Adorable tea sets to go with our classic English breakfast
    Megan V.

What an absolute GEM! From the relaxed yet exotic decor and cozy seating, the Tea Lounge is a tea lover's heaven in London Ontario. I got together with a friend one Sunday afternoon and we enjoyed a lovely classic English breakfast. It came with 2 scones, clotted cream, locally made jams, and my own beautiful tea pot filled with whatever my heart desired. They have so many options, but I went with the classic Creme of Earl Grey. There is an entire wall of different teas to choose from. The owner is incredibly nice and very welcoming. We had lots of questions before we arrived and she was happy to answer every single one. My friend is gluten free so they ensured they had some GF scones for her meal. They came with a coconut "clotted cream" which was quite tasty. They serve plant based milks with their teas. They have many different types of tea services and events you can enjoy. From outdoor tea ceremonies, Reiki and Cup Tossing classes to clean eating seminars, there is something for everyone. I very highly recommend the Tea Lounge. This is a great spot to get together with friends (or just yourself!) and enjoy the warmth of friendship, life, and tea alike.

This little cafe uses its space very well. The walls are lined with colourful teas and teapots,…read morewith service at the very back. I started off with a kyoto fog, which was a matcha green tea, while my boyfriend got a mocha macchiato. We came here to study, but the tables are quite tiny, so we ended up moving to a long table against the wall for some more room. There is free wifi as well, so feel free to ask for that. All the employees are extremely kind. The place stayed pretty busy throughout lunch hours. We ended up ordering crepes as a snack. The batter is a little crispier than I'm used to, and I would've loved to see some savoury options, but the banana crepe was delicious with triple chocolate and peanut butter ice cream and a generous amount of whip cream. I look forward to seeing how this shop develops, as it has a great deal of potential.

Having been serving their tea at my work for over three years now I'm familiar with the quality of…read moretheir tea, but sadly had yet to actually pop into their shop. Now that they've changed over to a cafe style themselves and since I was watching a friend's cats in the neighbourhood it was the perfect excuse to pop on in. The narrow space is lined on one side with a wooden counter and a row of stools while the other has shelves lined with ready to go packaged tea in what seems like an endless variety. The narrow space reminded me strangely of record stores of yesteryear. Yes, I'm aware vinyl is back and trendy once more but this is something only us old folks will likely get a vibe of. Anyways I knew that I wanted a black tea as that was the variety that I was currently out of stock at home. With a taste profile in mind I was greeted shortly after entering and told the young woman what I was looking for, she introduced me to a few I hadn't had before but once she hit me with the maple I was sold! It was exactly the thing I was looking for. She also informed me they made a gelato out of it. Umm...what? HELLO!! So of course I had to get that too and let me tell you I could have cried it was that good! I took my purchases to go as well as a lovely Iced Thai tea, for those who have never had it you must like a strong black tea flavour to fully enjoy it (which I do!) Guess my only con was while trying to enjoy my gelato on their patio before heading off I was sort of sketched out by some of surrounding going-ons (so not their fault!). That said it was still worth the visit and I will be back to try the crepes which several people were ordering as I was there and looked amazing... I'll reserve the last star for that to see if they are as good as they looked.

Stopped by for a driving break in London…read more Grabbed a small green tea and a large peppermint mocha latte with oat milk. Comes with two shots of espresso only. C$11.30, about $8.12 or so. Staff are warm and friendly. Looks like I ended up with a bigger cup in the end for my tea. The smaller is what I wanted though. As such the tea was weak and didn't have much flavor. I did a double take on the label, it's Bigelow. The peppermint mocha latte wasn't bad.

The name caught my eye at first because I thought it was Eritrean and my spidey senses were spot on. For anyone who claims to know anything about coffee, you know that Eritreans have a whole ceremony dedicated to this process. I had high hopes and I was not disappointed! I ordered a flat white with no sugar, so I could really taste the quality of the coffee. My drink was smooth, delicious, and sweet. I loved the coffee so much I ended up buying a bag of the same roast to take home. A family-owned business and I was greeted by the owner when I walked in. They're so nice here! There's plenty of seating to do some work, read or catch up with friends. The only thing I'd improve is getting some wifi set up. They also have sandwiches, food, and desserts which I didn't end up getting a chance to try but the options are there. Can't wait to go back!

The ingredients are high quality, and the flavours are thoughtfully developed. Pink lemonades are often too sweet, but this one was perfectly balanced. The lemon square was nicely tart, the quiche had generous chunks of feta, and the muffin had that rich, buttery flavour you only get from homemade baked goods. Service was bubbly and helpful, and the interior was quaint. There's just enough seating outside, with a setup that lets you choose between sun or shade. Special mention for offering the London Fog iced; my first time trying it, and it is now my new go-to. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality. Easily the best coffee shop I've tried in London so far.

On top of that, requesting light milk doesn't seem to resonate with the server or change the outcome of the drink. We like the outside patio but it's usually just pestering with bees bc of their open lid garbage can sitting directly in the middle of the patio. So although I want to give this place a good review and rating, it seems quite difficult to do so. P.S. why do they serve jamaican patties?
