Wonderful 4-day stay. Clean, well-appointed, comfortable and spacious rooms, amazing 15th floor view. Very accommodating front desk staff. The main floor restaurant served delicious food - especially the airline chicken and wedge salad. The main floor bar was energetic and staffed by friendly employees (especially Sarah!). Roof top bar was amazing with indoor/outdoor seating. Full food menu too. Very well stocked coffee/snack/drink shop. Good location - easy walk to several restaurants. My only complaint was that the shower water was soft, and it took extra time to remove soap film.

My family and I stayed at the Omni Tempe Hotel - ASU for my fiancé and I's graduation. The location is super close to campus, the staff was super friendly, food was great and the rooms were nice. We had some issues with our room when we first checked in but they immediately upgraded us. The whole hotel is decked out in ASU spirit which was really fun. We all had a really great time and were very happy with our experience. Thank you for making our graduation and my families first trip to AZ a wonderful experience!

So, I have a niece, and she is the absolute coolest, most fun person. She's my mini-me (well, technically my sister's mini-me, but I am also my sister's mini-me? My niece looks like the fourth daughter.) Anyways, I wanted to give her an experience for her 12th birthday. I also wanted to start a new tradition because we love ourselves a good tradition! Immediately, I thought a slumber party would be so fun, but like, elevated. A hotel room! I chose the Omni at ASU because we all work there and my niece is super proud of her mom. I decided to get a Mountain View room. They asked if I wanted to join the club, and so I did. It prompted me to tell them if I was celebrating or had any requests. I asked if they could put us on a higher floor for maximum impact and print out some pictures for her birthday with a note from me to be in the room when we arrived. (Someone had done that for me once in my 20s, and I remember feeling extra special.) When we checked in, they let us know we had been upgraded to a suite, we were high up, the photos were beautifully printed on a poster, and she freaked, just absolutely beaming! There are two bathrooms! There's a huge soaking tub! We had a living room with a tv and the bedroom was huge! The decor was so charming. We took pictures at every sitting area. The views were stunning! Then! About ten minutes after we arrived, room service arrived with a birthday cake and Shirley temples! We lounged in the robes and hooked up the tv to my phone so we could stream easily! We decided to check out the rooftop restaurant. My niece said this is so fancy--I kind of wish they had a grilled cheese, though. I asked the server, and he said the chef would be happy to make her an offer menu grilled cheese. We tried the blueberry lemonade mocktail and the burrata plate. Everything was excellent. Before we left, they brought her a delicious flourless chocolate dessert. You guys, at this point, we feel like royalty. The rest of the evening was bubble baths, skincare, nails, background tv, and silly Tik Tok filters. Honestly, it was really a birthday gift for both of us. It's Libra season, baby! We had the best time, and I am so happy that I chose Omni for our new tradition! They couldn't have treated us any better! It was literal perfection. I even had to take a few days to like come back down to Earth, but my niece and I cannot stop talking about how wonderful it was and how we can't wait for next year--and how we should probably just start celebrating half birthdays, too. I cannot recommend the Omni at ASU more!

After an extremely busy July and with my upcoming birthday, I treated myself to a staycation at the beautiful Omni hotel in downtown Tempe. I had stayed at the Omni in San Diego years ago and I remember it being a gorgeous hotel, so thought I'd give this one a try! Tons of positives: All staff have been very friendly during my stay. The room was very clean and also adorable! The hotel is conveniently located near restaurants and nightlife (if that's your thing!). There wasn't a lot going on the night I stayed since school doesn't start for another week or so, so it was incredibly quiet (perfect for me!) A few noteworthy things: The hotel entrance is on the west side of the building, only off of Mill Avenue directly. There is no self parking. The ice machines on each floor don't work but they will bring a bucket to your room if you call the front desk.

We loved the great service here! From the valet to the front desk! We loved our lunch and breakfast. The room had cute ASU touches that we loved. The rooftop bar was the negative part. The service there was awful. We wanted chocolate martinis and they said they couldn't do them.

Kateri at library rules is amazing at making drinks and has great customer service:) thankyou for making a great dirty chai!

