This place is so beautiful, I would say if you're looking for a fairy tale type of wedding then this is the venue for you. My fiance and I toured the property which is separated into two venue areas. One is called the Provencal and the other is the secret garden or something along those lines. Both places are gorgeous, however we were leaning more towards the Provencal because it contains this beautiful fountain in the center and would make a very ideal outdoor spring wedding. The only reason why we didn't go with them was because a) The prices were a little too much above our budget, b) We didn't want to structure our wedding around beautiful weather and wanted to play safe in case our wedding were to get rained in. I had a beautiful wedding service at the Wright House last May. We were looking for a pretty, outdoor location for a small, intimate wedding (about 20 guests). This was the perfect spot. They had an opening within six weeks (trying to beat the summer heat) at 9 a.m. on a Saturday and gave us a great rate. Our pictures are gorgeous. We didn't use any of the vendors or wedding coordinator, but all went smoothly and everyone commented on how beautiful it was and what a nice time they had. read more

Sept. '10, my daughter got married here, and I want to tell all that our event for her wedding was exceptional !! We were in the Provencal Garden with the beautiful grounds, gorgeous decor, and amazing people. Travis and Clive were fabulous and Tanya took loving care of us from the rehearsal thru to the final minute of the wedding event.!! An amazing wedding last night at the Wright House. The couple wanted their families and the friends of all ages to be able to socialize and enjoy the entire venue inside and out and this place nailed it. Laurie was our captain and she didn't miss one little detail. Ellen did the flowers and they were the most beautiful fall colors ever. I took the newlyweds to the airport this morning and they both said it was the best time of their lives and that all their friends were blowing up social media about it. They are over priced for what you receive. Simple things like ice are not provided. The place is in need of repair. The chairs are worn out, tables are shoddy. They did not set up enought tables so our guests had no place to sit eventhough I paid for more guests than we actually had that night. Also our coordinator who was supposed to be available to me and by my side all night..no where had to hunt her down everytime. Also watch out all their vendors like Bartender Bob are a joke. My son and daughter-in-law's wedding took place on November 1, 2010 at the Wright House Provencal venue. Please read the bullets listed below. Wedding/Wedding Reception Venue * Champagne not chilled upon arrival to venue to set up; requested to have champagne at premise early to be able to initially chill * Difficult to find supplies to set tables * No burgundy cloth napkins to be found; as promised during walk-through * Filthy, dirty glassware with dirt and lipstick stains on glasses * Table cloths stained, soiled and discolored * A variety of different colored cloth napkins; forced to use other napkins as a last resort * Table Numbers originally arranged to be placed on tables had not been done * No cork screw; had to wait until someone returned from store to buy; held up timeline * No table cloth on gift table; had to search on own to find one * No money card treasure chest box left out to be used (as promised) * Bride's room filthy; cork from champagne bottle on floor; almost twisted ankle on it; rug was filthy * No wedding party sign at entrance (as promised) * Side gate unlocked when promised to be locked so guests knew to enter through front door * Sprinklers were on; Bride's dress got wet; Tanya, the wedding coordinator walked on inside of sidewalk while bride walked on the outer side; wedding coordinator told bride her dress would dry * Tanya, the wedding coordinator attire very unprofessional; wore very casual clothing; looked sloppy * Wedding coordinator (Tanya) arrived an hour and a half after she stated (at the rehearsal) she would be at venue to help assist. Said she would arrive at 3pm when the caterers arrived and showed up at 4:30pm * Originally promised rehearsal would be night before wedding at time of actual wedding; was changed to another day and another time without prior notification * Impersonal care from staff members who were present at venue * Staff members made no attempt to take a personal interest in Bride and Groom * When trying to find Tanya, the wedding coordinator for assistance, she was found either texting or talking on her cell phone; wedding coordinator seemed very uninterested and unenthused * Promised Bride's room to be locked during the event to prevent theft; found the room unlocked all the time * Wedding coordinator (Tanya) showed little to no effort to follow wedding timeline provided by Bride and Groom * Bride and Groom helped move ceremony chairs for photos while wedding coordinator stood and watched * Wedding coordinator continually seemed confused about what was to happen next and was overheard saying she "can't believe these people expect professional treatment from the Wright House". * Wedding coordinator did not give operational assistance with TV/DVD until directly asked for help * No flower petals and tea lights (as promised) were laid out along Bridal pathway; Guests had to quickly scatter the flower petals before ceremony; tea lights were eliminated * Overall rating of venue; aesthetically very nice setting; extremely poor professional treatment; very disappointed and only encountered chaos and frustration throughout the entire affair * No recommendation to ever utilize this venue again in the future read more

