The Yes Store has a surprisingly long history in Santa Barbara, operating as a holiday pop up store and appearing somewhere on State street for a limited time only. The Yes Store has developed such a significant following amongst locals that the owners have found a longer term lease and is now operating for a full year on State Street. Featuring art and handmade products by local Santa Barbara/Ventura artists, there are many things to appreciate. I personally enjoy ceramics and there are several areas featuring different artists. The prices vary depending on the artist. One of the sellers had a bowl for $12 versus another that had one for $25. There are necklaces, surf board cutting boards, wood cutting boards, wooden art, a small selection of handmade cards, gemstones with art embedded into them, jewelry, and other miscellaneous goods. It is a lovely shop with friendly proprietors.

I love the Yes Store so much! It is only open during the holidays and it features local artists' pottery, artwork, photography and more. The homemade Christmas ornaments are so nice and the pottery is well priced and lovely. The only downside is that it is not open every day of the year!

My prized collection so far, can't wait to continue growing it, one breathtaking masterpiece at a time!

I adore this store!! Be still my heart! It is bright and beautifully organized with all of the pristine feel of a museum, and yet drenched in sunshine, warmth, and the lovely energy of the girls working the shop! I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Erin, one of the owners of the shop, who bubbles over with appreciation and admiration for the beautiful things that she carries! There is quite a selection of glass, jewelry, art, and other unique finds! Everything is exquisitely presented and very fairly priced for the value! I did a quick lap around the store but I kind of came in with a singular purpose. There is an artist I absolutely adore, the incomparable genius Elaine Hyde, who makes pieces that make my heart soar! I had found out that the Yes Store carries some of her magical glass pieces! The girls picked up on my excitement and jumped in to share in my joy! They showed me around and explained even more about the artist than I had already researched on my own! I was thrilled about their knowledge and I also became attached to a certain class vase by the artist I had come in looking for! I clutched it (gently) to my heart and took it right up to the front to check out. I held it in my embrace that way all the way home where it found its perfect spot in my growing collection. The experience of purchasing this piece was made so special and memorable by Erin, and she even put me on a list to keep me informed of fun, upcoming events! I feel like we are already fast friends! She has a very obvious love for what she does, and just the personality you would love to encounter when making a purchase like this! I told her as I was leaving that I intended to take all that good energy home with my vase! I love this little shop, it's definitely a special little spot where you get to look at beautiful things, and if you're lucky, even bring one home with you! Don't miss it if you are in Santa Barbara. And if you aren't out there, I suggest you plan your next trip as soon as possible, with this darling store being your first stop! I can't wait to return!

I also knew a lot of people had bad experiences there. Last visit I went by on bike. I couldn't find a bike rack anywhere near the store. I asked the owner if I could bring it inside. She immediately shouted no and launched into a speech about all her stuff in her store. She told me I could leave my bike propped against a tree out front. This is terrible advice. Anyone in Santa Barbara knows you leave a bike- ANY bike, much less an expensive bike leaning aguante something, that bike is no longer yours. Totally fine if she doesn't want the bike in her spacious store. She could suggest the closest bike RACK so the bike could be locked. Lots of people bike in SB so I'm sure I wasn't the only one needing a little direction to park and shop. Her rude attitude and irresponsible advice- plus ridiculous prices, no thanks!! Will never come back here. Tons of super rad boho stores like Dylan Star and Sirena with nice staff to spend at instead.

The jewelry is beautiful (I've gotten my wife some incredible pieces), great hat selection,, and tons of gift options for friends. Both Erica and Oakley are super helpful and offer honest suggestions on styles and what looks good. Seriously one of my favorite stores in SB! Feels good to shop local!

I knew Brandy Melville for having good basics and was in search of a black bralette / bandeau, which I did not find exactly what I was looking for, however, I did find a few cute basic tanks and a pair of shorts with Santa Barbara screen printed on. Since I didn't need to try anything on -- most items should be O/S, I will comment that there was a long line for the fitting rooms. There was also WAY TOO MANY people who did not really need to be inside (like guys just standing around with their girl friends, etc. taking up space for other shoppers - just my opinion though). You can do a few short laps around different sections of the store, viewing tables and walls of which you were not able to see when you were standing around those spaces to begin with. The cash register had what looked to be 2-3 girls taking anyone who made eye contact for checkout. I wouldn't say they were the most engaging nor friendly, but I wasn't there to have a good experience, I just wanted to grab my things and go - therefore, checkout was quick, unpersonable, and I suppose, expected due to the type of customer or experience they might usually have? Not sure -- like I said, it's been a minute since I've been to a location and usually in Walnut Creek or Los Angeles. Prices are still okay though which is why we go.