This hotel opened in April 2023. It was a total ghost town. This review is for one overnight hotel stay and several visits to the rooftop pool w/ daybed service, and the NHS restaurant inside the hotel, from May-September of 2023 I had nothing but excellent experiences at all of the mentioned places inside the hotel. The pool and pool service were amazing, especially the server with the red hair. She was so kind & accommodating every time I visited. The pool became my secret escape last summer. My only feedback is the daybeds need a better shading solution. Especially in the dead of summer. I've had breakfast a couple of times at the NHS restaurant and it was always fresh and prepared well.

I quickly fell in love with the Omni Tempe Hotel ASU. This new hotel is beautiful, conveniently located, and lots of amenities that made it a joy to stay here. The room was large and comfortable. Sure, the bathtub is a bit small but I appreciate that they have a bathtub! I was very impressed how quiet it was. I never heard any neighbors if I had any. I really liked the decor as well. The bedside tables looked like pieces of antique luggage on stands. The wet bar beside the counter had a lot of character with just enough ASU flair. It had a modern flair but was still very cozy. The staff was delightful. Everywhere I went everyone was so friendly. The software that they use for valet services is the best I have seen. I never waited for my car. It was always waiting for me by the time I got downstairs. When the website says the car is ready it indeed is ready. Those gentlemen really helped me out while I was in town as I never was late for work. For the business traveler I very much appreciated my time here. I appreciated the restful nights and the hospitality the hotel showed. I will return!

Conference started on the weekend ran through the holiday into the work week... well worth working on my days off! The hotel was beautiful and accommodated the conference better than I've experienced in the past. Food was actually really good! Room was beautiful and accommodated my boyfriend who flew in for business as well. Ended our work time with DMC... yup! From Run DMC! I even did the 6am hike up the Butte! lol

Love the decor and atmosphere here. Very clean, the bed is so comfortable and I enjoyed lounging in the big oversized robe. We had an amazing view on the 9th floor. Got to enjoy the pool and bar, very classy. NS had a delicious ribeye steak we enjoyed the room service for dinner. Lucero has the most amazing view, wow!!! We enjoyed some late night cocktails. Would stay again and again.

This is a long overdue review for this amazing hotel…read more I've visited Tempe to attend the Innings Festival three times now. Each time staying at a different Marriott property: Aloft the first time, Westin the second time, and at this Residence Inn during my last visit. And I have to stay, this was probably my best stay. Location wise, this property is a couple of blocks away from the Westin. But still within walking distance to the Innings festival site. The nightly rate to stay at this property was also much lower in comparison to Westin and/or Aloft (at the time of booking). And being a Residence Inn, obviously breakfast is included in the rate. Anyway, the check in process during my stay was quick, and the staff was super friendly and hospitable. Actually, all the staff encounters I'd had during my stay were super pleasant. From offering me a bottle of water when I had purchased a pack of ibuprofen to just a simple hello and a smile as we're walking by the front desk. I don't think I've ever stayed at any Marriott property where the staff is just overall pleasant! During check in, I found out that my room had been upgraded. I had originally booked a room with two queen beds but got upgraded to a two bedrooms suite with a personal bathroom in each bedroom. The hotel room also had a little common area and a kitchenette. Awesome! The noise level at this hotel was pretty much on par with every other hotel I'd stayed in so I'm not complaining about that. I thought my bed was comfortable and I always had a good night sleep during my stay here. Breakfast foods are pretty much what you'd get at any other Residence Inn. You get your eggs, sausages, potatoes, juices, waffles, etc. And although the hotel was sold out during my stay (or so I was told), the line for breakfast never got too long. And although I didn't drive here, there's a parking garage (I think public parking garage) attached to the hotel and I believe it was only around $15/night to park there. So they weren't charging insane parking fees that hotels located in downtown anywhere typically charge. Would I stay here again in the future? Hells to the yes!

I noticed charges that didn't seem accurate and tried to get clarification, but getting clear answers or basic documentation was surprisingly difficult. Instead of transparency, I was met with vague explanations and inconsistent information. The property itself is fine, but based on my experience, I'd strongly recommend reviewing your charges closely and getting everything in writing!

