I just simply can't say enough amazing things about this venue. When I walked in here, all I could say was WOW. This place is beyond STUNNING. Every little area in this venue is absolutely gorgeous. I was hired a few times to play violin here and the outside area was just incredible. You HAVE to go check it out. Inside has rooms and areas worth checking out. The beautiful rustic, historic look is so perfect. Every room is so fun to check out. The staff here is also incredibly amazing. When I get booked here, I am absolutely excited to come back. All of the staff, especially our incredible coordinator Luly was amazing and so helpful from the moment we booked with them up until the day of. The Wright House was our dream venue from the moment we started wedding planning and we immediately knew it was the one when we had our tour. The lush, garden venue is like no other in Arizona and transports you to a different place when you step on the property. Spencer, Rainey, and Tiffani were amazing to work with. Tiffani did amazing venue coordination on the day of our wedding, and everything was set up exactly how we wanted it to be. She even went as far as bringing us charcuterie cups and drinks after our ceremony! Park Ave Catering is the preferred caterer for the venue and we're so happy we went with them. The food was just as delicious on our wedding day as it was during our tasting and our guests loved the food! Flowers by Ellen centerpieces and Arizona Bartenders were included in our package and they were great to work with. We held a celebration of life for my father at The Wright House, using the ballroom and the Provencal spaces. Tiffany and the staff treated us with such compassion and care throughout the process, providing us with the opportunity to focus on the service as opposed to the details of the two spaces. Grieving our dad and planning the service was an out-of-body experience, but Tiffany and the staff made us feel like we could get through it in a thoughtful, intentional space that facilitated what we were doing. This is One of those places that is hidden in the city. You expect the city to be dry and unwelcoming without green but this place was a nice change of pace. I attended a family wedding here this past weekend; it's a unique event space, and I'd say it's ideal for a spring evening wedding. We were told that another wedding took place there simultaneously, but we had no idea at the time. We entered the ceremony through a little house- pictures and the seating cards were on a table inside. Behind it, chairs and the DJ set up in front of a gazebo. Cocktail hour and dancing took place in another building behind that, and dinner was outside on tables arranged around a small pond. The setting is like a fairy-tale secret garden. First time being here with fiancée was one of their open houses with vendors, prizes, and tours. It is such a gorgeous property. How much are they put into everything is very apparent. The best part of the night was our tour guide Jenny's helpfulness. She was so supportive and kind in answering our super specific questions. She gave us tips and hacks for having a reception more friendly to our budget. She is also so smiley and welcoming. For my son's wedding. Great place, decorated as a princess dream, that is for the location. Beautiful gardens, like an oasis in the desert. Now for the house choice of bartenders and food service. Poor choice, lack of coordinations, poor service or no service regarding the bartending, you have to fend for yourself, to find them and they even did not promoted the special drink. It was uncoordinated, lack of service. Appetizers, second class food, shrimps needed to be tight and happy not bending when out of the plastic glass. The caterer needs to go back to school for presentation. Food, definitely the lowest point of the evening, and it was looking as they wanted to be done before they started. Lack of presentation, sad salad, carrots Potatoes, chicken and roast in the same plate!!! With the sauce on top!!! Sound you are back at school lunch. Which school they have been to? To mix everything like that. the dessert, the cake was good at last. Champagne uncoordinated timing. Beautiful, lush venue! Our wedding photos on the stage are enchanting. The pictures are meaningful to me so that's why the rating is so high. I hope they change the checkered tile in the ballroom. It clashes with many themes. Not happy with the day-of coordinator. I, the bride, had to round everyone up to their places when the ceremony started and the coordinator just watched. According to my family, she didn't help or care about anything else. In prior meetings, we were told we could take a coupke pictures on the other side since it wasn't used. But the day of the wedding we weren't allowed. A photo booth album was accidentally left behind. When we went back to pick it up, the staff put it outside on the curb for us over the weekend, where anything could have happened to it. Recommend it for pictures. We just got married last week! It was the most amazing experience from start to finish! They were so helpful and accommodating and made me feel like a princess! Woah. The Wright House has soooo much potential, but they fail big time. I was a bridesmaid a couple of weeks ago at a wedding and reception that were held at the Wright House. I actually told my friend the bride that if I were in her shoes I would not tip her coordinator (Tiffany) a dime. Reasoning below: 1. Tiffany told us that she would be near the wedding and visible all night, We could NEVER find her and all 4 bridesmaids would have to go looking for her if we had a question/issue. 2. When we were doing the rehearsal, we had issues with some of the bridesmaids sinking into the grass, instead of offering a solution we got a snide "I cant pour concrete in one day" remark from her. Not cool. The brides step dad brought 2 stepping stones from his own yard for the girls to stand on, problem solved. 3. Tiffany told us that the bridal suite would be locked AT ALL TIMES and that we could leave our purses and valuables in there. She said to just come find her (ya right) when ever we needed anything. On 5 occasions through out the night I went to the room and it was UNLOCKED each time and no Tiffany in sight. Not cool. The Wright House is on a very busy street and any one could walk off the street and right inside and could have taken our things. 