The food is delicious! The service is absolutely rude. I got a blackbean burger with lettuce, tomato, onions, no cheese, and mixed greens for a side, no dressing. They definitely had cheese and dressing. Had to send it back, after arguing with the server. It was wonderful, when it was corrected. My husband got the patty melt and fries. He loved it. Our waitress was reluctant to come back to the table to refill drinks. We asked another server. Definitely, I recommend the food. They really need to work on their people skills. read more

This was my husband's pick for lunch(but I've had it bookmarked for quite a while). It took a moment to decide because there's quite the variety of options. Brunch, salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, etc. I'm always a sucker for a half and half combo so I opted for the half turkey, bacon, and gouda sandwich and half paradise salad. He chose half kale and parmesan salad and half turkey club sandwich. The paradise salad really was paradise. It's a bed of fresh greens tossed with walnuts, blue cheese, dried cranberries and just the right amount of dressing. I might even order a whole next time. My sandwich was fine, but probably wouldn't choose it again. It's served warm/melted/toasted, which was why I selected it in the first place, but flavor and texture wise was just ok. My husband's turkey club looked amazing and I'd be interested in trying to get it with toasted bread next time. He like my salad better than his kale and parmesan, but his was really good too. Some of their food is very tasty and the employees are generally nice. Their open mic isn't recommended as you might sign up, and then wait two and a half hours before you get to play your mere three songs. Or, if you're the 11th or 12th person to sign up, you probably won't get to play at all. If there are lots of people in the audience, it's hard to get a seat because all chairs are at tables. read more

I was very disappointed with the size and quality of my salmon, wedge salad. Portion was about 1/3 of the plate and wasn't served with supposed lavash. Staff was young, very busy and had difficulty managing all of the phone conversations for orders, as well as people ordering at the front. Management needs to address these issues. Chefs in the back also could use some orientation regarding what is an appropriate serving for an $18 entree salad. Not sure I will be back anytime soon. read more

Absolutely terrible experience! Took my 2 kids to breakfast who were in town for Thanksgiving break, spent over $60 for the saddest looking breakfast I have ever seen. I asked to speak to the manager, who when I told them about my complaint, made no attempt to make things better, offer another option or refund the meal. I was actually in shock when I repeated my complaint that I could not believe this is what delivered to our table, and was basically told that there was nothing they could or would do and they didn't care when I told them I would not be returning if this was their attitude. A restaurant, or any business for that matter, that does not care if their customers are happy is not a business I want to support. Went home after spending over $60 to turn around and make breakfast at home, as we left most of the pathetic looking meal on the table. What a waste of time and money! read more

What a treat of a place! My husband and I stopped in for lunch on Friday and were so pleasantly surprised to find they have such a large outdoor eating area that is covered! It makes the eating experience so much better right away! We really enjoyed the kale and artichoke dip and would go back just for that alone! The regular margarita was good and I would order again. TheYranquility bowl was so-so. Not a lot of flavor. Husband ordered and switched with me. It was okay but wouldn't order again. I had the Turkey club and half salad lunch pick two. They were both good but nothing that was outstanding. We also had the baked cauliflower as recommended by the lady who took our order. It was good. I think we would try the balsamic chops next time. This was my first time coming here for breakfast! I loved the eclectic atmosphere and really how big and spacious it's. It's perfect for a family gathering or friends get together. They have a cute patio out front too! It's a order and pay type service which I like because there is no rush and sense or urgency to eat and leave immediately. Coffee is self serve along with the other drinks they offer. They have a nice selection of on tap beer and a happy hour menu that looked great. We both enjoyed the skillets that was served with either toast or fruit. It was delicious and very hearty! I really want to try their avocado toast next and I definitely want to come back for lunch! Visited with friends, 1 had loaded fries, another the Portabello Reuben and I had the sweet & salty grilled cheese with side maple mixed greens. Atmosphere and decor was eclectic with a back room for live music but open for dining otherwise. Sit here, much less crowded and noisy than the front area seating. There is outdoor seating as well but way too hot outside when I visited! They have bar drinks and beer on the menu as well as smoothies and freshly made juices. My sandwich was out of this world if you are a fan of the sweet/salty vibe! The cheeses were goat, cheddar, gouda, with local honey drizzled on the perfectly toasted sourdough sandwich, then sprinkled with pink himalayan sea salt. I was in heaven. The salad was fresh and the maple vinaigrette dressing a perfect counter-point to all the cheesy goodness of the sandwich. The friend with the loaded fries enjoyed the vegetarian chili on the fries but found the fries weren't crisp enough for her tastes. The other friend with the Portabello Reuben was sad as he thought it was a corned beef Reuben with the added ingredient of Portobello. Oops! Menu was clear on the ingredients, he just missed it. But otherwise he enjoyed the vegetarian version of the Reuben. Its pay as you go, so get your order straight the first time through the line or you will be back in line again. Only table service is when they bring your order. The wait time for your food is average to just a bit slow but we came at lunch on a Saturday so understandable. Went here for breakfast with a friend. Wanted someplace different from the standard breakfast places which are everywhere. This place is really unique, I love the eclectic decor. It's hard to describe, someplace between beach shack and north woods cabin, with a touch of urban chic thrown in. The Wolf has a cool vibe and decent food. I like coming here for the stand up comedy show that my friend performs in. The last time I was here, I had the slinger bowl, which was very filling (I even had some left over for lunch the next day). It's a large bowl with a large house made black bean burger and chili topped with 2 eggs over easy. I asked for them to hold the jalapeno, but it tasted like they didn't; it thankfully wasn't too spicy for me to eat and enjoy, though. My spouse and I also had the balsamic chips, which were pretty good eaten right away. It's a plate of Billy Goat chips covered with melted gouda and a balsamic vinaigrette type of glaze. The salty and vinegary taste did well together. Since it's in Ballwin, I wouldn't go out of my way just to eat here, but I really do enjoy it when I come for my friend's shows. The atmosphere is really cool and different. Each room has a different vibe. The service was excellent and the food came out quickly. I got the BLT & E salad which was spinach, arugula, bacon, tomato, egg, and this "green goddess" dressing. It was fresh and really good for what it was. I wanted something a little on the healthier side, so that's why I chose a salad. I would definitely try a sandwich next time I go. Overall good, 4 star cafe with fresh food and good vibes. I absolutely adore this place! It has a wonderful vibe with a ton of colorful art, beautiful furniture, and frequent live performances. The food is also fantastic; I usually get either the 'Stang Grilled Chicken or Black Bear (which is just a black bean burger with avocado and chipotle mayo on a brioche bun) and they're both fantastic. The Wolf is the perfect place to relax, chill with friends, or get some work done while grabbing a bite to eat, and I definitely make an effort to visit every time I come to St. Louis. read more

One of my West County favorites! I don't go here enough. On this particular check in, I came for a happy hour and a spot to work on homework. I stayed for dinner and enjoyed a salad and grilled cheese. I showed up early on a Friday night, when the restaurant only had a few people. As the night progressed, more and more people showed up to enjoy a bite and the live music (!!!). I am a sucker for live music, so this spot is such a perfect place to be on a relaxed Friday night. Honestly shocked how great their breakfast options were! I ate here for breakfast on Mother's Day weekend with family and we were all satisfied! I had the avocado toast and I've been thinking about it all week! They topped it with thinly sliced sweet peppers and a fresh lime wedge to squeeze on top. This combination is not something I thought of, but it worked and was so tasty! On a different visit I ordered a coffee drink and was not super thrilled.
