I made an appointment at Platinum with a stylist I was assured was experienced with Balayage color…read more Armed with several pictures, I had an extensive consultation with the stylist prior to the service. When I left, not only was I unhappy with the color, but the cut was botched as well. I contacted the salon repeatedly and was able to speak with the owner a couple days later. She offered an appointment with the same stylist, which I was not willing return to, or to wait a few weeks until she had availability that wouldn't interfere with my work schedule for color correction. Due to a quickly upcoming bachelorette party and wedding, neither were acceptable options. Instead, an experienced stylist at a salon in Chicago spent over 4 hours correcting the color and cut. I spent more than double the original amount paid to Platinum to have the color and cut corrected. Despite the inconvenience of driving to Chicago, spending a Sunday afternoon at a salon as well as the additional costs, the owner of Platinum refused to offer any type of refund or compensation. Instead, she offered a partial credit for future service with an expiration date. I highly recommend everyone steer clear of Platinum.
