I've always gotten really good food there. I suggest getting a white meat if you're getting chicken. They cook it fresh and are fast. I think it's worth a try! read more

I travel a fair amount for work and on occasion after a long day I just want to order take out and relax in my hotel room. On my recent trip to Springfield, MO I had a craving for Chinese food. I used Uber Eats to find the highest rated spot in the area and was happy to see they had one of my go to meals, Roast Pork Egg Foo Young. I ordered the combination dinner which comes with Fried Rice and an Egg Roll. I had a sweet tooth and gave their Almond Cookies a try as well. The order arrived fast and fresh, thanks to my delivery driver Jeffery. The portions were very generous, the food was hot and very tasty. I'd say it's one of the better Egg Foo Young's and Sauces I've had from a Chinese restaurant. The Fried Rice was fresh and the Egg Roll was well stuffed, crispy and had a great taste. For dessert I had Almond Cookies, they were the perfect sweetness to top off a good meal. My fortune cookie fortune was fitting for the week of business meetings I was conducting. Overall it was just what I was looking for a stay in dinner. I'd check out China King on West Republic Road again next time I'm craving Chinese in Springfield. read more

OK. I'm from San Francisco where we probably have the best Chinese food in the USA. So being in the middle of the country, I wasn't expecting anything great. Considering that it's Springfield, it's just OK by my terms. Essentially self serve. Order at the front counter and they bring you the food. My hot and sour soup came in a big plastic container. Guess they thought that I would take some home, which I did. Zero ambiance in a strip mall, clean restrooms, straight forward menu, good amount of food for the price, no alcohol. Just nothing especially good or bad. A solid 3 stars!! read more

Great variety of food. Lots of seating and parking. You can wander the buffet or watch their chef create your own.

Quick and always delicious. I'm predictable and I always get the sweet and sour chicken and it's wonderful!

Overall it was good. Not too greasy. Enjoyed the Egg foo young a lot. Fried apps were generic, not terrible.

Absolutely the best Chinese food in Springfield, Missouri. It's always quick fast food, That's delicious.

In town from Joplin surgery. While, the ambience was lacking, it didn't matter because the food and the service were excellent. I am in Springfield to have major surgery and it was a wonderful last meal before not being able to eat. Will definitely be back for more. read more

Lemon chicken is the best :D Crab rangoons are damn good :3 Make sure to go here yall, it's some of the best Chinese food I've had read more

China King - 23. Szechuan Chicken C - Chinese Near Me - Springfield, Missouri

Super happy with my first try here. I had broccoli and rice with hot and sour soup. I noticed in some of the earlier comments that preference was for the China king on Republic so I came here. I've been coming to Springfield for years and have never found a reliable Chinese food place. This was easy, tasty and the price is right $8.11 for lunch. I did not order a drink. The chicken was cooked appropriately. The broccoli was nice and crunchy and there's even some random carrots that are also done to my liking. Which is a little bit on the crunchy side. The food temperature was hot and not dry. Plenty moist. They seem to be doing a no bus pick up. This is even here in the middle of the afternoon. I consider that a good sign. read more

Got General Tso's chicken. Some of the chicken tasted like chicken, some of it like something else. The rice must have been Uncle Ben's, flavorless. The broccoli was literally cold. The egg roll however, was good! Staff friendly, restaurant had a smell to it like a cat litter box in dire need of changing! Sorry but overall, don't recommend. read more

Did a group order from here to-go and service was efficient and food was delicious! Our group had the honey-walnut chicken, the sesame chicken, the stir-fry with tofu, and crabrangoons. Everything was really fresh and all of the sauces were great! The only thing that was a semi-disappointment was the broccoli as a side, it wasn't seasoned but tasted very fresh. Everyone lovedddd the crabrangoons !! read more

Chicken tasted rather old, and the rice was very dry. Wasted my birthday dinner and an hour and a half drive on this place. :(

This location is fabulous!! The food is consistently good across the board of items. Great selection!

Okay two things to note! 1. The chicken & broccoli is very good (see photo). Also, if you like the thin Asian style deep fried chicken, then you will love the lemon chicken, has a good dipping sauce (made primarily from corn syrup). Additionally the egg rolls are good, but very similar to other Asian restaurants, and the same goes for the grab Rangoon's. 2. Downside, the other deep fried options are to greasy for my liking and are served with dark meat, that is a hard pass for a white meat only guy. Overall, a great place to get a family style dinner but not great for an individual order. Has lots of flavor and generous portion sizes. read more

I have been a customer for several years ordering 2-5 per month. The last three times I ordered my usual, the quality of the chicken has been terrible. The pieces have gotten smaller and of poor quality. The prices have increased and quality has gone down. Three strikes.... I'm done read more

I love chinese food... i got the schezwan veggies and they were super good. I was disappointed through because the vegetarian portion of the menu is quite small. read more

Decent food if you choose the right thing. Others are a little bland. Consistent though so if you find a good order it will be good every time. read more

Great Chinese food, especially for the price. This is the only Chinese place my parents will order from. Huge portions for great prices. Great orange chicken. Great lo mein and crab rangoons. Cute atmosphere inside. Great fresh food. read more

Cashew chicken was good, loved that they put the sauce on the side automatically. Rangoon was also in bag so it stayed crispy.

