I don't know why Amazon Asian has such low stars on review. There just must be some haters out there. Kong and family do a great job! The food is always good and hot. His General chicken and Spicy chicken have won awards. His Vietnamese offerings are very good. Love the fresh Spring rolls. Everything I've had there has been good to excellent. There are a lot of better places to eat in town with similar cuisine and cheaper prices. We were excited to find an Asian restaurant relatively near us that offered delivery. Our food took an hour and a half to make it to our home. The restaurant could give me no expected delivery time at the time of purchase, or when I called to check on it an hour later. The food was just OK. Definitely not worth the wait or price! We will stick with some of our other favorites, and maybe we will find some good delivery in Springfield. read more

Pretty good food, a fusion between Chinese and Vietnamese I believe. Ate in the restaurant and had fairly good service, just a little bit of miscommunication at times but nothing serious. Got delivery and it was fast and good. The prices aren't too bad at all. I mean, I've had better. But I would eat here again if I was close by. read more

Amazin Asian is fine for what it is --- a quicky Asian carryout place. I ran in and picked up several dishes to share at an impromptu family get together. The service is really fast, but I'm pretty sure that's because nothing is prepared to order, except for maybe the egg rolls. The sweet and sour chicken was fine and the cashew chicken was okay (not anywhere near the caliber of a place like Leong's), but the won tons were awful. I think they had been fried much earlier and then re-fried when I placed the order. They were very dark brown and tasted like burned grease. The shrimp fried rice was pretty bland, but had lots of shrimp. We also had an order of vegetable lo mein and it was fine. The egg rolls were delicious. I would probably go back. read more

I've had much better. Sub-par chinese food. I did not like how big the pieces of chicken were. You literally needed a knife and fork just to get a bite of chicken. The steamed rice was dry and had an off taste. The sauce for the sesame chicken was thickish with a snot like texture. The general's was just so-so. I have made this one of my regulars. Hands down the best noodles in town. The hot sour soup is also at the top of the list. Lots of great food, but what puts it at the top is the owner Kong. Friendly guy, always happy and has a real desire to make the best food in town. He is constantly coming up with new recipes like the won tons that actually have meat in them, not the shriveled up little chewy thing like in all the other places. Lunch was very fast and potion was generous. Kung Pao Chicken was as very good and spicy. I will be back. They have daily combination specials that are priced very competitive at $7. Had them deliver to my work and they said it would take 45 minutes, and they were right on time. The delivery guy was super nice. The food was delicious. I had the sweet and sour chicken, steamed rice, a spring roll and egg drop soup. Yes, the chicken pieces are rather large, but they are still tasty and definitely worth it. I am very picky when it comes to rice, and their rice was super flavorful. The spring roll was phenomenal. The egg drop soup was mostly good. It wasn't as watery as most places which was good, but it may have been just a little too thick for my liking. Overall, good food at a good price and I'll definitely be getting more. read more

Greeted immediately as I walked in warmly and with a smile. After a long day, it was welcomed. Ordered to go the General Chicken, Egg Roll and Hot and Sour soup. The General (Tso) Chicken was really good. Pure white meat chicken cooked fresh...I don't do Chinese buffets any more. The egg roll was a little thinner than I like...but good. Why not 5 stars?? The Hot and Sour was just okay. It was a different taste than I was used to. Perhaps in Houston (Gulf Coast) its slightly different...just not my cup of "soup." Love supporting local businesses. It was our first visit tonight (a Friday) and we dined in. It's a small, cozy enough place to feel OK about wearing comfy clothes, but nice enough where you don't feel like it's just an order-and-go joint. Everything went well. The service was fast and super friendly, the place was nicely decorated and clean, the food tasted yummy and presentation was great. It was a moderately busy night and even though there was only one person covering the dining area and phones, his attitude was upbeat and genuine. The best "Authentic" chinese food resturant in Springfield. Im here visiting family and surprised to find truly authentic chinese food. The chef was friendly he came out and personally talked to the family. Their food is fresh and MSG free, the resturant is clean and everybody is friendly. I love the variety of Asian food offered at this restaurant. My husband can get Chinese and I can get Vietnamese. The quality of their chicken is outstanding. They only use white meat in their dishes so you don't get any mystery chunks of stuff. This is now our go to Asian restaurant. He gets the orange chicken and I get pho. read more

My co-workers were ordering delivery so I decided to join in since I like trying new Chinese places around Springfield. I ordered the garlic chicken and I must say this is definitely not like any other garlic chicken I've ever had. It literally had NO flavor, let alone have any kind of spice to it. And it was literally swimming in it's sauce, it looked more like a soup rather than Chinese food. The sauce was very thin and looked mostly like water. I tried one of my co-workers kung pao chicken and it had no flavor to it either, it wasn't spicy or anything, it just tasted like chicken. There were quite a bit of vegetables with the kung pao and both our portion sizes were huge but I just didn't like mine or the kung pao I tried. The rice was very mushy as if it had been overcooked so all in all I didn't end up eating much of my lunch that day. I don't think I'll ever order from here again. read more

My go to Chinese place in Springfield. Never busy in the actual place, which is a shame because the food is great. I get either sweet and sour or general. When the owner is in, (he manages several different places) he recognizes me and knows what I want, even if it's been a long time since I've been there. I never wait long for food, but I don't call for delivery, I go in the actual place. The rangoons are awesome, plenty of flavor. Egg rolls are done right as well. My girlfriend gets the lemon chicken, which always smells good. You don't have to ask for all white meat, which I find to be a plus. Food feels fresher than Panda Express. I can't recommend it enough. I go there often, and I never feel like the quality has dipped from one visit to another. Have fun parking though, the lot is full of Mercedes's and Lexus's because of the metropolitan grill next door. read more

I've only had the sweet and sour chicken meal from Amazin Asian, but it was fantastic! The chicken pieces were big and had white meat on the inside, and tasted like chicken. Most fast-food Chinese places I have tried have chicken that might be good, but it's shaped funny and doesn't really taste like chicken, and you're not really sure if it is. The fried rice looks plain because it doesn't have a ton of vegetables and grease in it, but it's very flavorful and delicious and looks like it's probably better for you. The crab rangoons were a little on the small side, but you get 2 with the meal. They were good, but I've never not liked a Chinese restaurant's crab rangoons. I forced everything down in one sitting because it was so good, but I was full half-way through. I'm a little bit smaller so I don't know if I could say their meals are huge, but they would definitely fill you up at least once. Their prices are pretty good, especially when you don't get the delivery charge (which is only $1.50 and only if you live more than 3 miles away), but still probably better than other Chinese delivery places with this. It's also very nice that they don't have a minimum purchase for delivery (unless it's very low- my meal with delivery was $8 and some change). read more