I'm not sure if I can say enough positive things about the beautiful garden setting of The Wright House. We had our ceremony and reception at the Provencal venue. The venue is breathtaking. Our guests commented consistently that the beautiful grounds really added to the experience, with all the fountains, flowers, and lights it felt almost magical. The convenience of the venue providing all of the tables, chairs, table and chair linens, fresh flower center pieces, glassware, flatware, linen napkins, and plates was worth the price. I didn't have to worry about setting anything up or taking down decorations, which meant my husband I could really just enjoy our wedding. Here are a few things I didn't know or understand before the final walk through or rehearsal that I wish I had known: * Everyone and all your personal items or decorations need to be out of the venue by 11:30 p.m.. We thought we would be about to run the reception right up to 11:15 to 11:30. I'm not sure what happens if you aren't able to get everything cleaned up by 11:30, but when we did our walk-through we saw a family loading stuff up from a wedding the day before. * The bride's room is more than adequate for getting dresses, but has some logistical issues if you are planning to do hair and makeup there for the bridal party. We had 5 ladies who needed to have hair and makeup done at the venue. We were cramped for space and there were not enough tables for the hair and makeup folks to set up their stuff. We had to barrow a few chairs from the wedding setting so we could have enough seating and then the room looked like a bomb exploded because there was equipment and clothes everywhere. I imagine most other bridal parties have hair and makeup done somewhere else and just get dressed there so it isn't really an issue. * The flowers for the gazebo are not included in the wedding packages. Ellen was very easy to work with and was able to provide flower arrangements for the gazebo for a very fair price, but I had incorrectly thought they were included (if you read the info on the packages and it clearly is not included, I guess I just didn't read it well). * The groom's room is a very small area that you had to go through the men's restroom to get too. My husband said that "realistically only 2 guys could get ready at a time, and that's it." While the groom and his guys didn't need a place to hang out during the wedding, it would have been nice for them to be able to have a bigger space to relax in before the ceremony. * This is not really a comment about The Wright House perse, but I thought I would throw this in here. Our ceremony started at 5:30 p.m. with a cocktail hour following for us to take pictures before the dinner. It would have been better for us to have had the ceremony start at 4:30 instead. The problem was, because the ceremony and pictures took us until 7:00 to complete (and we were rushing with the pictures) that put dinner at 7:20 and the first dances at 8:30. By 9:30 families with kids had left and we were just cutting the cake. If we had started earlier, I think we would have had more people be a part of the cake cutting and the wrap up parts of the receptionSo really think about your timeline. We are a couple in our late 30's. Perhaps if we were a younger couple this wouldn't have been such an issue because there would be fewer families at the reception. * The Wright House really helped us out by letting us get into the venue an hour earlier than our contract so we could do hair and makeup. I didn't realize the timeframe was so ridged though it makes sense since The Wright House is selling couples time to have their celebrations there. * I only met with Candi, our day-of-coordinator, once before the wedding. She was very personable and professional, but since our contact was so limited I think that added to anxiety on my part. The Wright House didn't assign a day-of- coordinator to me until 10 days before, which I understand is their typical practice, and I did not meet with her until the Monday before our Saturday wedding. I imagine if I had specified that I would be more comfortable knowing who the day-of-coordinator would be well in advanced The Wright House would have accommodated me, but it never occurred to me to ask. Candi gave me her contact information when I met with her the Monday before the wedding and I should have used it more to ask questions or clarify, but the 2 weeks before the wedding were CRAZY with family coming in and last minute things. It would have been easier for me if I could have met with her 6 weeks before and then 10 before the wedding. This may be overkill for other people, but I think that would have decreased some of my anxiety. Overall, if I had it to do over, I would definitely have had our wedding at The Wright House. Our wedding was beautiful and we had a blast at the reception. read more

