I got together with a friend one Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed a lovely classic English breakfast. It came with 2 scones, clotted cream, locally made jams, and my own beautiful tea pot filled with whatever my heart desired. They have so many options, but I went with the classic Creme of Earl Grey. There is an entire wall of different teas to choose from. The owner is incredibly nice and very welcoming. We had lots of questions before we arrived and she was happy to answer every single one. My friend is gluten free so they ensured they had some GF scones for her meal. They came with a coconut "clotted cream" which was quite tasty. They serve plant based milks with their teas. They have many different types of tea services and events you can enjoy. From outdoor tea ceremonies, Reiki and Cup Tossing classes to clean eating seminars, there is something for everyone. I very highly recommend the Tea Lounge. This is a great spot to get together with friends (or just yourself!) and enjoy the warmth of friendship, life, and tea alike.

Updated review: The Alley's Royal Number 9 Milk Tea with…read moretapioca/Deerioca/pearls is a 5/5. Rich milk tea flavour with a hint of blueberry for a dose of freshness. Pearls are chewy and just sweet enough. I get it with zero ice (for maximal milk tea--it's still cold without ice). I do wish they had a greater selection of non-milk-based or non-milk tea flavours to choose from. I recommend against their Crunchy Brown Sugar Milk Tea for several reasons: 1) It only comes in one size, which is their small size 2) This small drink costs $6.75 3) You cannot customize the sweetness level of the drink 4) It comes with a strange icy foam layer on top

The ingredients are high quality, and the flavours are thoughtfully developed. Pink lemonades are often too sweet, but this one was perfectly balanced. The lemon square was nicely tart, the quiche had generous chunks of feta, and the muffin had that rich, buttery flavour you only get from homemade baked goods. Service was bubbly and helpful, and the interior was quaint. There's just enough seating outside, with a setup that lets you choose between sun or shade. Special mention for offering the London Fog iced; my first time trying it, and it is now my new go-to. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality. During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they're super attentive and nice which is a big plus. In terms of their food, their cruffins are TO DIE FOR - I absolutely love them to death. They rotate their flavours and every single one I've had has been phenomenal. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it's worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee. Overall though, this place is an amazing place to sit down, eat, read, study, and catch up with friends! I definitely will be coming back and trying more of their items :)

I'd rate Plaza Sushi London 4 out of 5 stars, based on two separate visits…read more Our first visit was an easy 5/5. Even before getting to the food, the interior absolutely impressed us. We loved the curtain at the entrance, the sleek black decor, the cherry blossom tree, and the glowing moon feature. The space felt comfortable, clean, and more romantic than we expected. Service was warm and attentive as well. The food matched the ambiance. Their approach seems to lean toward a creative Japanese-Korean fusion, and everything we tried was delicious. I ordered the Salmon Lover Combo, and it was a lot of sushi--in the best way. The fish was fresh, and the addition of sprouts on top was a fun, unexpected touch. The salmon pizza was another standout: generous in portion and full of flavour--crispy, saucy, and fresh. My partner's ramen was hearty and comforting, and the cheese wontons we shared were excellent. We especially enjoyed the thinly sliced chillies on top, which added a playful kick. Our second visit, however, was more of a 3/5 experience. I ordered the katsu, and while the flavour was good, the chef placed the salad directly on top of the cutlet, which made it turn watery by the end. It was still a pleasant meal overall, just not as memorable or polished as our first time.
