Since it was New Year's eve, there were few patrons or maybe this is the usual scene? Don't know. But there are some comfy couches by the front in which a young couple with a baby was nursing. Another couple was just finishing up dinner and started to head out. We were the only two diners for about 20 minutes before another couple came in for dinner. There were also about two or three people at the bar. So basically a very quiet place. No one at the hostess stand, only a woman at the bar. She eventually sat us and took our order. Things were slow but not so slow that I would complain. I would surmise that most of the staff was off that evening. Food was also slow in coming so there might have been a small crew in the kitchen as well. We ordered the mezze appetizer. Nothing to rave about. It was just a plate with vegetables and hummus. We both got the wagyu burger and fries. The whole meal was quite decent. The meat was cooked to the correct temperature and the fries were crispy. It was quite filling for me. Maybe it was NYE but everything was quiet and nice.

I met up with a friend here, with her husband and kids and my husband, and we had a great time. We didn't realize there would be live music, so it was a bit loud at first, but we got used to it. (The trumpet got a bit loud at times, but that's how such instruments can be!) My friend and I both got a cup of the crab chowder, which was tasty, if a bit weird-looking when the oil separated in it. I got a crab cake, and it didn't seem special compared to other crab cakes I've had, perhaps a bit dry too, but it was definitely fresh. I also went rogue and got a watermelon drink that was good enough where multiple would be dangerous! Everyone seemed to like their food, and my husband even tried clam strips and enjoyed them! The food came pretty quickly, so it's a nice choice if you're bringing kids (or hungry adults).

The entire place has been updated and expanded and there is still more work in progress. We arrived around five on a very busy St. Patrick's for dinner. We were meeting very good friends and were excited to spend some time together. The decor was so fun and the place was hopping. Even though all of the staff seemed to be extremely busy, we were allowed to wait for a table that would seat us comfortably while being a bit out of the way of the hubbub. The redone U-shaped bar area is very large with plenty of seating at the bar and around it. There are multiple long, high top tables too. The other side of the restaurant is filled with booths and tables with plenty of room to accommodate any size party. I saw tables that fit at least 10 people there. There is also an outdoor area that is under construction, but looks like it will be a very nice addition to the bar. Now on to the food and the drinks. They had so many specials for St. Patrick's Day and a large variety of them too rather than just the typical corned beef and cabbage or Ruben's. They had lots of other Irish delicacies like shepherds pie, and bangers and mash. They had all kinds of drink specials, including green margaritas, Guinness, and lots of other fancy drinks to choose from. They have plenty of beers on top and basically a full bar where you can get anything to wet your whistle. I had a two guys burger, which was basically a bacon cheeseburger, and it was cooked to perfection (not to mention it was probably close to a half pound of ground beef on that burger) along with some fries and a salad. My friend had a Reuben, which she thought was very good. My husband who loves hot turkey sandwiches ended up getting one of those and a side salad too. It was made with fresh turkey and we all know how that kicks it up a notch. Other friend got the meatloaf, which was good, but there was cheese on top and he wasn't a big fan of that. They have daily specials with lots to choose from. We had the $1 wings and were delighted with the many choices of sauces. There were so many customers coming in constantly for their carry out, too. Everything was fresh. The prices were great. Everything was very tasty and the atmosphere was fun without being too noisy. We can't wait to go back and try it again soon.

Reservations were recommended, but not needed. We were greeted by a friendly host who instructed us to choose wherever we wanted to sit. The venue was decorated very festive, which may be considered "overstimulation" for some folks. There were seasonal menu items available for drinks and apps in addition to a full menu. There was Xmas movies showing on the TVs around the venue and music playing as well. We placed our order: "stocking stuffers" which were deviled eggs topped with jalapeño and candied bacon and they were really good; loaded nachos with shredded chicken, which arrived in a half sheet pan (enough for 2-3 people) with mounds of sour cream, guacamole and a nice salsa, which was very good as well. For the drinks: "snowball old fashioned, which consisted of rye whiskey, gingerbread and it was served in a festive Santa Claus embossed rocks glass with a round ice cube and was absolutely delicious; we also got the "Christmapolitan" a floral cocktail with vodka, elderflower, cranberry juice, and dry vermouth, among other things and that was good as well. If you're looking for a perfect holiday selfie spot, you found it here. This pop up is here until December 28. They also had outside "globe" huts that were transparent plastic available for an additional cost to sit in and enjoy your food and drinks outside. All in all, we really enjoyed this pop up bar and look forward to coming back again next year.