Food is always spot on. We use DoorDash to order from here often and they're the only restaurant we order from that has NEVER forgotten to send a part of an order. Everything's hot, fresh, and very flavorful. read more

My husband and I grabbed some take out from here recently. We had never been before and we really enjoyed it. I had the sweet and sour chicken with rice. I also had an order of crab Rangoon. The portions are huge and we ended up having enough for dinner as well. Overall, service was great, food was good, and we will definitely be back! read more

Fave Chinese in town. Order the Singapore Mei Fun and you won't regret it. The cashew chicken is pretty good too, as are the crab rangoons and egg rolls. read more

One of my favorite go to places for some quick Chinese food. Their crab Rangoon are my favorite in town by far. I almost always get the triple crown. It comes loaded with shrimp, chicken and beef along with plenty of vegetables. It's enough for two people or two meals for one person. The staff is great, always friendly and they get you in and out of their with your food pretty quickly considering how busy they almost always are. read more

Awesome $6 lunch specials. China King is my favorite Chinese place in Springfield. My favorites are their bourbon chicken, pineapple chicken, and their crab rangoon. read more

Excellent service every time I eat here. Order at the counter and within two minutes they have the crab rangoon at the table. A few minutes later they have the entrees delivered to the table. Food is always fresh and hot! Not the cheapest in town but worth the slightly higher price because the portions are more than enough! read more

Nice little place. Clean, and the staff is nice. It seems like all the food is a bit spicy, but not horrible. The orange chicken actually had pieces of orange in it! I will likely return when we can have a sit down meal here. read more

Service was good, but I wasn't crazy about the fried rice. Nice size portions though.

Love this places!! The service is always great, selection of food is awesome! Their cashew chicken is the absolute best!! Also I love their wontons and dumplings! read more

Awesome food...yelp menu isn't very accurate or up-to-date (IE. They DON'T have a 'spicy chicken' menu item as its listed) and caused confusion during phone order...but when I arrived at the store they re-asked for clarification and made the correct chicken dish on the spot and gave me free sodas for the family :) *plus probably the best crab ran-goons in Springfield! :D read more

I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT! I'm very picky about my Asian cuisine and I loved it! The general chicken, fried rice and crab-ragoons were very delicious. The plating was very upscale for a low-end restaurant. The people were so nice! Cons: The broccoli was undercooked and unseasoned. They were out of sweet tea. This is easily forgiven as they were EXTREMELY busy and were still able to get our food out quickly. read more

UPDATE: Their potstickers were as good as I could have hoped! The thick wrapper (handmade?) has just the right amount of chewiness, and the filling was meaty and flavorful. I declare them to be the finest potstickers in Springfield! We also tried the Singapore noodles, and they were exactly what we were hoping for - lots of flavor, shrimp and meat, really well executed. We didn't try the bourbon chicken, because frankly I knew that the sweet & sour chicken was REALLY good and I didn't want to risk it. Maybe some time when I'm less hungry/picky! PS. The prices are very reasonable for the amount of food you get. For two entrees and an appetizer, it was around 25 dollars, which was four full (FULL) meals. WORTH IT! read more

Awesome place for a quick lunch or dinner at very reasonable prices. Always busy and you see a lot of repeat customers which says it all.

After trying yet another big name, higher cost, award winning Springfield Chinese venue, I am still convinced that for the money the fresh made fare at China King beats them all. I am always amazed at what some consider great Americanized Chinese food in this town. read more

We ordered China King for lunch at work. It was delicious! The order came with everything we ordered and it was fast. I had the coconut shrimp and crab Rangoon. It arrived hot and was really great. read more

My son and I came here to try the food. We've been in Springfield for a few years and haven't had any luck finding good Chinese food. Well we walked into the restaurant and it was very nice inside. Great decor very clean and modern. They have all the condiments laid out which is a plus and you can see all the cooks and the kitchen. We ordered the General Tso chicken with Crab Rangoons. My son gave it the thumbs up so we will be back! The Crab Rangoons were also delicious.. The staff is pleasant as well. read more
