We walked in at almost 8 pm with a group of 14 teenagers and two adults. We were braced for the worst, but we got the BEST service and excellent food. They were unbelievably welcoming and kind. They took our orders right away and got straight to cooking. The food was delicious, but the best part was that while we were eating, the kitchen staff came out and chatted with us and talked to the kids in Chinese. It was awesome! Normally I don't have a problem writing a one star review if a place deserves it but this one I write with a heavy heart. We were served by the owner and chef, who was crazy funny and super attentive even though there were a lot of customers in the place. He offered a lot of helpful suggestions after listening to what we liked and didn't like. I mean it was just a pleasure to talk to the guy. The food not so much. Of our party of four only one of us really liked their order, which was the General Chicken and a side of Crab Rangoon's which were filled with generous portions of crab meat. The wife had Mongolian Beef which she said was okay but she could have done without all the gravy on it. I had the Kung Pao Chicken which I wanted mild and the other member of our party had the Szechuan Chicken which she wanted super spicy. Now there are signs all over stating they don't use MSG, so maybe adding salt was their alternative to it to try to bring out some flavor, but ugh it was a total train wreck of an attempt if that was what they were going for. My friends joke that I typically over-salt my food, like everything I eat until there are small drift piles of salt blowing across my plate, but these dishes were salted to be unpalatable. It was so bad I only was able to stand a few bites before my tongue begin to burn like I had been licking the top of a used car battery, and both of us had to push our meals away as inedible. Unfortunately this place is hit or miss. My most recent visit was a miss. The General chicken sauce tasted like it was straight out of a can. I have noticed they rotate chefs in the back. Ordered a pho Tai and pho combination to go, so, I didn't realize how small the soup portion was or the sour smell of the various meat in the pho combination until I got home. If you ever ordered pho to go from any restaurant - whenever I travel, I always have to have pho on the go - the broth is always 3/4 to full in the cylinder plastic container. This place, both broths were barely half full, and the charge was 2 to 3 dollars more than the other restaurants. The fam and I are making our way home to CO and stopped here for dinner. After reading reviews we decided it would be perf as my wife and I are vegan and our son is not. We were able to sub all proteins in menu items with tofu which allowed for a broader selection compared to some places, and our son still indulged on his beloved beef and chicken. Been a few times now. I always order the hot and sour soup. Warm, spiced, with just the right amount of heat. Don't forget to add in some crunchy noodles. They only offer white meat chicken which is always well prepared. My favorite dish so far is their general chicken. Again full of flavor with just the right amount of heat. Yet another pho that somehow completely missed the mark on the complexities that make pho broth amazing. Instead of the signature bone broth, the soup is greasy and filled with seasoning granules from whatever they use to flavor it with. Just not the traditional pho broth I crave, but definitely delicious if you're into the heavily beef forward flavor I've experienced in this region. Nothing to say about the restaurant itself, since I ordered delivery (which was correct and prompt). As awesome as it was to have a pho delivery option, I just can't seem to adjust to the Americanized flavor profile. I contemplated giving Amazin Asian a second chance before writing a review, because it probably doesn't deserve a low rating based on one dish. I ordered Pho and my friend ordered orange chicken; the pho was too sweet. I've never had sweet pho before. The noodles were all glued to each other as well, it wasn't hot enough to pull the flavor from the fresh jalapeños, but the meat was very good. I could tell just by looking that Liz's rice was cheap rice, which I hate, but she said it wasn't bad. We probably won't go back. The people were super nice! I really enjoyed interacting with them, the food was just not to my taste. We left, before ordering (three times now). There are no booths that help with acoustics. We sat down and a a loud person was preaching to her lunch date. It was not good. Love this place! I only wish they had a location on the north side of town and I keep my fingers crossed that they will have one in the future. They have wonderful food, greet service and good prices. They have the best egg rolls and crab ragoon in town and their vegetables are crisp and fresh. Love when I get beef and broccoli and the broccoli still crunches! They give good size helpings so there's usually enough for lunch the next day! Hate card board Chinese food containers? Absolutely amazing food! I've lived in Springfield for 15+ years now and I've tried just about every Chinese restaurant in Springfield. The problem with most of them is that all of the menus are standard and the food tastes about the same no matter where you go. It's hard to find something new and different. In comes Amazin Asian. I've been meaning to try this place for awhile but hadn't gotten around to it until today. My car is currently out of commission so I needed food from somewhere that delievered and Amazin Asian does that. Delivery was fast and the delivery guy was super friendly. I ordered the Western Fried Rice with Chicken and omg, the flavor was amazing. I don't know what spices/sauces they use but I just can't get over how flavorful this rice was and how tender the chicken was. The cheese on top was a very welcome addition. I had never had cheese on Fried Rice but now I just can't imagine having Fried Rice without it. A fantastic change from the norm that's for sure. My wife ordered the General Chicken and she's very picky about her General Chicken. She said this was some of the best she's had. I had a bite of it myself and it was also very flavorful with just a slight touch of spiciness. I can't attest for any of their Vietnamese menu since I haven't tried it but if it's anywhere close to as good as this Fried Rice and General Chicken then you can't go wrong. read more

This is the third time I have eaten at this restaurant on East Battlefield since arriving from Virginia a week ago. This is a "pearl" in the sea of mostly mediocre Asian restaurants in the Springfield area. The cooks are experienced in native Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Indonesian dishes... But as is the case everywhere else-they have adapted recipes to the American palate. Whatever the case, the food is stir fried just right. And their egg rolls are the best that I've eaten anywhere in the United States...no kidding-- They are fantastic. I just wished they would serve them with authentic sauces and not the standard duck sauce and hot mustard packets you see everywhere. Amazin' Asian has the best crab rangoons in Springfield! They are the only ones in town that don't use a ton of sugar in their rangoons.
