On top of that I was surprised to find that spaghetti comes as a side! It reminded me of cafeteria spaghetti, but not the bad kind you groan about when you see it on the menu, the kind that has you running to the cafeteria to beat everyone else. The spicy cabbage is just that, SPICY. I was only able to eat a few bites, but even under all that spice the flavor was excellent. The catfish strips were hot and tender. They even threw in an extra or two. Now the server, he was amazing. He greeted us promptly and went above and beyond. I have not had such a positive experience with a server at any restaurant I've been to in a long time. I didn't catch his name, but he was brilliant. The restaurant was clean, food was fresh, and plenty of seating. I'm very excited to visit here again!

We stopped in on a Thursday night & surprisingly the place was almost empty for whatever reason. We were greeted immediately by our server, Allie T, who did an excellent job of taking care of us & gave us some nice recommendations. We ordered the Seafood Beignets for an appetizer & the Tuna Poke as well as the Panko Fish Sandwich for the main course. Everything arrived in short order & couldn't have been better. The atmosphere was nice & the prices were more than fair ( 1 appetizer, 3 Cocktails & 2 Entrees for $75.48 ) I highly recommend Civil Kitchen & we look forward to coming back.

Unfortunately, I left disappointed because the food quality just wasn't what I remembered. I had been telling my wife how great the food used to be--almost like gourmet bar food--and was really looking forward to sharing that experience with her. The smash burger no longer tasted like the duck-fat burger I remembered, and the fries definitely didn't seem to be house-made anymore. They tasted more like a lower-quality frozen product, which was a letdown. On the positive side, the service was excellent. Even with the restaurant getting busy and a live band setting up, the staff stayed friendly, attentive, and on top of everything. One thing to note is that we initially arrived around 12:45 p.m. on Sunday, only to find out they weren't open and was told that something came up and they didnt open until 3:00 p.m. on this Sunday. Overall, I still enjoyed the atmosphere and appreciate the great service, but I hope the kitchen can get back to the food quality that made Lindberg's one of my favorite spots in the past.

The restaurant was pretty busy but our server Benjamin came over immediately and took our drink order. We ordered the Chicken nachos and they let us sub pork for the chicken. I was too tired to send them back and order something else so I just mostly ate the toppings. Hubby ordered the Shrimp and tenders. We were sharing and this entry was plenty to share. You get 4 decent size fried shrimp and two very large chicken tenders. They came out very hot, perfect!!! The fries were luke warm and not very good. We would get this again but probably try other sides. We noticed many people around us getting the flatbread pizzas. They all looked delicious! We definitely would come back and try other things. It was large portions! I got the chili cheese fries, per his recommendation! It was very good! I got it without a lot of the toppings it comes with and got sour cream and a boo sauce they make in shop that he recommended with it! It went very well! It was very filling! The chili was also very good! I had heard their chili was different than others, so I asked if it was different and he gave us a sample to try! It was normal to me, it does have beans and meat in it, if you're against either one of those in your chili! We also got fried pickles as an appetizer, my husband normally does not like fried pickles but he LOVED these, and said they were the best he's ever had and I love fried pickles and I would probably have to agree with him!! They were delicious, good ratio and I would get them again. For the price it was worth it to us! The diner still had that diner ambiance that a lot of places do not have anymore except for like NLA Cafe in Nixa! It only had one item listed for dessert, which was a pineapple upside down cake, which I don't normally like, but if they did like a peanut butter chocolate pie or something to give the dessert section a boost that would just improve it! Next time, I'm going to try the frito pie!!
