Ordered on the app last night for my husband to pick up otw home from work--it was fundraisernight!! (Received a text that our food was ready but when he got there, it wasn't--not a huge deal, we like our food freshly packed anyways...) Husband got home, I opened the bag and boxes and my order is missing the broccoli beef--I never order this and I was super excited to enjoy it--but there was an empty space there. (See Pic) I will have to say that disappointed me but the freshness of everything else (besides my crab rangoon) was REALLY GOOD. I haven't had this freshness in awhile at Panda. Worst panda I've ever been to. I never complain about bad service but this was just too unsanitary not to say anything. The girl dropped my bowl in the Beijing meat and then still tried to serve me the same meat that the bottom of the bowl touched. she never said sorry and looked at me to see if I would say anything. I didn't say anything and kept a smile thinking she would say sorry at the least! When she continued to grab the beijing I had to stop her and ask her if she can give me the pieces that the bowl didn't touch. She got mad that I asked that and just made a really ugly mean face at me and said nothing! I continued to pay and was grossed out by the food but I was so hungry and had to go to work soon. Poor service. We've been visiting this store since we moved to Hollister in 2021. Never had any special service and I'm not looking to be treated special. Today, my wife and I stopped by since we don't have time to make dinner and had to help my youngest do her school project. There's a new dish called blazing Bourbon Chicken so we are curious. The guy named Manrique is serving and I asked if I could taste the dish which is normally done or practiced at Panda Express. Manrique told me that he can not but if I am buying, he could let me taste what I bought. How stupid is that? I just bought the dish out of curiosity without tasting it. This is a shout out to Panda corporate customer service. I was in Panda using my 20% off coupon (told to download by the cashier) on an $80 order. The coupon didn't work, and the manager wouldn't honor the discount. I overheard him tell the employee basically too bad for me, even though they could have just put it in the cash register. Ordered online, online order said it should be ready in 5-10 min. Came in 20 minutes after ordering, and waited another 20 minutes (40 min total), while watching people walk in and get their order quicker. Inside is a mess, seems like none of the employees are assigned to online orders consistently and nobody is checking in on online orders. I've worked food service before and this place does not have a good system for processing online orders (or any system? Not sure). What's even the point to order online if it takes them 40 minutes to do what takes 5 minutes if you walk in? And the food always tastes like it's cooked with old, overused oil. And not a single person in there wears gloves. Not coming back, I'd rather pay more for better food and better service somewhere else. read more

Wow! Really ! So I ordered on app to pick up. I get to panda on time cashier guy asked my name I told him he checks the pick up rack and then turns to check countertop where my order was he goes and starts bagging it first two plates in one bag then he reaches and gets a second bag but some other worker tells him to go for his lunch so he tossed that bag and leaves to serve his own plate and sits to eat . Next cashier comes and asked To help me and so I told her, picking up my plate that was being bagged and pointed so she goes and finishes bagging to give them to me . The definition of insanity is essentially doing the exact same thing over and over and expecting a different result. By that assumption, I must be slightly insane for thinking this place could ever get better. Let me break it down... Food: There is never enough of it, and when there is, it's often over-cooked or worse--cold. Waiting for something to be replenished or cooked fresh can take a friggin' lifetime! Atmosphere: There is always a long line... and 85% of the staff has been consistently rude. Always quick to rush me and my family through the line without actually listening to what I'm saying... only to get upset when I ask why something was forgotten, overcharged or skipped over. The restaurant​ itself is mostly clean...but when it gets busy, expect to find food everywhere on the ground (by the tables.) Service: It is a very time-consuming process to eat there--even if your order online. You always end up waiting longer than you should for things that should have been ready ahead of time. But hey, you get what you pay for, right? (Good deal, cheap food, only slightly above average service.) All in all, this place could use a bit of a face-lift so to speak... Maybe one day someone will take note of when the high traffic hours are and be more adequately prepared to serve hot, decently portioned food. I don't usually leave reviews, but this is an exception. The employees are unorganized, never have the online order on time or never have the items that you ordered online. They can't decide which food needs to be prepared, or can't divide the team for online and in store orders. Today's experience was the worst and lead me to leave this review. I ordered my food at 7:45pm and it should be done by 7:58pm. I arrived by 8:10pm. I understand it was full, this is why I gave some extra time. I asked one of the employees for my food, she just ignored me. By 8:45pm I asked again, and my order receipt was thrown somewhere. Once she found it, her response was that she is waiting for the shrimps and the beef. When I confronted her that shrimps and beef were just added now, why the order is not ready since I'm waiting for a long time, she just said they ran out of it and I need to wait for more. Technically, I wasted an hour, they didn't even know that my order needs to be prepared and I had to wait more time. I just left the restaurant mad and didn't even bother to get food. I told the lady keep the food or do whatever you want with the order, I'm not waiting anymore. I really like Panda Express food, but this one is not seeing a cent from me again. All I want to do is eat, there's not too much variety in this town but this is ridiculous. I order angus steak and I get three pieces of meat and tons of mushrooms via DoorDash. That's not what I paid for. I used to do Bejing beef and there's either no meat just fried skins covered in sauce or pieces that's aren't cooked properly. I eat here for lunch on average of three times a week. I love to come in after a work out in the morning. I've seen the staff deal with some pretty unruly patrons during this pandemic and I admire their professionalism under such stressful times. Food is great. I love panda and was excited to see this one coming to Hollister. My first couple experiences were not good. Slow service and lack of organization. Also poorly cooked food. That was a couple years ago and I've come back every few months or so hoping for an improvement. Sorry to say this is one of the worst pandas that I've been to. Doesn't matter if there's 20 people in line or 2. Seems like they can't keep up with the entrees. The Beijing beef has a strange flavor, the orange chicken is over cooked and the fried rice is flavorless and dry. This restaurant need a good knowledgeable manager, and an experienced cook.
