Vibe: Smells like heaven the second you walk in. Warm, sweet…read morebakery aroma. Staff were nice, friendly, and accommodating. Good energy. Food: Tried the chocolate chip cookie, sugar cookie, and sweet potato cake. Cookies were FRESH. Soft, flavorful, exactly what you want. The sweet potato cake was moist and had great flavor overall, but part of it was burnt. I even asked for a specific piece to avoid that. Ended up eating most of it, but the burnt section was too much. Honestly, that whole cake probably should've been scrapped. Service/Timing: Friendly and helpful. No complaints there. Value: Good. $10(8 cookies and what I'd consider 1/4 slice of cake.Quality was mostly there, but the burnt cake keeps it from being top tier. Highlight Fresh Wrap-Up: Strong start overall. The cookies alone make it worth stopping by. Just tighten up quality control on the cakes and it's easily a 5-star experience.

I've been waiting on them to open for a few months now and just so happen to be driving by and they were open so I stopped. Now I wish I would have taken some pictures of the stores and what I got. But I will definitely take pictures as this will not be the only time I give them a try. I went kind of late so most of the items were not available. So I decided to try a cookie and cream cheese cake and a slice of sweet potato cake. I couldn't even wait to get him to try the cheesecake. It was so creamy and delicious! Lord I wish I would have bought (2) pieces! Sweet potato cake was moist and sweet just like a sweet potato pie would be. I can't wait to go back and try the banana pudding, strawberry cake, cupcakes, and more cheese cakes. Inside is really cute a lot of baby blue is the ambiance inside so very bright and inviting. Go check them out y'all!

They seem to be as much a toy shop as they are a sweets shop. But don't let that distract you when you want a creamy sweet special treat! The strawberry was full of flavor and just enough toppings to make it worth it and bring a lot of texture. Don't expect fast or cheap and be ready to make a lot of choices!

It didn't look like I could get it without ice cream, and I wasn't trying to have all of that sugar... but then a sign for a coin cheese waffle. It wasn't on the menu, so it took me a while to notice, but I had to give it a try. It took about 15 minutes, so while waiting I looked around... they had a claw machine which was kinda cool, and the spot overall is quite cute haha. When the waffle was finally ready, they gave it to me in food wrap, and it was HOT. There were no napkins provided, so I had to ask for some. I ate it on the go and it was super delicious. Great amount of cheese and the waffle itself was satisfying and fluffy. I've never had one before and I've never seen it anywhere... though the sign itself said it's popular on TikTok. That true? I deleted the app now, so it's too late XD.

About a 3.5: I found the Kona Ice truck at Tanger Outlets by the National Harbor. This was one of…read morethe handful of food trucks that were there on the other end of the parking lot (next to H&M). They have several locations (Fredericksburg, Annapolis, St. Mary's, Calvert County, etc.), and they offer shaved ice with different syrup flavorings: Tiger's Blood, Blue Raspberry, Wedding Cake, French Vanilla, Kona Cola, Green Apple, Strawberry, Wild Watermelon, Blue Coconut, Mango, Grape, Cherry, Lemon-Lime, Tropi-Kona, Root Beer, Bubble Gum, Cotton Candy, Orange Creamsicle, Pina Colada, Banana, Pineapple, etc. They have about 4 different cup sizes, and they give you a cup of shaved ice, all nicely shaven, and there's a little syrup 'depot' where you can pour as much syrup to your heart's content! I really liked this concept as sometimes, when you leave it to the vendor to put the flavor syrup in, they don't put too much and you usually only get the tip of the surface to be flavored, but when you get to the bottom, it's just plain ice. I liked how you can control how much you want to flavor it! The guy was very friendly and said that kids love this as well, as they just go out of town by going straight down the syrup depot, pouring each and every single color (no limit!). There's also a 'Sour Shot' that you can make your shaven ice sour, on any of the flavors (free at this location; others is 50c). A nice cool treat if you're in the area! +pump to your heart's desire (flavor syrups, that is)!

I've been to Savannah's a couple of times before, and they never disappoint. We were in National Harbor on vacation, and of course--with kids in tow--we had to stop in and let them explore all the gooey goodness. Funny enough, they made a beeline straight for the ice cream instead of the candy... probably because we had already been it It's Sugar earlier that day! They tried a mix of flavors--birthday cake, wildberry sorbet, cookies & cream, butter pecan--and I went with mint chocolate chip. Every single one was delicious! The ice cream was creamy, flavorful, and definitely hit the spot. And let me just say--I appreciated the pricing. For the area, it was very reasonable. Not over-the-top expensive like Ben & Jerry's, so that was a win! Now for my part... I couldn't leave without trying a few treats. I grabbed a couple of truffles--raspberry milk chocolate, white chocolate, and a few others--and they were all rich, smooth, and delicious. But BABY... that giant turtle candy?! Whew! It was EVERYTHING. Crispy, fresh pecans, buttery caramel, and perfectly blended milk chocolate--hands down the perfect after-dinner treat. And don't sleep on the caramel popcorn with pecans--sweet, crunchy, and downright addictive! The service was excellent! The young ladies working the counters were patient, helpful, and friendly, which made the whole experience even better! Overall, if you're in the National Harbor area--or anywhere you spot a Savannah's Candy Kitchen--do yourself a favor and stop in. You are absolutely in for a treat!

Zero STARS... This…read moreplace is a complete scam. I ordered a birthday cake and even paid extra for faster shipping, and it still showed up three days late. By the time it arrived, the celebration was already over, so that was a waste. The cake itself was honestly embarrassing. It came damaged and smeared. On top of that, the packaging didn't look sanitary. It was wrapped in cheap cellophane like it came out of someone's basement kitchen, not a professional bakery. I reached out about a refund and got nothing. No response, no follow-up, nothing. Apparently once they have your money, customer service disappears. At this point, I guess I'll just go ahead and dispute it with my bank since that seems like the only way I'll ever see my money again. Funny how that works. :) If you're thinking about ordering from here, JUST DON'T. It's not worth the money, the time, or the disappointment.

Iverson Cookies/The Great Cookie has been a DC area staple for decades. It's been a while since…read moreI've been here, but it felt like a review is long overdue. So I took it upon myself to stop by & get some cookies for myself and my parents before I departed for IL a few weeks ago. The ever so popular cookie flavor there is the prized Snickerdoodle cookies. So, of course, I took it upon myself to order a few. I ordered about 8 cookies for $5 or $10 (apparently, they do not allow ordering by the half dozen nor dozen, but by the eights. Such as 8, 16, etc ). I was a bit judgy & hesitant because the cookies were almost razor thin, and I was used to thicker, regular sized cookies. But as soon as I took a bite, I was shook haha they were so moist, soft, and delightful. Crunchy exterior but the right amount of crunch that it doesn't take away from the softness/moisture. The right amount of sugar and cinnamon. I think what makes this different from other Snickerdoodle cookies is perhaps the thinness and (I THINK, I could be wrong) the possible shortening base. They were so good, I decided not to be selfish and go back in to order my parents some to try I will say since it's been a while since I've been to Iverson Cookies, I got a bit lost because I could not find an entrance point (I'll be honest: I forgot haha ). The entrance point is between Mama Lucia and Chipotle. If you have bad eye vision like me, you'll have to walk up closer to notice. On Yelp and the physical establishment, it's listed as "The Great Cookie." On Google Maps, it's listed as Iverson Cookies. There's plenty of parking. The best way to get there is to drive or Uber. I am unsure if one can Metro there.