4. I thought the DJ was our personal butler! Before the reception got started he took the whole bridal parties drink order, brought us our drinks and got us refills when we needed. I didn't realize he was the DJ until it was time to get the reception started. You would think that Tiffany would maybe check on us like he did, no such luck. 5. When the bride went back the following day to get the rest of her stuff, some things had been misplaced and not kept safe like Tiffany had told her they would be. As for the place itself. The garden/ceremony area is sooo beautiful and very well maintained. The reception hall and bridal suite on the other hand is a JOKE. The carpets in the bridal suit were filthy! The reception hall had decorative tables displaying flowers and such, the tables were shabby and you could see broken off pieces just hanging from them. Its a shame. This place could really be nice. It needs updating, cleaning and a new staff. read more

Very nice venue for a wedding, it's got a dance room, outdoor patio with a nice view of the fountain, it is surrounded with lots of trees for shade. If you don't want your guest to sit outside during the summer you can use the dance room, very versatile venue. Finding a wedding venue was one of the most stressful experiences - we were so scared to pick the wrong one. We found the Wright House by simply googling wedding venues, and we absolutely fell in love with the pictures online. When we toured it in person, it felt even more magical. Not to mention to kind staff. We felt so good about it, we cut our other tour of a different venue short and went back to the Wright House to put down our down payment. Thank you wright house for making my dream wedding come true! I grew up wanting to get married at the wright house. I loved the help that they offered. All the staff I felt with were always kind and personable. They made my day so easy. Everything was beautiful! Their decorating staff is awesome. I wasn't sure at all what I wanted and they were so patient with me and pulled out every option available for the table settings. The prices are decent and include decor and flowers. Had our wedding here on March 20. Beyond impressed!! They had it decorated exactly like I wanted and it was beautiful!! I loved that us girls had a whole room to ourselves to get ready in. We chose the Provençal side because I loved the fountains. At night when the lights came on, I fell in love with the venue even more. Can I hug you all one more time and tell you thank you again!!??? We had such an amazing wedding! Thank you to Spencer, Tiffany, Rainy and the rest of the staff at The Wright House. Our wedding got canceled by our other venue 34 days before our wedding. We luckily found The Wright House and they were able to work with us to get our wedding re-scheduled and planned in 2 weeks! We did have to change our date but they were SO accommodating. We had about 3 separate meetings and we were able to put everything together with no problems. The vendors they use and recommend to us were amazing as well. I didn't have any issues with a thing. They decorated beautifully, the staff was amazing I cant say that enough, the ceremony was perfect and the reception was beyond amazing. The Provencal was breathtaking when I showed up! Everything I thought of and asked for and pictured came to life beautifully! I was a little worried about having a wedding next to us at the Ballroom while we were at the Provencal, but you couldn't hear the other wedding at all. There is enough parking and you didn't even realize they were there. Planning was simple, they give you a ton of different options for everything, they are very patient and understanding and they have a few different packages you can choose from to make the wedding exactly what you want. I was not able to be to the venue early before the ceremony so when I showed up my guests were already seated. I peeked out and everything was PERFECT! After our ceremony and pictures I walked around a little and noticed they went above and beyond to make our wedding special and to give it the exact feel and look we wanted. I cant wait to get pictures back from our photographer and post them! I cant say thank you enough!!!! We live in north Phoenix but the drive is well worth it. The Wright House made everything so easy. The pricing was very straight forward. No hidden extra fees (tax, gratuity, etc.). The staff was very friendly, helpful with all questions and put us at ease. The home is beyond beautiful! My daughter wanted a garden outdoor wedding and the entire venue is a natural setting with flowers and trees. The pricing is reasonable for everything included. We had the best time throwing our wedding at the Wright House. They made the whole process really smooth from our tour till the day we received the deposit back in the mail. Spencer was always so quick to answer questions. Rainy was our number one contact and she was always available to answer questions and made us feel really comfortable and confident throughout the process. Huge shoutout to Tiffany she worked behind the scenes as our day of coordinator and everything ran perfectly. There was a moment before the ceremony that I realized I had not been out to check if everything was in place, set up, and ready to go but I didn't need to because Tiffany took care of it perfectly. Not only was she taking care of us there was an emergency at the other venue and she was running both at the same time. I never even noticed that is how good she is at her job. We recently had our wedding at the Wright House, and they really pulled it off at the end. The garden is absolutely gorgeous, and I really loved being about to step outside of the reception hall and spend a few minutes enjoying the garden when I needed a minute to catch my breath. The decorations were very nice, and I was so happy that I didn't need to worry about decor or set-up like you might have to at a non-wedding focused venue. Also, Candi was our day-of coordinator, and we were happy with her. I am docking a star because the