REVIEWS Always looking for. A good place to try. We found this gem by looking at reviews on TripAdvisor. What a lovely place & unexpected find! It's a cozy & inviting older home that's been converted into a restaurant, with all the "feels!" We're rarely in Crestview, FL. (We'll be back more often!) Today we were on a mission to find beach chairs at Lowe's. With that mission accomplished we decided to find a quaint place to do lunch. Being a lover of good food (seriously though)... we opted to try a locally owned, mom-pop shop; let me say we were more than pleasantly impressed!!! STAFF/OWNERS To start off, we landed a phenomenal waitress, Al B (Alisa). She was polite, knowledgeable, and friendly, she walked us thru the menu and gave recommendations of local favorites. She was a pleasure and so very helpful! A HUGE BONUS... We got the feeling that all the staff was very well versed and had been working here for years! This is a credit to the owners! Good help is a credit to the people who employ them! You've done a lot right when everyone works as a team!!! LUNCH MENU They had a soup of the day, today it was roasted red bell pepper - Absolutely delish!!! I ordered the half salad/half chicken salad sandwich and a side of soup. You also get complimentary bread with oil, parm and red pepper. (Yum) Hubby orders the turkey, Gouda sandwich with fries. Let's just say, I think I got the best meal of the day!!! The apple salad was scrumptious, with homemade dressing and goat cheese - to live for!!!! They make the dressing in house! Although my Hubs really liked his food too! DESSERTS The desserts, all homemade, at this locale are one of a kind and worth the drive! We had carrot cake and red velvet cheese cake! So Stinking goood!!!!!! ATMOSPHERE The atmosphere is relaxed and homey; makes you want to come back to check-in on things and wish them well and have a bite of something yummy while you're there! read more

Food, service, workers, the owners, and the ambiance they are all amazing! We have had nothing bad from there. Deserts are to die for!

Went there with our walking ladies this morning for their brunch, it was great, relaxing service was great too. The food had a mixture of foods what I had was very good. We sat out on the covered porch, the weather was just right. read more

Wife and I went there for our 45th wedding anniversary. Had never been, but it was an amazing experience . Some of the best foods we have ever had, wife had shrimp and grits and I had pan seared salmon, both cooked to perfection. service was excellent also. Can't believe we had never tried the wild olive before, but we will certainly be regulars from now on. Do your self a favor and put The Wild Olive on your dining options. read more

Best food within 250 miles. Nothing in Destin holds a candle. The steaks, fish, pork...all fantastic. The roasted red pepper soup is delicious. Cheesecakes and Creme Brûlée are on a whole other level. Worth the drive every time, so glad we came back! read more

Very nice customer service/people. Food was good before the rodeo for all 5 of us. We got the cheese soup and used it as a dip - it was perfect. A comfortable and cozy place, a hometown feeling. read more

Food is awesome. Staff is great. It's a little pricy but we'll worth it. You can call ahead of time and make reservations.

The Best Mahi Mahi sandwich I have ever eaten: the fish was fresh, a large thick portion, seasoned well and perfectly prepared. I just had to say something. Awesome sweet fries and fresh bread too. They were very busy at lunch, and I was dining alone. They still treated me like I was special and the food was served quickly at perfect temp. If you are from around here you know this is a jewel. I am very happy to see this restaurant is still just as good as the first week they were open. Same great food and service as when the whole family is with me for dinner. The menu has some staples (pasta, steak, shrimp, homemade soup, salads) but they also keep it fresh with new things once in a while. A kids menu is also available. read more

First timer! Been eye'ing this place for a while and finally made it for lunch today (they close at 2pm). --Chicken Pesto sandwich (with fries): Delicious. Perfect blackened chicken and pesto sauce. The bread was seasoned as well. Portioning could have been better though- the meal came with only half a sandwhich but a bunch of steel cut fries. --Creme Brûlée: Delicious and creamy. The fresh strawberries and blueberries paired really well with it. ONLY NEGATIVE: Prices are a bit too high. $8-9 for a dessert item? They were good...but still just standard sizes. Esp for a casual dining place like this, wish they dropped the prices... at least on the desserts. Servers were kind, atmosphere was super cute. The outdoor seating area is a back porch with grape vines running all through out. Perfect spot to converse with friends on a nice day out. I am interested to come back for their Chicken Fettuchini and/or their Chicken & Waffles...maybe try a Vanilla bean Cheesecake too? read more

Visiting the area and looked to yelp for a great dinner spot. The staff all work together and make it a wonderful experience. Like other say, don't pass on the complementary bread with olive oil. The bread was warm and the recipe they use for the dip is amazing. I asked for recommendations on the salad and ordered the Mediterranean, which was a small upgrade ($2) and worth it. Very fresh, amazing dressing and big squares of good feta. The shrimp and grits were as great as promised with Gouda cheese and about 5 large shrimp. I can't wait to go back! Note: they do not serve alcohol but feel free to grab a bottle of wine on the way, they have wine corks and glasses. read more

It's a sad day in Crestview FL. Having dinner tonight at The Wild Olive. I have eaten here several.times before and it has always been a great experience, until tonight. I ordered the chicken parm with EASY red sauce since ALL red sauce meals are too much for me in my old age. My wife ordered the filet, medium rare with mashed potatoes. Our food came out and instantly I could tell there was too much red sauce and would not be able to eat it. The chicken was dry and almost bland. My wife's filet was almost cooked to well done. The mgr asked if everything was OK, and offered to remake the filet. The new filet came back, made to order, but the mashed potatoes were cold. I REALLY hope this isn't going to be the new norm. read more

