Have been going to Cool Nails since I moved here 1 1/2 years ago. Called today to make a manicure and pedicure appointment with a certain nail tech. The owner answered the phone and said she takes whoever is first available. So I asked for a different nail tech and she said the same thing. They always have tried to push me on Jefferson, for a pedicure, and he is very rude and does a lousy job. Kim cut me twice on the same appointment with the edge of an emery board on two separate fingers. She said it was because I pulled away. Well, yes I pulled away. It hurt like a paper cut. Came in with a bridal party & relieved the best service. Appointment was at 1:00 and they immediately got started on everyone. The staff was so friendly and took great care of my nails. They even offered me a pillow for my chair while getting my nails done because I'm 8 months pregnant & was a little uncomfortable. Would definitely recommend and come back! Absolutely fantastic service here! We got in before our appointment was even scheduled. They had already had our pedicures set up too! The people are very friendly, great at their jobs, and priced it very fairly! Colors were great to choose from and very in season as well (they were unboxing new polishes while we were there)! The pedicure spa upgrades were also worth the money as well. This was one of the best nail salons I have been to. Just had a pedicure done- still skin on the bottom of my feet. I asked for it to be fixed and was told "it probably wouldn't come off" and that's why it was there. I will not be coming back. The whole point of a pedicure is for smooth feet not rough. read more

Do not go here if you care about cleanliness. I got toe nail fungus for the first time in my life after getting a pedicure here. The inside of the place is very nice. However, I went there to get nails for prom and was asking for a simple ombré on my toes with glitter. They kept trying to get me to change my color in which I was fine with. So I changed my color and when they did the ombré they did like a French tip but the top was glitter and the tip was red. They kept pushing me to do glitter but I knew it was possible with normal nail polish.They didn't understand anything I was asking or saying. They then called me very picky when all I was doing was asking.I watched several people walk out because of the way they were treating me. I was being very nice and kept my cool. But they were very disrespectful. I don't recommend going. read more

I had my appointment at 1 today, waited until 1:30 which was okay. I showed the nail technician what I wanted. I had one acrylic that had broken off. The tip she replaced was crooked but asking for a coffin shape, thought she would file it to look okay. She started putting the acrylic on and not only are some much thinner than others, but majority of them are thicker on one side more than the other. I had to ask her to add acrylic to spaces near my cuticles that she completely missed. After she applied the base coat of nail polish she proceeded to tell me that not only did they have the glitter in my picture, but she also could not do the design for me, and neither could anyone else in the shop. I asked her why she didn't tell me that would be an issue when I sat down in her chair and showed her, multiple times, what I wanted. To top it all off she was rough, unfriendly (didn't say a word to me). $40 for the worst fill and customer service I've ever encountered. I've included a picture of what I requested. read more

The inside is beautiful but the nail technicians were rude. I tried to explain something to them and they argued with me (more than one of them) and then without asking started trying to put acrylic on my nails even though I had just said no. They were not pleasant at all and multiple times bounced between myself and another customer. I also witnessed them going between clients without washing their hands. That's so disgusting. Please beware when going here and advocate for yourself and your sanitary rights. read more

Not bad, if you're going to go request the guy he's funny and out of the three of us that went did the best job. I asked for matte and was left with one not matte which looks weird. The girls did not talk at all and when they did I could hardly understand them, the guy was very funny and communicative. My nails are a quick fix I just have to put a clear coat over them but Other than that they are even and well done. read more

I have been coming here on and off for years. I love the people and the Quality behind their work. What I can't stand is they changed to by appointment only, which I can totally understand why. But if you are going to have me make an appointment I shouldn't have to sit for over an hour just to have my nails done if I called ahead and made an appointment. Visited early Jan. 2014 Pro: I made an appointment over the phone and they were on time. Cons: It was chilly and couldn't understand the nail tech very poor English. She never pushed back my cuticle's so I would need a fill way sooner then you should need to. My nails lasted two weeks maybe! I'm a stay at home mom they should've lasted WAY longer then that before falling off a fill wouldn't have even been worth it since they were popping off. They don't follow the prices listed on the board. About 10min. into my appointment another nail tech came in they spoke to one another in their language then the other nail tech lady sat right next to the one doing my nails and made phone calls about how they didn't get one type of product in for a customer and doing all her phone calls for her appointment right next to me and such. I wont be coming back to their place ever! read more

