If I could give this place zero stars, I would. I've honestly never written a review before but felt the need to write one about this establishment.
My regular nail salon was closed for some reason so I looked up other salons in my area and came across Beauty Nails. The reviews were great so I figured I'd try it out. Trying a new place is always questionable so I had my reservations but trusted the reviews. Long story short, this was by FAR the worst place I've ever gone. The ladies were rude and unfriendly, they sat lazily when I entered, said a quick hello, asked what I wanted and literally said nothing else to me the entire time I was there. I am a super friendly person, to everyone, absolutely everyone, so naturally I was kind to them but, despite my numerous attempts to engage with them, they just dismissed me like I didn't matter. They spoke plenty amongst themselves and laughed a lot but said nothing to me. I don't even think they made eye contact with me! To clarify, I didn't expect them to engage in a full-on conversation with me the entire time I was there, but they never said ANYTHING. Even when they asked questions about my nails, I woukd answer, and no response. It was kind of crazy and made me feel incredibly unwelcome and as if I was a complete bother.
The other thing (and the reason I ultimately decided to write this review) was that the place was so dirty. Absolutely gross. I wanted to leave so many times but I didn't want to cause any conflict. The bathroom was dirty, the toilet was disgusting, especially around the bottom, it was brown. The walls were dirty everywhere, it was obvious they hadn't deep cleaned in a very long time. In fact, it was obvious they hadn't made much attempt to clean at all recently. They eventually switched me from the foot spa chair to the nail station chair and I had to rest my forearms on their sticky, gunky, filthy foam pad while I got my nails done. It was so bad! I wanted to take a picture but couldn't do so without being noticed. The worst part of all was that they don't use bags in their foot spas and clean them by hand (which would be fine if they actually cleaned them properly) but I am almost CERTAIN she used the same brush to clean the tub as she used on my feet!! I was seriously in disbelief the entire time I was there. The fact that they just hung around doing nothing and didn't clean or try to engage with me at all whatsoever is just bad business. I would never treat people the way they treated me and I would never conduct business in such a unclean manner. By the time I was done, I wanted to just run out of there and I ALWAYS tip, always, but I could not bring myself to leave them a single dollar more than what they charged me for the services because, on top of the uncleanliness, they barely gave me a pedicure or manicure. They put no effort into what they were doing and you could tell. They painted my nails and toes, essentially, that's it. She rubbed my legs a little with the stuff and cut my nails but then it was done. I didn't even get any lotion on my hands at the end! Instead, she offered some to me at the checkout stand as if it (or I) was an afterthought.
Anyway, the one thing I can say is that my nails and toes don't look terrible but the colors didn't match like they were supposed to. The colors are somewhat similar I guess but not at all what they showed me as I was getting. I was trying to match the powder with the gel color so I know it's not exact but it was pretty off.
Ultimately, I will never to back to this place and should have left the moment I entered. I really hope someone reads this and makes some changes because, as of right now, it's no wonder I was the ONLY person there the entire time. It appears no one comes back. read more
