Overpriced for what you get. I don't recommend coming to Panda Tea House, even if it is the only boba shop in National Harbor. I got one of their most popular drinks, the Ube Milk Tea with boba, and it was genuinely pretty bad. 1. I was appalled to find out that the drink costs $10. I understand that rent around the area is probably high, but I used to live in San Francisco (which has even higher rent) and no boba shop has ever charged that much for a drink. 2. The drink itself was way too sweet and very grainy, similar to a protein shake. This is because they use flavored powder instead of real ingredients, which shows in the quality of the drink. 3. The boba was hard and stale (definitely not fresh). One good thing I will say about the place is that the interior of the shop is nice and well-decorated. They have a nice wall filled with merchandise and display cases with anime figures/products for sale, which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, if the rest of the drinks are as bad as the one I had, I can't recommend coming to Panda Tea House even if you have a craving for boba. Overprice and low-quality, their drinks will leave you feeling more unsatisfied than if you didn't get anything at all. read more

I had never been to the waterfront area and as I was trying to find a parking space I saw this bubble tea place. There was no one in the store and it seemed like they still had a few parts of the store blocked off due to covid. There was a decent selection of items including bubble teas, slushies, and ice cream rolls along with various inserts like boba, mixed jellies, and other powders. I opted for a green apple slush with boba. Each add-on was a dollar. I've never been to a bubble tea place where they charge $1 for each add-on. The green apple slush was $7.99 and then one scoop of boba plus tax and I'm already up close to $10 for a drink. Yikes! Plus it's literally just ice and green apple flavoring. Nothing special. I'm sure someone is probably saying "if you don't like the prices, then don't go there!" I guess I'll take your advice because I won't be back. At least I can say I've been. Cool and refreshing passionfruit slush with lychee bubbles really hit the spot on a hot August evening. I'm glad to see that places are giving you the option of controlling the amount of sugar that is added to your drink. I tried my drink at 25% and it was very good without the 100% added amount of sugar. You can go as low as zero. Store had a lot of cute things like the panda mugs. I'd like one for my birthday if you're wondering! It was a very hot day and it didn't feel like the air conditioning was on full blast. My daughter love this place every time we visit national harbor but this time was different , we order a milkshake and the cashier (old women ) was very rude , we order something and I think she don't understand or didn't hear well and when the order was ready I told her this is not what I order and she start screaming and I ask can I see the receipt and she continue arguing and I was very polite and calm and she continue screaming then I realize that when I confirm the order I didn't see that it said milk tea , but my point is I'm the customer you don't need to scream like that when I'm just asking for the receipt , Also they don't call it milkshake they call it smoothie that's why she put milk tea . This is probably the only boba place in the National harbor, hard to miss. Nice ambiance and pretty extensive menu for different milk tea and fruity smoothies. I got the mango peach smoothie which comes with a little milk in it, really enjoyed it and recommend. Amazing customer service, very friendly and patient as we tried to confirm there were dairy free options. My daughter was so happy to discover that they use dairy free powered milk so she was able to order almost any of the milk teas. Our drinks were wonderful and we will be back. read more

I've been to Panda Tea house a few times because my friend lives in national Harbor and whenever I go visit her I can't resist stopping and getting some Boba. I've never had any of their other desserts but I can say that their bubble tea is delicious. My go to is honeydew with fruit jelly and my friend always gets Thai tea with their house Boba and both always hit the spot. The interior also features a number of fun Asian snacks and goodies on their wall along with some tea and powders you can purchase and take home. It's really more of a take-and-go place, as there's not a lot of seating inside, but it's really nice to grab a drink and then wander along the harbor. read more

Unfortunately I can not base this experience off their actual food or service but I'm basing this off management. I traveled to the National harbor for kids day recently on a random Thursday. 1/3 of my visit to the Harbor was to treat my daughter to Panda Tea House but they weren't even open, despite the sign suggesting they should've been. I checked their Instagram page and website and neither mentioned them being closed on that day. Better communication about their hours would've been great. read more

This might be the worst bubble tea experience of my life. And there have been many bubble tea experiences, some of them not very good. Let's go through the lowlights: * Customer service is rude. It seemed like the person working there wished that we weren't there. Terrible service. * The menu has nothing other than what looks like low end powered drinks. No regular green or oolong bubble tea, etc. * The prices are ridiculous. Roughly 50 percent above what a good bubble tea should be and 100 percent more than what one would expect to pay for the garbage quality they serve. * Yes, bad quality drinks. The thai tea was unappealing. We barely finished half of it. * They charged $1.50 for a cup to split the drink. Lame. This place is terrible. read more

This place is so expensive for the quality. My drink was pretty good but a bit grainy and I love Ube boba tea. It's around $8 for a tea with boba and you can find better for less. I didn't know I could change levels of ice or sweetness so it was a tad sweet but still good. They were a bit slow too and then we heard the person at the register explain that they don't have the ingredients for the ice cream (customers inquired about an egg allergy.) This may have been the star of my experience during my resort I love their pineapple winter melon bubble tea. It's the bomb and they have great customer service, they have the coolest guy that works there. I got a Thai tea with white bubbles from there, and it was good. They have other items to choose from, such as milk teas, fruit teas, smoothies, ice cream and egg waffles. During Covid, you can only carry your items out. The service was just polite and quiet. Just a suggestion for management, a little service with a smile would be nice.