Cons: Proximity to the airport leads to a lot of noise, making it difficult to sleep. They did provide earplugs which didn't help very much. No room service. Responses to messages on the Marriott app are slow. No makeup mirror in the bathroom. Room was uninspiring. There was one small drawer and no other place to unpack. Inside the rooms, the flooring is actually popping up in areas, which makes the whole place feel worn out and poorly maintained. Overall, the hotel just looks very old and neglected now. The elevators are another concern. They make loud noises and honestly sound like they could break at any moment. There is also an unpleasant smell in parts of the building. When you get off the elevator and walk toward the lobby, you can see construction going on, which only adds to the messy and rundown feeling of the property. It has a large screen tv that swivels for watching from bed or living room. It has a clothing closet. It has two low dressers four drawers total. And a nightstand. TV stand has some small shelves. By door you find a shoe and pantry nook for small food storage. Also has a dishwasher. Pros: Can cook and eat there. Rooftop pool with bar. Great location by arena and football stadium. Walkable to restaurants, Trader Joe's, ASU Tempe campus, light rail and buses and transportation center all right there. Town Lake and office complex a few blocks away. Free breakfast every day that's pretty good and varies a little each day with free coffee and other morning drinks. Has a workout room with a great view. Very friendly and helpful staff, went out of their way twice to fetch sweetener and ice. Small convenience store next to front desk. Reasonable daily parking fee that includes unlimited in and out privileges Cons: On a five night stay, housekeeping only checked on us 2 days. Needs small repairs here and there. Example: 2 or 3 drawers had loose pulls that needed screw tightening, saw a weather strip partially detached from door frame. Small workout area had limited equipment. One treadmill was broken one day and I had to wait an hour for the treadmill hog on the only working treadmill to get off despite posted 45 minutes max use rule. Other equipment like weights a bit limited. They allow pets and one day we had to deal with a barking dog somewhere morning and night. We complained twice and the hotel staff could only say they tried and that people are not supposed to leave their pets unattended. Bella from light rail every five to fifteen minutes if you get the southern/western side of the building.

The first impression was warm and inviting: the decor has a cozy, Native American-inspired vibe, complete with a little fire pit area that added to the charm. At check-in, we were warmly greeted by the friendly front desk staff, who made the check-in process smooth and of course offered us the Signature Doubletree cookie. The hotel's layout blends indoor and outdoor spaces, so after checking in, we had to walk outside to reach our room. While the room felt a bit dim, outdated, and slightly worn, it was decently clean and worked just fine for a short overnight stay. One of the biggest perks of this hotel is its proximity to the airport--super convenient for layovers or early flights. They also offer a shuttle service, and the drivers were cheerful and friendly, which made the travel experience very enjoyable. If you're looking for a quick and comfortable stop near the airport with friendly staff and a unique ambiance, this hotel is a solid choice.

We were staying one night in Phoenix before our flight and decided to book through our Hilton Honors account at a DoubleTree. The location we originally wanted was full, so we chose the Tempe property instead. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the start. The woman at the front desk was very standoffish. When we asked about room rates, she quoted a much higher price than our Hilton Honors rate, so we decided to book online while standing in the lobby. When we went back to check in, she told us we had to wait. I also asked for one of the famous cookies, and she said they "weren't ready." She offered no welcome, no information about the hotel, and didn't ask any questions. If you're the face of a hotel, a warm and friendly attitude makes all the difference. Once we got to our room, things didn't improve. The property itself feels very old and outdated. The carpet was torn right at the entrance with sharp pieces sticking out, the AC was loud and squeaky, the headboard wasn't attached to the wall, and we heard a strange tapping sound all night long. We decided to give the property another chance by trying the on-site restaurant, Milagros. Unfortunately, both meals, the ribeye and fajitas the ribeye was raw (and made my husband sick later) and the steak on the fajitas were super tough and both were disappointing. The steaks were poorly cooked and lacked flavor. The one bright spot of the evening was Pedro, who apologized sincerely and provided 50% off my fajitas. His customer service was excellent and truly appreciated. Overall, this hotel does not reflect the quality or hospitality I've come to associate with DoubleTree. It's old, outdated, and lacks the warmth and care that usually make this brand so dependable. I truly hope management takes steps to refresh both the property and the guest experience.
