We knew we were going to a dive bar. We didn't know it was going to be quite so divey (probably not a real word, but you get it). There are some tables outside. I think they're plastic, but could be wrong. They were all taken when we got there so we had to eat inside. The inside is pretty small. There were two open tables but they were filthy. We ended up sitting at a counter along the windows. The menu is on a board. We chose what we wanted and we just guessed at what to do next. There didn't appear to be any table service so my husband walked up to the bar and placed our order. We believe there was only one person working there that night. She was working the bar, cooking, and delivering drinks and food to tables. And she was pleasant! The place is small, dirty, and it was super loud. People were vaping like crazy and I don't believe most places allow that. I'm not a fan of being around it. Not a great atmosphere! There was no way I was going to use the women's restroom after my husband reported back on the men's room. He said the door was hard to close because it was somewhat hanging off the hinges. He could barely turn around in there because it's so small. He said it was disgustingly dirty. The pluses were they there was water, soap, and paper towels, and there were no live bugs. The food was very average. Supposedly the Larry Burger is great. It was not. It was very average. It was thicker than most burgers, but that's about it. We each had one of those and we shared an order of fried mushrooms. The mushrooms were the highlight of our time there. They would have been better with horseradish sauce instead of ranch dressing. I can't imagine the scenario that would see us going there again. read more

The bartender who took my 'to go' order for two burgers and two fries was apparently going off shift at 3:30. I arrived in time to watch her grab the burger buns with her bare hands and put them on the grill. I then watched her grab the frozen fries out of the bag with her bare hands and drop them in the basket to cook. I can only imagine how the raw meat was handled but the patties were already cooking when I arrived. Needless to say, the more I thought about it, the more my appetite disappeared. Dive bars are good, but unsanitary handling of food is not. Never again. read more

If you love a great good ole bar with basic drinks, fantastic burgers and shuffleboard stop by Larry's. Its where biker bar meets upscale suburbia and you never know who you'll get to meet. Smoky inside with great outside seating. If the service where better I would rate Larry's a 5. The service lately has been dismal. I felt I was a bother to multiple bar tenders who love their regulars. Don't understand why servers don't understand being nice can result in better tips. read more

7-23-20: Went to Larry's Tavern for some socialization, food, and drink. I really like that Larry's recently put in some outdoor seating and dining with a few umbrellas and a gazebo. It makes a lot of sense and I'm sure as this new "normal" continues over the next year that they have space for further growth of the outdoor area. It's enough room for some really creative hardscaping/landscaping that will help grow this business. One of the great things about Larry's Tavern is the food. Had a couple of cheeseburgers that had the right amount of cheese and meat combination along with condiments that made it tasty. It's handmade burgers too so each come out a different size and that adds to knowing it's a great tavern/grill. Larry's surprisingly has a nice selection of beers as well as wine and liquor. Not a fan of A-B since they sold out so I prefer a craft beer or some other brands; LT offers that selection. Wife likes the other beers and seltzers too so they offer a wide selection. Our server/tender/cook/bar tender/cashier was Allie who easily handled the multi-tasking with ease for ourselves and the rest of the patrons. I hope she gets paid well for doing everything. She has a great attitude and always smiling. A nice attribute these days. Lastly, I really like the patrons of LT's. We recently moved into the area and have noticed that Larry's is ALWAYS jamming. The parking lot is always full no mater if its 10 inches of snow or pouring down rain. We have always wanted to check it out because its small and were curious about the logistics of how people fit inside. Yesterday evening after a rough day we just said the heck with it and decided to order take out from Larry's. The person on the phone was an absolute doll. She took our order and 15 min later we were ready to pick up. When we walked inside you instantly felt at ease. Its dimly lit but clean and warm. The regulars were welcoming and friendly. The Thunder Rolls by Garth Brooks was playing in the background. Everything that I hated about that day just melted away. They have several TV's around the room and in front of the bar. There is plenty of table seating and bar seats. They have an updated Jukebox and a really neat Shuffleboard to the side. I was very impressed. The bartender who I am assuming took our order greeted us with such a warm big smile that I wanted to take a seat and vent to her. she got our food packed up and ready to go. We ordered the cheeseburgers and fries. It was one of the best dive bar burger I have ever had. It was divine. It was perfect. It was just what we needed. 10/10 would order again! A small local dive bar that has some decent bar food options. I have only had their cheeseburger and homemade chips. The burgers are so good (I add grilled onions on mine too) with the seasoning they use. The chips are very very good. I get hot sauce on the side to dip in, yum. The crowd here is interesting mix. If you go after 8pm on a Friday or Saturday it "gets drunk" real fast and we weren't a fan. Thursday evening was A LOT better. Overall this place is definitely not the prettiest, its a dive but good. Hence 4 stars... not a 4 star restaurant but 4 stars for the category it is and my expectations of such a old small dive bar :) Plus beer is cheap $2.75 bottles I believe. Larry's you could say is my neighborhood bar as it's pretty much right at the end of my road. I've driven by it for almost a year and finally stopped in on a Friday night for the first time. I'm told it had a recent remodel but to the new visitor it all just says it's a decent small bar and in West County there are very few. They have a decent menu served all day and evening that has nothing healthy on it but is sure was all tasty. Perfectly done chicken wings, a good sized cheeseburger, crispy fries and two bourbons made for a very full and enjoyable visit. I drive by this place daily. A tiny shack on Old Manchester Road in Wildwood. Gravel parking...the lot is full of contractor vans and trucks around 3:30pm on weekdays. So the decision was made to hit it on Friday night at midnight (2nd location). It was jam packed. There was a jukebox playing fun party music. The owner was dancing around and then would go back to tending bar, wearing a tiara that had a blinking light and feathers, of course. Big mix of people. Cowboys, suburbanites, sketchy jailbirds, young randoms...all having a great time. I left thinking, what the hell was that? 3 stars because the bathrooms...I won't even talk about it. read more

The only true dive bar in Wildwood. The burgers are great. Not always the best crowd inside, but a great little spot.

It is a little town tavern with good food and drinks. Modest in price and selection. I have enjoyed every time i have gone there.

Run down place, dty and sticky. Food is average. Not too crazy about the crowd either.
