I can't believe we've never been inside or even notice this place. Once you walk in, it's like a kid in a candy store if you are into antiques. Not only as the main floor with little pockets of rooms all designed and showcasing amazing pieces. But loads of clothes as well. Upstairs has more of the apparel with little rooms of hidden gems. I think it's mainly antiques/thrifting with some newer pieces all thrown in together. Some items were amazing but a bit pricey. But if you're a vintage furniture enthusiast, this place maybe the right spot for you. The stuff they have as well as the accessories were all beautiful. A designer Mecca.

Located steps away from State Street and next door to Grassini Winery. You can expect to find gorgeous handmade ceramics, plants, art, decor, dried flowers and more! I ended up purchasing some incense, a beautiful ceramic vase, and a small box of matches with Frida on it. The incense was burning in the store, and the smell was so pleasant. It's charcoal based incense sticks and made with phthalate-free fine fragrance oil. Sourced from Los Angeles. The scent is Piñon and my new favorite. Jared kindly helped me during my visit. He mentioned that they can customize the dried floral arrangements upon request. They had some beautiful ones already made. I was lucky to have met Kevin, who was working on creating more beautiful pieces of handmade ceramics. I can't wait to see what else he made on my next visit. Overall, I'm so happy to see this small business up and running. Looking forward to coming back soon.

They have so much packed into their corner retail space, and with lots of personality sprinkled everywhere. As we walked by the large windows we were drawn in by this Ceramics and Plant Boutique . . . and with so much more. Thanks to Jared who was very welcoming and helped us navigate the different offerings. Handmade Ceramics (each one a work of art), Art Prints, Woven Baskets, Blankets, Books, Candles of all shapes and sizes, Cards, Garden Supplies, Driftwood pieces, Glassware, and beautiful plants, both Succulents and dried floral arrangements. We found a basket of match books at the register, and realized they are ideal for their offerings of Sage (moving energy out), and Palo Santo (moving energy in). I was instantly drawn to the prints and illustrations by Lady Kady Art of Arizona, and look forward to starting my own collection. And truly a shop with gift ideas for everyone. Was also happy with the reasonable pricing for some incredibly artful items. Located in the El Paseo, and right next to the Grassini Family Vineyards tasting room patio.

When the kids…read morewere little years back, the original seat fabric got all stained and nasty with milk, etc. We went to an undisclosed interior design place and replaced the fabric with marine grade vinyl and thick padding. The result was horrendous. The vinyl was tucked, unprofessionally with big seams/creases at the corners, like a do it yourself job. We didn't care at the time - as long as it held up for the next 10 years, we were good. Come 2020 and that vinyl is getting annoying. Our butts stick to them, the chairs noticeably look bad relative to the rest of our furnishing, and most importantly, the kids aren't leaving have half their food on the seats. Santa Barbara Design Center has been here for a while and I stopped in randomly on the way to Home Improvement. I was introduced to Michael, a knowledgeable and personable chap. I showed him an online picture of the original chair, and that I wanted to restore the seat to its original, sleek, sculptural and refined splendor. He said no problem, provided a couple of premium quality fabric books, and we were on our way. We picked out the fabric and brought the chairs in. Michael commented "my god, who did this work?" 50% down and ten days later, chairs were done, with a message "come down and make sure you are happy." My wife and I looked, were pleased - Michael responded with "here's something that bothers me, I want you to see..." He flipped the chair over and on the bottom, the seat fabric was stapled just outside of the underside frame. You wouldn't see it normally, but from a distance or looking down from the side, you might. Immediately we thought the same thing, yeah, that's not ideal. He said it shouldn't be done like this, let me redo it for you, no charge. His upholsterer redid it, and boy those 8 chairs look great, almost better than the original! The seats came out sleek and wonderfully curved over the underlying pad. The fabric is comfortable, soft and elegant - couldn't be happier. The interior of SBDC fills a warehouse space and contains just about everything; furniture, rugs, lamps, etc. The staff were COVID compliant, and Michael was a dream to work with. He has an excellent eye for detail, is easy to work with, and is an honest broker; I wish we had more projects for him!

Definitely greeted kindly however when it comes to getting answers about products and getting called back when they get items back like the gloves - I receive no call. I stopped in multiple times and would check in and just remind them to call me. Of course, another time I stop in they have them but nobody called. Same thing nobody called me back about some questions I had on fabric and some products. So sadly, I've dropped them down from 5 to 3 stars because if you can't get information, especially when you're willing to pay a pretty penny, then that send a message that they don't stand behind their product or they don't really believe in their customer service. I have waited six months and had similar experiences so this isn't a one off. I'll try again down the line and hope things will have improved. I've tried to ask for the owner but she's not there. I wanted to give the feedback directly but seems like I'm out of block as well. I hope this helps. I look forward to updating this review in time.

It looked a bit like a sad face on the plate. I also expected a variety of fruit on top, but there was only one type of fruit. The biggest issue, though, was the candied pecans. They tasted rancid, and it wasn't just one bad nut. I had three bites of the pecans before giving up and started picking them out of the dish. That really detracted from the meal. If the pecans had been fresh, I would have enjoyed the dish a lot more.
