We both got the mint chocolate chip. They had amazing dipped waffle cones that we decided to get too since we don't have things like this often. We got a single scoop and it truly was a single scoop, not overly generous but what we asked for. The price was a bit high since the cone was extra. They put a cute little chocolate on top of the ice cream too which was a nice touch. The flavour was good but not exceptional and we both agreed that we didn't need to come back there for ice cream but it was a nice one-time treat.

Great place to try some unique and fresh fruity tea based bubble teas!…read more I tried their Passion fruit green tea with pearls and asked for it with 30% sugar. It was refreshing, and I could taste the flavours of green tea, fresh lime, and fresh passion fruit. There were lots of fresh passion fruit seeds on the bottom. Be warned that the drink was minimally sweet and had a slight bitter taste (probably from the lime rind), but I enjoyed it. The pearls were soft, chewy and slightly sweet--yummy but not mind blowing. I'd definitely come back to try some of their other drinks on their large menu, perhaps one of their drinks that come in the light bulb shaped cups. FYI, my drink cost $8, which is representative of most of their drinks, and a bit steep.

Updated review: The Alley's Royal Number 9 Milk Tea with…read moretapioca/Deerioca/pearls is a 5/5. Rich milk tea flavour with a hint of blueberry for a dose of freshness. Pearls are chewy and just sweet enough. I get it with zero ice (for maximal milk tea--it's still cold without ice). I do wish they had a greater selection of non-milk-based or non-milk tea flavours to choose from. I recommend against their Crunchy Brown Sugar Milk Tea for several reasons: 1) It only comes in one size, which is their small size 2) This small drink costs $6.75 3) You cannot customize the sweetness level of the drink 4) It comes with a strange icy foam layer on top

Delicious fruit slushes! I've only had two of their drinks, but so far, so yum…read more I had both the papaya slush with pearls (boba) and the mango diamond slush with pearls, and with both drinks, you can see them use frozen chunks of real fruit with just a touch of water, which I'm guessing is sweetened. I asked for my drink to be "less sweet". Their mango diamond slush even has chunks of fresh mango at the bottom--so good. Their pearls are chewy and sweet, just the way I like 'em. I can't really speak to their other drinks. I know they have teas and smoothies, but I would definitely come here for their fruit slushes, and I would definitely ask for pearls!

Staff are warm and friendly. Looks like I ended up with a bigger cup in the end for my tea. The smaller is what I wanted though. As such the tea was weak and didn't have much flavor. I did a double take on the label, it's Bigelow. The peppermint mocha latte wasn't bad.
