I really really wanted to like this place since the reviews seemed good and it's close to where we live. Unfortunately the cashew chicken sauce was bland, and the lo mein was almost flavorless; even dousing it all in soy sauce did not help. I hate to be mean but this is hands down the most bland food I've ever eaten. Undercooked slivers of chicken in canned chicken gravy watered down and combined with slivers of tough Bok choy... Panda Express used to be my lowest bar for Asian food but now this place is. $50 later and I'm still as hungry as I was when I went in. Their food is pretty good. They are doing curbside and carry out only. When I go eat I don't always know where I'm going until I get there. Every time I go to Wicked Wok I'm told they want people to call ahead with their order. This is despite the fact that I walk in, place the order, and wait in my vehicle. They allow others to come in to pick up orders, but don't want someone to walk in and place an order to carry out, despite their sign stating they do carry out. I've had enough with it. Every time I get told they want me to call ahead, I'll be turning around and going elsewhere, just as I did today. read more

If you're looking for decent Chinese food in town, there are many, many options that are better. The food is meh, bland and lacking in flavor, they need to use more soy sauce and msg. You get very little rice with a combo for what it costs and the rice always seems undercooked. They give no soy sauce, duck sauce or hot mustard packets when you order out and seem reluctant to give any when you ask. They don't treat their long-standing customers well. The worst part somehow is how bad their egg rolls taste, every time I get one it tastes horrible, on several occasions I've taken a bite and spit it out because the best way to describe the taste was that of gasoline. I've stopped getting them all together. There are any number of better places in town, I urge you to avoid this one. read more

Got the Kung Pao Beef today. It is excellent. Crisp vegetables. (Who likes soggy?) a generous amount of beef and a delicious sauce. It's a spicy dish that is just right. Leaves a mild warm aftertaste that won't have you guzzling your drink. I'm getting scared. I live less than a minute from here. Hopefully I don't get fat lol! read more

This place is amazing! It takes a tiny bit longer to get your food but its totally worth it because everything is cooked fresh to order. The food is fresh and never frozen, which is a fantastic change to most Chinese places in Springfield. The wontons are the best I've ever had - it tastes like they are filled with some kind of yummy sausage. I love the curry fried rice and the yu shiang shrimp. My husband is crazy about the cashew pork. Everything we've tried has been good. The place is always super clean, too. A big plus for us is how friendly and accommodating the staff is since our son is in a wheelchair. There is plenty of room to maneuver him, and everyone was super helpful and wonderful! The food is decent. The owners, or the front desk person has to be the absolute worst customer service worker in food service. She is really a disgrace to the community. It should be a pleasure owning a business a small town. Clearly it's not for them. I love to support the businesses in the town, but this is one I'll never go to again. We have given them chance after chance for years. Their attitude never changes, 100% RUDE. They're inconsistent with their hours, aren't helpful when asked questions, curt on the phone and in person. I'm surprised they've stayed in business this long. It would serve Battlefield better to have someone who appreciated their customers, and acknowledged their role in the town as a business owner. They should take a look at how others are treated in business or move out and let someone else in! read more

The General, the Beef and Broccoli, and Kung Pao! The flavor is honestly better than almost anywhere in Springfield. Specifically, the sauce, does not have the high fructose corn syrup vibe; and that is a rarity. The sides are also fresh and tasty! read more

We loved most of the food, the cashew chicken, general chicken and sweet and sour chicken were great. The only reason I didn't give it a five was the rice. We specifically ask that the rice be fried rice and were told that the side rice is always fried, it is not. It tasted like bland plain rice, it required a lot of soy sauce! Lesson learned, when we order again, we will be sure to order entree and special fried rice dish. read more

Recently visited Wicked Wok for dinner. It was good, but fell short of 5 stars on a couple things. The General Tso chicken was not bad, but IMHO it was only okay. As it comes down to personal taste, I won't beat up on that. The crab Rangoon on the other hand was really pretty lame. Very light on filling, and a bit bland. The biggest disappointment was the "fried rice" that came with my Generals chicken. I asked if it came with fried rice or steamed rice, which the counter girl assured me was fried rice. When it arrived it looked like plain steamed rice. Nothing flavorful about it. Bland. One of the other Entrees at our table came with what I was expecting as fried rice, so I asked again: are you sure this is fried rice? And again was told that it was indeed fried rice. To their credit, the egg roll was excellent. But as a side component to the rest of the meal, it didn't save the day for me. read more

We were driving through the Springfield area on our way home to Oklahoma. This place had the best rating for a takeout restaurant and since my go-to in Clever was closed, this was my second choice since I hadn't tried it before. It was great! I got cashew and my husband got general chicken. There was a miscommunication with the front desk person about the amount of Rangoon's we ordered, and we didn't get any silverware which wouldn't be a problem for locals, but we are traveling and I should have asked for some. The man in the back didn't argue when we had to come back in because we didn't have the right amount of food, he just made it right. Thank you so much! I understand it can be frustrating to make the customer happy sometimes (woman at the front desk), but it did inspire me to write a great review! Great place to have Chinese food. Take out is also available. It is always hot and is delicious beyond compare. I expected like the friendly service. Also think price is a factor. Food at Wicked Wok is priced affordably. If compared to other restaurants in Springfield, I think it's an excellent value.