The Wild Olive is a great neighborhood restaurant!! The Ambience is welcoming, offering both inside and outside dining. The service is attentive and top notch!! We usually go for lunch and so enjoy their wonderful salad and sandwich menu, but the evening menu is a treat!! Get the steak!! Platonic and reasonable!! The Wild Olive is one my family's favorites!! read more

Just went a few days ago for our 26th anniversary dinner before heading out of town. This is literally some of the absolute BEST food in Northwest Florida!!!! Everything is homemade and quality! We got the loaded fries for an app for the first time and WOW! The homemade fries with tons of real bacon pieces, cheese sauce, and ranch were so good words cannot describe! Then I tried the pecan crusted pork and it was beyond amazing and my man got the chicken and waffles and whatever that bourbon maple butter syrup stuff on top was just like a kiss from food heaven - the desserts are top tier and I just appreciate this hometown restaurant for making it through COVID and still serving our community amazing meals - You guys rock! read more

Adorable restaurant. Came for lunch and sat on the porch- there are lots of fans out here. The good- friendly service Delicious bread/olive oil dip served while you're waiting for food Ambiance The bad- ordered the mahi sandwich with fries. Mahi is one of my favorite fish and I never miss an opportunity to order this from a lunch menu I ordered it blackened. It wasn't really cooked blackened... the fish was ok but lacked good flavor. The bun they served it on should be changed to ciabatta or something with a little more depth. The bun was like a basic hamburger bun and got soggy easily. Overall, this was an underwhelming dish :-( That being said, I only tried one dish and I have faith that their other items might be better. read more

Best smoked ribeye sandwich you will ever eat. Customer service is phenomenal. Limited menu so you know everything is good. Their bread with the mixture of red pepper flakes, Parmesan cheese, and olive oil is incredible. read more

The Wild Olive - Smoked ribeye sandwich w/ horseradish sauce, house side salad with balsamic vinaigrette. You can't beat this combo. - Seafood Near Me - Crestview, Florida

Food is good, but too expensive, service excellent but it is almost impossible to hold a conversation with a companion without shouting, due to the noise of other conversations! The next time we ate there we asked to be seated on the outside porch and it was an "Ahh" " moment. Bliss! But what do we do when it's cold outside - why the Emerald Isle of course! read more

This is by far the best restaurant in Crestview. I would make reservations if you are going for dinner. Portions are good, food fantastic, service great! read more

The food is great! Love the bacon wrapped jalapeños! Great staff, great chef. We enjoyed our 46th anniversary celebration there.

Food excellent and service was outstanding as well. The ambiance was great and the staff were very friendly to us and our guests. Everyone wants to revisit when they're in town again. They loved the ambiance during Xmas, food, dessert and every thing. read more

Wonderful people, great food. This place is a hidden gem. I think it's the best restaurant in Crestview.

We are giving them a four star rating because A) The ambiance was very nice and inviting B) The restaurant was very clean (and so were the bathrooms, always a plus!) C) The screened in outdoor eating area was perfect and D) The Service was excellent With all of that being said, let's get to the food... I ordered the turkey, bacon & Gouda sandwich on a brioche bun. The bun was excellent, nicely toasted and soft, but the sandwich part was dry. The thick cut turkey and bacon were dried out and hard to chew. The chipotle ranch dressing helped a little, but it was super thin and runny. Taste overall was good, but it being dry and hard to chew made me say I'd never recommend it. Another person in our party ordered the cheeseburger medium rare. It came out well done and dried out. So maybe it's a cook issue. Don't know, but until we got to dessert, we were pretty sure we'd never go back. The vanilla bean cheesecake and the Creme brûlée's were AMAZING! read more

Had the ribeye steak a little salty but cooked great. The sides mashed potatoes were very good and the fresh green beans were excellent. Salad was out too long with a little dressing--could have used a lot more. The restaurant had a rustic theme but was clean and seating was spread out. Service was adequate. They do up charge when using credit card. Dinner for a steak is about $40. read more

The Wild Olive is the single only place in town that you can go to genuinely delicious food, and they are consistently delicious. A lot of food in Crestview is hit or miss depending on the so many things. But this place hits the mark every single time. The staff is great too! 10/10 would recommend. read more

Food is always amazing but there have been different times I've felt unwelcome by the way the staff treated me when I was with my children. Nice staff if you come with adults only - but not always the same when you come with kiddos. read more

Eat there all the time. The food and service is always good. The fresh bread with olive oil is excellent. The bread has a great texture, but be careful not to fill up on bread, it's very satisfying. The pork chop, the chicken parmigiana, the salmon, and the mahi are my favorites. read more

Great food and service. Whether I'm doing takeout our dining in- this is a great experience.

A bit pricey but a great place for a romantic date night. Delicious desserts. Worth the experience

Came here to celebrate my sisters birthday. Had a short wait and was able to sit at a comfortable table right out front to wait. While waiting, a gentleman came out front to bring drink menus and take our drink order while we waited. Quiet and cozy atmosphere, food was excellent, and our waiter was very friendly and outgoing. He made great selections for entrees and desserts. read more

The chef made food, the service, and the ambiance speak of excellence. The dessert price is quite a bit heavy for the amount of serving. Other than that, I recommend it. read more

I loved it. I get the same thing. The salmon ceasar salad. You have to tell them you want fresh salad and how you want your salmon cooked. The shrimp and grits isn't it. The grits are runny. I never in my life seen runny grits. The staff is great. This place is a calm family place. A must visit place read more
