My husband & I love ordering from here. We haven't been in the restaurant yet so I'm not sure of the ambiance there since we normally order through DoorDash. One of my favorite Chinese dishes is sweet & sour fish but they don't have it on the menu - they just have chicken & pork. They're always super accommodating to make it whenever we place the order online & write it in the notes. We also ordered the walnut shrimp & bean curd which were both flavorful. I'm a guest at the Fairfield Inn across the street and hiked 6+ miles with 1800 feet of elevation at Pinnacles today, so I didn't feel like going far for dinner and I sure am glad this place was close. Ordering online was easy, and the prices are reasonable. I ordered the chicken chow mein and mini egg rolls. Food was ready on time as promised and was hot!! The mini egg rolls are crispy and come with sweet & sour sauce for dipping. The chicken chow mein was packed into one of those little takeout-style cartons, so the portion is deceiving-- they packed a LOT in there. There was a LOT of chicken at the top and I thought woohoo, wow they're really generous with chicken!! Turns out ALL of the chicken was on top and the bottom 90% was nothing but noodles. I know chow mein is a very mild dish, but I squeezed 5 packets of soy sauce in there and it was still kinda bland. Overall-- great location if you're at the HIE or Fairfield Inn, easy to order online, food ready on time as promised, reasonable prices. read more

Ya know how they say little "hole in the wall" places are the best? This place totally fits the bill! It's a small family owned place- but boy do they have their dishes down! For all the usual dishes, we love it! Granted, we only stick with the usual stuff, chow mein, fried rice, pot stickers, lemon chicken, sweet and sour pork, war wanton soup, sesame beef, beef and broccoli, walnut prawns...etc. this place is great. Had one bad experience where delivery was late- but look, if it matters that much to you, drive the five minutes to pick it up. It's Hollister!! "The other side of town" is five minutes away! We DoorDash the food from here because it is more convenient than having to leave home. Each time we have found the food to be full of flavor. Especially the soups. One night I ordered all their soup and the family sat and ate to see which on was their favorite. Not one of us chose the same one so you'll have try it out for yourselves. OMG, if you rate this Chinese food more than 2 stars, you definitely should go get some frozen Chinese microwaveable food at the nearby Safeway. I ordered the greasy beef fried rice and honey walnut prawns. When I arrived to pick it up, I was astonished at how packed this place was. Literally, all the tables were taken and everybody was chowing down...it had to be good. Between the 2 local Chinese restaurants, this was the recommended one.....WRONG...the food was mediocre at best. The fried rice had tidbits of very salty beef. The rice tasted like it was deep fried...very greasy. The honey walnut shrimp had old stale walnuts that squished instead of crunched. The worst part is eating the leftovers...the rice became hard and oily. I gave it 2 stars because the food was ready when I arrived and the staff was very nice and happy. But seriously, they need a better cook. If the customers that gives it 3 or more stars really want sub-par Chinese food, I suggest maybe driving to Gilroy and hitting up the Panda Express. read more

Wow! I picked food up on Wednesday as the family was tired from cleaning our Mom's room whom recently passed and we would joke that Chinese food was her favorite, it wasn't but she enjoyed it anyways. I ordered the family meal for 4 and was pricier than we wanted to pay but decided to go with it in honor of my mom in-law. Today is Thursday and I am still enjoying the perfectly cut steamed veggie and the wonton soup hit all the right comfort spots and the meal itself was beautifully and lovingly made. The soups are great, from hot and sour, and sizzling rice soup. Great teriyaki chicken, chow mein (i prefer chicken), fried rice, and hunan meats (my favorite is pork). They are friendly staffs. So went here tonight to order food for takeout. Was told it would take 20-25 minutes so went and waited in my car. Went in after waiting to pick up order and found out the person that took my order ended up giving it to someone else!!!! He was trying to make excuses and the lady that helps make food was telling him that person he gave my food to only had one item. So they made everything again and ended up giving me an extra order of the crab & cheese wontons. I almost asked for an extra order of fried prawns but I didn't. My wife and I both have an inability to eat spicy food due to serious gastrointestinal issues. We recently placed an order for four items with them for delivery. We specifically asked for everything to be as mild as it can be and why. They confirmed everything was to be mild when reading back our order. When the food arrived it was so hot two bites of it made me physically ill. I warned my wife not to eat that so she tried anothe entree. It too was extremely spicy and she was unable to eat it. Later we looked on the box to discover it had spicy written on it and both meals were full of chili peppers. When we called the restaurant to tell them what had happened the person we spoke with lied and said that she looked at the receipt and it said extra hot , which it did not. She then told us that we deserved to be ill because we asked for mild then hung up on us. We will never again eat there. For your safety and health, I hope you do not either. read more

I ordered a party tray of Kung Pow chicken just for myself , I was craving Chinese so bad ! I been staying out in Hollister for the past week and noticed this place so I decided to try it out and have some food delivered. The delivery time was amazing!! I seriously thought since I ordered a party tray it was gonna take forever maybe like 30-45 minutes. By the time I got out of bed after checking all my social media sites I walked into the kitchen to get water and BAM!! cute food guy deliver was here! Amazing. Less then 20mins. Maybe even 15minutes... I'm happy about fast delivery especially when I am starving. The food was hot and just made. Tasty and delicious, I dived right in and it was very very good! :D read more

We were passing by Hollister and figured to stop by and get some Chinese food. This is the only one Siri suggested so we went for it. No hard copy menu. The menu on top is limited. The cooked food is also limited (more selections online) but they can cook to order as long as you know the typical American-Chinese food names like Mongolian Beef, which took more than half an hour including Beef Broccoli and Salt and Pepper Prawn. If you use card, they will charge you 50 cents and I paid well over $30 (FYI there is no ApplePay). We didn't check our order when we left the place and since there's no one there but us, I expect to get my orders right. On the road we noticed that they gave us Orange Chicken and not Beef Broccoli. I didn't want to go back and wait another 30+ minutes to get my Beef Broccoli so instead, I'm giving this place 2 stars for wasting my time and money. read more