Wright House made this event more stressful than necessary leading up to the wedding. They don't answer e-mail in a timely fashion, and they also do not communicate internally. I felt like several things were sprung on us at our final meeting with the day of coordinator, such as needing to provide our own glasses for the bar. The biggest problem was that I called a month ahead of time and asked that they touch base with our caterer (they gave us a handout with their requirements but we'd lost it), and they didn't do it until one week before the wedding. This resulted in finding out at the last minute that they wanted the caterer to do more than the caterer could do, so we had to shell out $600 to hire Wright House staff for it. Planning an event here would be much easier if they were more communicative and had electronic copies of important information. The other big negative is that Ellen, their florist, is very difficult to communicate with. When I asked them if their was a better way to contact her since she wasn't responding to email, and they told me to just send her more emails. On multiple occasions, she would say she'd get back to me the next day or the next week and never get back to me. In November, she told me she'd get me a fine-tuned quote the next week. I followed up in February, at which point she asked for info I'd already given her and then repeated the exact same quote. At that point, I found a different florist. All in all, the wedding went very well on the actual day of, and the venue is as beautiful as the first time you see it. I just wish they'd up their professionalism a bit and find a new florist. read more

Our daughter recently got married at The Wright House. Overall, it was a beautiful and memorable event. However, having shelled out over $20,000 for this shebang, we were upset that some of the particulars were not taken care of as promised. For instance, the appetizers were whisked away much too early so that when the bride and groom were finished with pictures and were more than ready to eat something, there was no food in sight. What was even more troubling is that shortly before the newlyweds arrived for the appetizers, there was tons of food still there--and we noticed one of the staff stuffing his face and piling food onto his plate! Another upsetting thing had to do with the liquor. We had upgraded by adding 2 cases (60 bottles) of Blue Moon beer, but did not receive a single one back like we were supposed to; it is totally unlikely that all 60 bottles were consumed by guests as we had wine, champagne and other beverages available. Furthermore, our daughter was very disappointed that she only got to sample one piece of cake--the one shoved in her face. After cutting the cake, the servers placed various slices on plates, but quickly took the rest of it away, with about 2/3 still intact. They then brought some cut slices back. Nevertheless, none of the leftover cake--except for the customary top tier--was returned to us to take home as promised. This cake was meant to feed 75 people--and in addition we had also provided 2 huge cherry pies; with so much dessert fare available, there is no way the entire cake was consumed. My daughter and I called the owner, Spencer, a few days after the wedding and informed him about the above situations. Though we did not request monetary compensation for the things that fell short of contract expectations, my daughter did request a small red velvet cake since that was the middle layer of the wedding confection and she never even got to taste it. It's been a month since the event and while Spencer indicated he appreciated our feedback, there has been no letter of apology, nor offer of any kind of recompense, and no red velvet cake. So, all in all, we are disheartened at the lack of follow up. It feels like once you've paid the entire bill--which is required prior to the actual event--they don't much care if you were happy or not. read more

Ok first, let me just say that our wedding day ultimately was the happiest day of my life, but it's not entirely thanks to the Wright House. The Good: The venue itself was beautiful. Could not have asked for a more perfect location. The food! My God the food was absolutely fantastic. We got so many compliments on our strawberry vinaigrette salad and stuffed chicken. The cake was also amazing! We have three different flavors of cupcakes and they were all the best I've ever had. Another highlight of the wedding we had many compliments on. Our MC/DJ was the best! He was very friendly and accommodating to our requests. I love how he played a variety of different genres because we had many different tastes of music among our guests. Seriously, could not have asked for a more fun, enthusiastic, and flexible DJ! The bartender was great as well. Very nice and sociable guy. Definitely good at his job. The Bad: The wedding coordinator was absent throughout most of the event. Every time we needed to get into the locked bridal room, we had to hunt her down first. The only time she would show up was to pull my mother away from the reception to ask her questions, which resulted in my mother missing us cut the cake (not all of it was cupcakes). There are two venues at the Wright House. We were promised someone directing traffic outside and security to ensure our wedding and the other one going on would be separate. Neither of these were present. We even had wedding crashers caught on video eating our cake before we got to it. Unacceptable. The Ugly: The flowers were horrendous. They were the wrong color and they were missing in many places they were supposed to be. My wedding bouquet was so small, I thought it was for the bridesmaids. Definitely no compliments on the flowers. Hopefully no one will remember them. read more

The Wright House is a lovely venue and the photos came out beautiful because the building and grounds are carefully manicured. The staff is wonderful and knowledgeable and had great suggestions. The decor, set up, the coordinator and the grounds are all great. No complaints about the Wright House itself at all. My only suggestion is for them to re-examine their preferred vendors because a few of them are lacking and do not match up to the venue service wise.
