficient. Ronnie returned my call within 15 minutes and arrived within 2 hours as expected. The work was done quickly and effectively. Ronnie also went above and beyond what was expected to verify that everything was working properly.

After dealing with issues with my…read moreCooper & Hunter wall-mounted mini-split system, I was incredibly relieved to finally have everything working properly again. If you've ever been without reliable A/C, especially during the summer, you know what a huge difference it makes to have someone who truly knows what they're doing. From the moment they arrived, the team was professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and genuinely kind. They took the time to carefully diagnose the issue, explained everything in a way that was easy to understand, and never made me feel rushed or pressured. It was obvious that they take pride in their work and genuinely care about their customers. What impressed me most was their attention to detail and commitment to getting the job done right. They didn't just provide a quick fix--they made sure my system was operating the way it should, which gave me tremendous peace of mind. Walking into a cool, comfortable apartment again was an incredible feeling, and I couldn't be more grateful. Finding an HVAC company that is honest, dependable, and truly customer-focused can be challenging, but Black Ops Mechanical exceeded my expectations in every way. If you're looking for a company that combines exceptional technical expertise with outstanding customer service, I wholeheartedly recommend them. They have absolutely earned my trust, and they will be my first call for any future HVAC needs.
