I was seen back in May for highlights, cut, and style. Christy Patterson did my hair. While shampooing, Christy had me sit up and liquid spilled down my shirt. Christy told me at the end of the appointment not to worry and that it was water. I paid and left for home. Two days later, I started to do laundry and could see that my shirt was completely ruined by bleach. Had I known my shirt was ruined, I would not have tipped and would have requested a discount in the amount of a replacement item. However, I believed Christy and paid in full at the time of service. I contacted Christy when I realized my item was ruined. I was in tears because this shirt had emotional significance to me and was a limited edition item. I told Christy I had researched the cost of a replacement. I emailed her photos demonstrating evidence of the damage and cost of replacement. I asked for a refund that could cover the cost of a replacement, as I simply wanted to replace what was lost. Christy refused stating my "shirt is not worth that much." I told her it is objectively worth what it is selling for, but she disagreed and attempted to refund me a small amount that would not cover the cost of a replacement or even cover the cost of the shirt + tip. I did not accept the small partial refund as I decided to file a chargeback with my credit card company. Over the course of the last two months, they determined they cannot help since items damaged as part of a service is a matter to be handled directly with the merchant or in a court of law. I'm tired and don't have the money to take anyone to court so I'm stuck with the loss of an item that was meaningful to me and no refund. I don't recommend coming here if you expect fair customer service or value your belongings. read more

(Before we start I'd like to state that I am a poc with blasian background and wavy/curly hair) I will give her props, I came in with a bandana and a big insecurity and she worked her magic. She gave me the honest truth on some of the ideas I was throwing out and ultimately helped me pick what was going to be best for my hair to get its curl back. Some plus' is that there was complete honesty all throughout the process. Now here is the honest truth and the reasons why I decided to take away a star. While talking about hairstyles I was showing her some alternative or asian inspired haircuts she flat out told me no and that they were ugly and wouldn't fit me. Which is fair to say, but maybe in a nicer tone next time. On top of that I was telling her about an experience I had with my bangs. The previous girl cut them far too short and when it dried and curled back up they were mini bangs. She couldn't understand that concept at all so I had to explain to her the weight of my hair and the more you cut; the lighter it gets...more curl. Well she understood but still cut it too short. I stepped outside the salon and the second my curls came in the bangs were too short. Im not too upset about it honestly because they'll grow into what I'm looking for. The only part that irritated me slightly is after she cut them she cautioned me that she wasnt a curly hairstylist and that wasn't her profession. Which spooked me. And honestly from that point on I shouldve known. For me personally she saved my hair and for that I can respect it and like this salon. But I cant say I'll be a regular or returning, I'll have to find a curly hair stylist. read more

Finding a hair stylist when you move to a new area can be somewhat of a daunting task but I'm so glad I stumbled upon this salon. I love the location and that it's a smaller more intimate space. Christy trimmed and shaped my hair and I've never felt better. It was such a wonderful experience. I can't wait to come back for future color and cuts. read more

I don't even know where to start when talking about this place. This place just opened up and I was so excited to book my appointment. I've been going to Riley for a long time now and she NEVER disappoints. I'll show her a picture of what I'm kinda going for and she exceeds my expectations. The inside is freaking adorable and they even sell cute items!! When I go next time I'm definitely getting a spray tan bc who doesn't like to stay tan? this place is amazing! i'm not from the area, but I came down to visit family and wanted to try out a local hair salon. White cactus had availability at the perfect time for me and I'm so glad they did! I asked for full highlights and a trim and Jessica did a fantastic job. She is one of the few stylists I've seen be able to foil my hair in a way that gave perfect coverage of my natural dark brown roots. Definitely check this place out, the ladies here are friendly, the inside is so cute and decorated great, and it's very clean. You won't be disappointed! read more