I can't believe I haven't written a review for the Wright House yet! We had our wedding reception here two years ago, and it was one of the most beautiful days of my life! We opted for the Garden venue, but Provencal is also gorgeous with a French vibe. The Garden venue is exceptional - I would describe it as maybe a Victorian look? It completely took my breath away when I first saw it. I love that it's so spacious, yet enclosed, so that allowed some of our younger guests to run around without us worrying that they would run out into the streets. There are just so many wonderful things I can say about this venue, but I especially want to give a shout-out to the staff. We worked with two different coordinators - terrible that I can't remember their names - and both were extremely helpful. We worked with one leading up to the wedding, dealing with booking the place and deciding on the decor, arrangements, etc. And then we worked with our day-of coordinator who helped ensure that everything ran perfectly that day. They were both very personable, and we enjoyed working with them very much. Not only did the Wright House provide us with the absolutely perfect backdrop for our wedding day, but the staff made the day run seamlessly and flawlessly. Oh, and did I mention that there are a gazillion places to take pictures at? Almost every spot I turned to, I thought, this would be an awesome picture. And it always was. :) read more

Our daughter fell in love with the venue the first time she walked in and immediately knew it was where she wanted to have her wedding. The grounds are beautiful, the staff was friendly and accommodating, and the price was reasonable. It was great not having to do a lot of "extra" stuff for decorating since the facilities and grounds are already so beautiful. We had Ellen do all of the flowers, and they were gorgeous. Tiffani, our day-of coordinator, was fabulous. I think it was a positive experience for our entire party. Many guests commented on how beautiful it was--and how it didn't even look like it could be in the Phoenix area since it is so green. read more

The Wright House provided an amazing venue for my wedding on 04/18/15. Laurie was an awesome coordinator who kept the whole evening running smoothly without any stress on our part. She never made it known that she was there but we always knew she was keeping everything on track. The venue looked gorgeous and was set up beautifully. I have family members planning a wedding at the Wright House and I find it very frustrating. They were originally told how everything was included and now find out everything is not included. Some things are that we would like to change but can't and we're stuck with, other things are not included, or are "upgrades". I have never seen so many "upgrades", very deceptive. They tried to tell us the limo was not included until we brought out the paperwork that said it IS included. Make sure you spell everything out then get their representative to sign it or you have problems too late to do anything. read more

We arranged a wedding for the end of May. This included the limo in the venue. The day of the wedding evolved into some chaos and missteps. The flowers (bouquet, bootineers, etc...)were delivered but not given over by the staff until after the bride had walked down the ailse. Guests were not directed to where to sign in or where to leave wedding gifts and cards. The floor manager was hard to run down when we needed the musice volume turned up or down. However the floor manager was certainly available to fill up a plate of food before the bride and groom could even sit down at the bridal table. After the cake cutting and other ceremonial events the tempo picked to move us on so another party could come in. While some coordination was needed for the seeing off of the bride and groom that fell apart. The wedding cake piece saved for the couple was not boxed and simply put in a the limo which was not pre-cooled. The trip to the resort for the wedding night was sweltering; the AC never worked in the rear of the limo. Calls to register complaints and dicuss how improvemetns could be made by the Wright House for others were not returned. The feeling we were left with was that we were an after thought; not valued customers. This day was very important for us but we felt deprived of certain joy. I cannot recommend this venue to any prospective bride and groom. read more

My daughter got married at the Wright House October 2017. I know Spencer worked with my daughter extensively prior to the wedding but I had first hand experience with Tiffany. She was fabulous. At the rehearsal she provided the direction we needed yet she put us all at ease with her professionalism and pleasing personality. On the day of the wedding, as my daughter, bridesmaids and I prepared for the wedding, she let us have our privacy yet was present in helping us stay the course. At the beginning of the reception, I asked my cousin to get me a glass of wine. Tiffany personally delivered it instantly. Everything went smoothly, seamlessly. I will never forget the outdoor setting of the evening, the garden and the lights twinkling in the lovely towering trees. It was enchanting. We got married in June in 115 degree weather... You'd think that would put a damper on the day, but it was absolutely perfect! Partially because I was marrying the love of my life, and partially because our venue was AMAZING! From the very start, I really felt like everyone involved wanted to make my day special. I had a walk through and several consultations during my 8 month long engagement. I changed several things, several times, and the Wright House was so accommodating! The venue was absolutely GORGEOUS. They set up everything the way we had agreed upon, and it was so nice to not have to worry about any of it. We chose the garden side and it was absolutely the best. I am still dying about how gorgeous the inside of the venue was and the outside too! We had a ring ceremony that was perfect, and brought tears to everyone's eyes. The chairs were taken down sooo quickly after the ceremony and before the reception. The reception area was great for our come-and-go wedding, with plenty of seating, and gorgeous centerpieces that were included in the price.
