During peak times, it may be difficult to find a seat but they do open up fairly quickly. The service here is amazing, they're super attentive and nice which is a big plus. Admittedly, difficult to eat which the sugar coating on the croissant mixed with the custard inside but still so so good that it's worth the mess. I do wish it was served warmed which would take it to the next level! The sandwiches are surprisingly good as well. My favourite is the ham and Swiss. It is very filling and I love how much they pack into the sandwich (especially how much Dijon they put in it hehe). In terms of the coffee, it was decent. I was expecting more bold flavours to come out and taste the richness but unfortunately I could not. Maybe I had too high of expectations for the coffee after tasting the pastries and food but regardless, it was still decent coffee. It is a bright and spacious coffee house, obviously very popular with the Western University students. They also have sandwiches, which I did not try, but they have a good selection. B served me, and she was friendly and efficient. They make their own doughnuts and loaves. I got an apple doughnut. It was filled with apple filling, some cinnamon icing on top, and it was fresh and not heavy. As a tourist, I appreciated not feeling rushed. Staff are warm and friendly. Looks like I ended up with a bigger cup in the end for my tea. The smaller is what I wanted though. As such the tea was weak and didn't have much flavor. I did a double take on the label, it's Bigelow. The peppermint mocha latte wasn't bad.

Prices felt a tad high, maybe capitalizing on that novelty. The complementary crackers they gave while we waited for our food were really good, and could be refilled for free. The staff were nice, although it felt like they lacked a bit in experience. When we arrived, it took between 5-10 minutes before a hostess came to the front and talked to us. She nicely told us that we'd have to wait around 20 minutes for a table, but then didn't take our names nor our number. We could only wait in the lobby, and hope that the hostess remembered the right order of people that arrived. Once seated, we realized the AC was very strong and that we were quite cold, to a degree that halfway into our meal, we started looking forward to leaving just because of the temperature. The inside was also extremely loud, so much so it was sometimes hard to understand my girlfriend sitting across from me. This probably had less to do we the overall volume of the diners, and more with the acoustics of the place. Once finished, it took a few tries before we were able to grab our waitress attention. These are all small nitty things, but I do think they add up overall. All these details will hopefully be ironed out once the restaurant is a bit more established, and I hope that all will remain is the good food, friendly staff and beautiful interior.