It was a clean and friendly facility. Although my hands and toes look lovely I am disappointed in some areas and don't think I will come back. I had a mani/pedi with a friend and it took over two hours for mine alone. I spent 95$ and it was not a deluxe manicure. When I went to pay they told me I had to use the ATM and pay cash. Maybe this place is fine for the average person (if you're OK with not being able to communicate well in English), but they rudely dismissed by disabled sister when I took her there this week, refusing to give her a pedicure, because she has trouble holding her big toes still. I have taken her for pedicures at other establishments and had no trouble - it just takes a little patience and kindness. read more

I made an appointment for a manicure and pedicure. They were running over a half hour late. (This seems to be the trend every time I go). They also talk across the salon in their native language and then seem to be upset when a customer misses a simple direction from them, like put your foot back in the water. Although there are many COVID-19 safety measures in place the person working on my feet went to eat a snack while giving me a pedicure without changing his gloves or washing his hands. Additionally, he did not wear his mask correctly even though he was given many reminders by customers. In fact I told him that his mask was falling down and he looked at me but did not fix it. Have been to Cool Nails many times over the last few years for pedicures and was always happy with the result. Unfortunately today will be my last visit. During my pedicure, my nail technician was yelling at another employee while she was doing the pedicure and I could tell she was angry. She ended up shaving off some skin on my toe- probably because it seemed as if she was too busy being angry to pay attention to what she was doing. I couldn't wait to get home to get some Neosporin and a bandaid on it. Wish I could have had another good experience, but this will be my last. read more

I've only been to this nail salon twice and each time the man who did my gel nail set (fake nails) made sure the nail done well and looked as natural as fake nails can look. His honesty and professional opinion on colors I picked out were spot on too to ensure I was100% satisfied walking out. Which I totally was! I still really enjoy them (5 days later) but unfortunately the gel polish that was used is already chipping off which is what happened the last time as well. The nail itself is still perfectly intact, but the polish isn't which is a problem I've only experienced with this salon. I have yet to call (plan on doing it today) and request a new polish put on because it hasn't even been a week. Will update review to let know about customer service:) read more

I thought, oh, I'll give them another chance, but am not going to waste more than 15 minutes. Sure enough, 15 minutes go by and I ask how long I will have to wait and I'm told just 5 more minutes. We (my daughters and I) just went to Cool Nails yesterday, this was our second time. They are doing a FABULOUS remodel! It is looking REALLY nice! I have to say, we don't really get our nails done very often, it's a real treat when we do. The first time we got manicures. I have to say it was WELL DONE! (We had it done a bit later somewhere else and the quality was no where NEAR what we got at Cool Nails). Yesterday we decided to get pedicures done. I was disappointed that we did not have a technician for each of us at the same time (I called ahead for an appointment). So as a result, it took longer and I feel that my oldest daughter's pedicure was rushed. My toes hurt even today, it was a bit rough and I am pretty tough. Although the end result was good. I guess where I am most disappointed is in the hospitality we were given while we were there. I just kinda felt like assembly line type of service where there was not much interaction or personal touches. If you like the "move 'em in move 'em out" kinda service this will be just right. They do quality work. Maybe if we were "regulars" our treatment would have been more personable. They should have things a bit more fresh in the greeting area even with the construction, but over all it was beautiful. If this review seems conflicted, it is just reflecting my emotions. read more

Save yourself pain and frustration and find somewhere else to go. I came here about a month ago before vacation. Disappointing to say the very least. Never had I ever been here prior. Nor will I return. The man who did my pedicure nicked my toe twice and made me bleed. On vacation my toe kept getting more and more sore. I came home and went to a podiatrist and was told my toenail has to be removed because the nail salon gave me a FUNGAL INFECTION. I have tried calling the manager and conveniently she is never in and the Same woman that told me the manager wasn't in pretended to be her later that same day. I will be stopping in and showing them my toe. And giving them the bill for the nail removal. And DEFINITELY will be calling the health department. Obviously they do not sterilize as per the law. My advice... Go somewhere else. This place is repulsive at best. read more
