The atmosphere is great! It's right on the main road. Plenty of seating. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive. I had the fish and chips. They were very good. Three in our party had the burgers - all said they were good pub burgers. The prices were reasonable too. The women's bathroom was clean. I enjoyed the decorations, they had older mirrors with interesting frames hung up. We aren't from the area, but I would definitely eat here again if the opportunity presented itself. read more

I would like to give this place 5 stars, but I can't. My husband and I drove an hour to try it because we were told they have the best gumbo. It was absolutely DELICIOUS! My husband had the steak bites and I had a crispy chicken salad, along with our gumbo. The place was lovely. HOWEVER, there was a group of 6 adults and 6 kids seated near us that were the loudest human beings I have ever encountered. The kids were actually fine, the adults were all YELLING over one another to tell whatever "funny" story. It was honestly so loud that my husband and I were unable to have a conversation. The waitress apologized for them, but I honestly couldn't get out of there fast enough. The food was so good, though, that I think I'll try it again sometime, hopefully without the eardrum-bursting volume level brought by the most annoying humans on earth. Great gumbo, 10/10. read more

Service was good even though they said they were short handed! Great room with tables and a bar area. Good mix of rustic and Detroit stuff. We had jumbo, burger, pickle chips and a nice salad. We have gone twice and enjoyed our food and visit each time!! The first time, I got the chicken pot pie. It came with two sides and I opted for apple sauce and fries. Very delicious!! The second time, I got the chicken salad melt. It was a little too saucy, but still had good flavor! My boyfriend got the Cuban sandwich each time and says it's the only one that kind of compares to one he had in Miami! The service has been good each time. Very solid lunch stop if you're in the area- This was the healthiest place we could find and enjoyed the apple-berry salad ($12) and the cauliflower app. (They're making Kung pao cauliflower but baking instead of frying- certainly a healthier choice and made me feel better about choosing it) The salad is loaded with walnuts, cranberries and feta/goat cheese and big enough for two if you're ordering something else also. Food was served cold. Food runner didn't drop off everything I ordered then ran off. It was too loud she couldn't hear me as she ran away. Then had to wait nearly 6 minutes for my server to be in sight where it then had to stand up to get her attention. She then charged me for half of the meal I sent back for being cold. After I then waited another 5 minutes for the rest of my order to come out. By that point everything was cold. The food was awful the servers were even worse. Usually love this place but we just left before we could even place an order let alone our drinks. It's a Saturday evening and we arrived at 4:10. We were told a 25 minute wait which we were totally fine with. They have gluten free options so to me (gluten intolerant person) that's worth it. We wait about 30 minutes and checked in.. They said give us 5 more minutes which we did. We sit down and wait 15 minutes and no waitress. We chat with the table behind us and they've been waiting 45 minutes and haven't received their side salads yet?! We have two hungry kids and there's no way we can wait that long nor should anyone wait that long. That table went and grabbed the manager and we over hear her say their kitchen is just behind, he asked in making a side salad? And then pointed out we've been waiting 15 just for a waitress. She then proceeded to say well we are short staffed too. I understand it's a busy Saturday, but we've been there before on a busy night and it's never been like that. Very busy Wednesday night here. Waited about 10 minutes for a 2-top that was open the entire time we were waiting (at least wait time was better than quoted 20 minutes). Service was slow and not friendly. She was irritated at my husband for not knowing their draft beer list wasn't up to date. She sat down at a table next to us to roll silverware and then again at another table with a guest in the corner. Food was average at best, but it was a good price for sure. So we don't go to Romeo often but we found ourselves there today. We did a web search and found Thee Office. Nice place, great menu I would like to explore better, moderately and fairly priced. I don't often mention pricing because what I call affordable may not be what others do and what I call pricey may be affordable to others. My chicken pot pie was $15. I also had the chicken and sausage gumbo-now I am a gumbo guy-perhaps you could even say snob so keep that in mind. I thought it to be too thick and would have benefited from shrimp (which I don't eat due to texture but the flavor would help). The tap was limited but my old stand by Stella was in it. Now let me talk about our server, Kayla. She is moving at twice the speed if anyone else in the place-customer or staff. That young lady was just moving. I told the wife she made the other servers look like they were moving at half the speed of smell. She was also very personable with a great smile and we were both very happy to have landed in her section. Fish seemed like a small portion, but I was full with the sides, so it was a good size portion I suppose The macaroni & cheese wasn't bad, but not something I would order again. Visited on Friday night while on a trip to see Tilson Street. There was a 45-60 min wait (which turned out to be 30!) so we walked to see the Halloween displays until we got our text to say our table was ready. Great selection of beers on tap and cans/bottles. Got the shrimp app to start, it was fantastic. Biggest shrimp appetiser I've gotten. Ordered the 'tilson tim,' and 'is it Brie your looking for?' sandwiches. Both were tasty and plentiful. The burger was cooked medium to perfection. Fries were good also. While we didn't get one, the pizzas looked great too, and we will definitely come back to try some other dishes. Staff were super friendly and very attentive, especially Tina, our waitress who was there every time we needed something.
