The store is stocked with all the classics. All you need is a credit card and photo ID. The owner is welcoming and very helpful. We couldn't find the movie we were looking for , but he found it right away for us . This store brought back great memories of when watching a movie was actually a special event. It took some commitment in time and effort to go pick up a movie. The experience of walking around the store to look at the titles, read the back covers, talk to store employees and even other customers about movies they liked. 30 years from now we'll be watching videos of how we used to actually go to grocery stores to buy food and reminiscing of the good old days, you wait and see. There's classic porn from the 70s, 80s and 90s. There are Criterion discs. There are John Huston movies, Godard movies, Wim Wenders and David Lynch. Dario Argento horror movies. Sci-fi. Pre Sci-fi. Post Sci-fi. Brazilian. African. Silent films... I could go on and on. If you are looking for an obscure out of print classic film that's not on streaming, there's an 80% chance that you can find it here to rent. There is street parking nearby. The problem? He said he's descended from Spanish and Italian, so his last name is Tigere, means Tiger. It was very interesting and time flies talking to him. The rocks in the store prices 30,40,50+ bucks but there's no pressure from buying. The store covers old comics to rocks of all forms to small cultural artifacts of all kinds. It's worth spending time there but I felt like without Mr Tiger telling you the stories and explanations, it's a lot less interesting. He said he's there into the nights, so the ideal time to visit is probably late afternoon into the evening.

I had brought a blouse up to the counter that I noticed was priced as a 2 piece set , but there was no second piece attached to the hanger. I asked the woman at the counter if they knew where it was as I would've gladly preferred the set. She went over to ask the owner and when she came back she said they couldn't sell it until they located the second piece as it was a set. (It was priced as $88) which would've been too high to purchase as a single item anyway. Then she said something that we found completely appalling "unless we don't find the missing piece , you can purchase the top alone for $100) excuse me?? How does that make sense-- it's missing the pantsuit so you want to overcharge me? When we asked how they thought that was fair , she responded with "well it's a really RARE item" and we said it WAS RARE now how do you manage to mark up the price when it's missing the set ?? We both LAUGHED and She said "I'm sorry you feel that way" the audacity of them having a sign outside their shop that reads about supporting community when they demonstrate bad business practices such as this. We thought about putting all of our items back because we thought that was ludicrous on their part. But , we did spend so much time there .. in the end my friend put back a couple items she had planned on purchasing because she was so shocked that they thought that would fly with us ... Just calling something "RARE" does not excuse marking something up on the spot especially after the fact it's actually worth less now that we know it's actually missing a piece. Smh. Because of this we both won't be returning. There are plenty of beautifully curated vintage shops elsewhere who don't have bad business practice. Let me suggest a few other places for you to check out : Jet Rag, space city Vintage, American Vintage, Starday, Avalon Vintage, Sneaky Tiki just to name a few! :)
