The X is the best and has done wonders ~ I feel better, have more energy, lost loads of excess weight, and got stronger. Moving here from Tampa, I tried all the Big Box gyms, "boutique" nonsense, supervised recess-style workouts, workouts-of-the-day, fitness piped in via TV, and the personal training scams, etc., but The X is the only method that worked. Disciplined but flexible. Structured but creative. Difficult but enjoyable. Profoundly Different is absolutely right. The Coaches are awesome, personable, friendly, and genuinely concerned about me. Helpful when needed, scarce when required, and always there to spot, suggest a better way, and encourage. It's like having a personal cheerleader, trainer, teacher, and mentor all-in-one. Their commitment to personalized service is exemplary and exceeded all expectations. Wow - worked with Nik, Kyle, Greg and Sandi - was loving crossfit - the owner decided to remove 0830 class with no explanation and then his egotistic self thought he could teach all the classes and the paying customers would embrace is "elite athlete only" attitudes. Since I am not an elite athlete - I did not feel he cares and was willing to work with the rest of us paying customer. If you can get Kyle or Sandi (Greg left) then you will enjoy. Both deserve pay raises for all their hard work! They had large followings and classes where enjoyable Bottom line is the poor decisions by owner is what make XProject a poor facility. Lack of communication and explanation and professionalism is why I left. BTW found other crossfit groups with better prices!! Check them out in Frederick and Hagerstown!! Kati - have been going 2 years and have tried multiple instructors and have voice my issues with management many times - in fact our class voted on at least 2 occasions. read more

I am annoyed at the results I have achieved because of the encouragement and excellent personal attention I receive from the team here. Because of X-Project, I have more energy, feel self-empowered to try new things at a gym, my clothes are starting to fit better and recently I have had to buy a smaller size. The worst part might be the friendliness of not just the staff but also the members, I keep making friends and having good experiences in class. I had never been to a gym where the coach will stop a class and let the other members know you reached a new personal goal just so they can applaud your success. Really, that's the kind of positivity you want to spread, ok see if that catches on. If you want to change and live a healthier life then fine go here but you'll have nothing but a positive experience. Don't say you weren't warned. Ohhhh and this place hosts events for members like happy hours or community events about nutrition to further your positive experiences (pre-pandemic of course, now they're all be safe and wear a mask) to build on what they already teach you and keep the family and friends feeling going beyond just the gym. Seriously, they want us to like each other and have fun, what is that? I do not see how such a positive, women empowering, accommodating to any lifestyle gym is still around. XProject is not for you if you're not ready for a REAL change! The trainers at the XProject are phenomenal! They truly care about your well being. The workouts are switched up on a daily basis. It's NEVER boring! And I'm a person who gets bored easily. I feel and SEE the changes in my body. Micheal and his team challenge, push and encourage you. They make sure that every move you make is absolutely correct. The XProject community as a whole is awesome. Other class members are just as encouraging as the trainers. Go and try a class or two...you will see a world of difference between the XProject and other places. read more

The X Project, offered a six week course. I did join and started this i have gone to places like this before and they are great, unfortunately while in their website and emails i got at the beginning they seemed very serious. I made an appointment in order to meet and see "if i was a good meet" for them. I get there and Michael asked if i had questions, that was all nothing about my goals or anything. It took me longer to get there then this meeting went on for. I was okay with it thinking, it's a gym it doesn't need to be fancy or anything. When i signed up, Michael (The owner by the way) asked when i was coming in to make sure he was there and he would explain everything. I came that Monday and nothing was explained, they had us doing push ups and rows, squats....By the end i had an appointment with Michael that Kyle had arranged for a Saturday to meet and talk about the price and the monthly membership. Kyle texted me that Michael had an emergency can we reschedule a couple of days pass by i email Kyle to check for what day i had not heard back, answers one time, then never answers again. I never got to meet with Michael for the monthly cost, i was determined to Join, but felt it was not a good it if they were so lack of professionalism. I did love the environment while working out and overall Nik was my favorite trainer~ If i could get my money back, i would. a place of a lot of cursing, but overall just bad professionalism, and lack of help. I would not recommend even if it is 5 mins away from my home. read more

The X-Project is one of the best CrossFit style gyms hands down. All coaches and members are more than welcoming and make you feel like family in no time. It does not matter if you are an extreme fit athlete, a couch potato wanting to get back in the gym or somewhere in between, this gym is for everyone. All workouts have modifications for all body types and the coaches all are very helpful in helping you find which movements and modifications are best for you. The owner Michael, is amazing. I mostly did one on one training with Kati but took a few classes here and there with Michael. If I had any injury or needed any modification he always had another movement for me. And he always remembered for the next time I was there. He truly cares about everyone who walk through those doors. As for Kati, she is the best. She will push you harder than you think you can go and always makes the workouts fun. She is very knowledgeable and truly cares for her clients. After 2.5 years with them, I am very sad to be leaving due to my job. I will for sure be back to visit and do some workouts. read more

I started X-Project not knowing what to really expect. I had not exactly taken care of myself and needed a push to get started. I hired a professional trainer Sandi and I have to be quiet honest, I have never worked out this much in the last 10 years! She pushes me but not to the point I cannot accomplish a goal. She works around my crazy schedule at work and realizes I need some specialized training. I have been slowly gaining back many years of self indulgence in food and stress.
