Tickets were a little pricey for something to return to often but a wonderful night out on occasion. Service all around was great. Colby and Chase were lovely and Amber was wonderful to work with around event coordination.

I ordered the fried chicken bao buns, with slight reservations about getting something like this at an American food place. But they were great! The bao buns were perfectly soft and warm, and served with extra of the slaw which was really great to add in as you got to the narrower part. What a great spot! Will definitely be back.

I got the two queen's beds. It doesn't come with a box spring but the bed is comfortable enough. The Front Desk Agent was very helpful and kind to us upon check in. Parking was $15.00 per night. The room was clean and spacious. A/C was blasting ice cold. The only downside about the Moxy here in Tempe is that it is an old, outdated property. The hallways do have that old motel smell to it, and they were fixing certain things in the hallways. It doesn't have a minibar or refrigerator and if you need ice, you'd have to get that at the bar. For the price I paid, it was worth it. If it is during peak season, then probably would not be worth it.

The lobby is also attractive and has a welcoming atmosphere. Our main issue was some rowdy neighboring guests who were blasting music around 10 p.m. We eventually requested a room change that night, which was a bit inconvenient. Another downside was that we didn't receive housekeeping service during our weekend stay. Overall, a solid stay with comfortable accommodations and a nice property. Just be aware that parking is valet-only at $39 per night, with no self-parking available. Verdict: A good downtown Tempe hotel, especially if you're visiting ASU or want to be within walking distance of Mill Avenue. A few service and noise-related hiccups, but overall a pleasant stay.

Inside, there was a room with a small cocktail bar with bartenders and charcuterie boards for cocktail hour. The connecting room had the dance floor, two long tables, a few small tabletops, and access to the bathrooms. The ceremony was difficult to hear, as there was no microphone or sound system. I think a mic is necessary, especially when there's a large crowd. The backyard looked nice at night with lights lit up all around. I did get bit by mosquitoes three times. It had been a rainy couple of days, so that made sense. They had cans of bug spray on the tabletops outside, which I didn't see until it was too late. Dinner was served buffet style, so every table took turns going inside to get food. Note on refrigerated items: The refrigerator on site is a standard top/bottom fridge. So I recommend asking about the dimensions ahead of time because we didn't have room for both the cakes and bottles of champagne.

There's quite a bit of parking available near the venue, just watch for rates as they can be highly variable. Security line moves fast but make sure you don't have anything metal on you, even if it's small. My friend had his keychain-sized pocket knife confiscated (ones that can be brought on planes). Most bands do a great job with the acoustics and production here. Most recently saw Switchfoot with Anberlin and it was great. Last year I caught Architects and We Came as Romans here and those were also great shows. I'm looking forward to more great shows here in the future!
