    Assorted holiday donuts

Great study spot and beautiful donuts, although they all kinda tasted the same. Very delicious donut, but they all have the same base.

I'm a tried and true old south resident and generally loyal to the coffee shops of the neighbourhood. I had seen the Instagram posts enough times to decide that boxcar donuts were worth trying out. I get that COVID is a hard time for all of us. I really do. But when you advertise curbside pickup and advise people to call upon arrival, then you should probably make an effort to help them. Two trips in a row now we have called and been told "someone will come out to get your order number". We've waited 20 minutes and this time around 15 minutes and then had to get out of the car and force our order number on someone after getting sick watching the staff help walk up people as they saunter up and entirely ignore all the parked cars waiting to be served. Good donuts are good donuts, but bad customer service is bad customer service. This process just simply isn't worth the hassle. If you're on foot and in the area, it's worth checking out. But don't bother with the order online curbside pickup system. It doesn't work. Donuts - 4.5 Service - 1.5 Solid 3 stars over all

iced triple caramel latte, churro donut & peacan spice bar. I am unsure what exact coffee we ordered to the right.

my boyfriend & I were visiting london. we had some spare time before we had to duck out for an appointment. I thought I would go onto instagram & search london, ontario. I knew I would see all the beautifully spots to take photos & of course, places to eat. one of the drinks I had saw (it was seasonal) pulled me in, then I saw they make gourmet-ish donuts. I believe they have a new assortment each day. very interesting flavours. for what we spent & what we had drank, or eaten wasn't worth the money. the drink I had was very bitter, also my boyfriend couldn't finish the coffee & he is a coffee addict. the donut was good, it was light. the perfect amount of sweetness. overall a very zen café feeling.

This was on my list of places to try and I so luckily stumbled by it on my morning walk before work. As soon as I stepped in, I was in immediate awe of how well put together this shop was I didn't expect to find such a cute and quaint place in London! And thus, a new love between this shop and I was born. I had to come back. I was greeted with many friendly faces, pastries beckoning my name, and paired with a fantastic recommendation - a white chocolate blackberry mocha, 1/2 sweet to suite my taste. Good wifi for me to get my work grind on as well.

We consistently order Boxcar Donuts from here every week. And every week they deliver great quality to us. There are many donut and deserts shops around London but I base my review not only on quality and quantity but also the staff. Recently we had a small issue with our order and they delivered back to us and made it up to us ten fold. As a customer and small business owner I appreciate the service and respect they gave us in the situation. It's the small things that a business can do correct something that creates a long lasting customer and a great relationship. Thank you Boxcar and Commonwealth for your high quality of product, service and kindness. We are customers for life!

Cool new coffee shop in London!! Cool, aesthetic decor and vibe. Tables are small, but seating is nice, with large windows looking over Richmond St. Great for catching up with friends or doing a bit of work! WiFi available is from Roli Poli next door currently. We tried the iced mocha and the nitro coffee on tap, both were delicious! The iced mocha is a little sweet but it was my first time trying the nitro coffee (cold brew infused with nitrogen gas), and felt light and airy. They source their coffee from 49th parallel and fratello, and have a small selection of packaged baked goods as well. A little on the pricier end compared to the rest of London but with the limited number of cafes in the city I'm not complaining!

Banana cream pie, charity donut, apple fritter

I came to Commonwealth for Boxcar Donuts located inside the cafe and I was thoroughly impressed by the quality and taste of the donuts. We got the charity donut which was basically vanilla and sprinkles, banana cream pie, and the apple fritter. One thing I did note is that I couldn't find any of the prices of the donuts anywhere... I'm not sure if I am blind or... but the total of the three donuts came to $9 which isn't terrible! I honestly loved all three (two + fritter) donuts equally. The texture was a little doughy and very moist, similar to Krispy Kreme without the extremely sweet glaze. The apple fritter had chunks of fresh apple in it making it super moist and delicious. I kept the charity donut in the fridge for a couple days and it still tasted so good after heating it up. 12/10 would recommend these donuts!!!

The ingredients are high quality, and the flavours are thoughtfully developed. Pink lemonades are often too sweet, but this one was perfectly balanced. The lemon square was nicely tart, the quiche had generous chunks of feta, and the muffin had that rich, buttery flavour you only get from homemade baked goods. Service was bubbly and helpful, and the interior was quaint. There's just enough seating outside, with a setup that lets you choose between sun or shade. Special mention for offering the London Fog iced; my first time trying it, and it is now my new go-to. Prices were surprisingly reasonable considering the quality. Easily the best coffee shop I've tried in London so far.

On top of that, requesting light milk doesn't seem to resonate with the server or change the outcome of the drink. We like the outside patio but it's usually just pestering with bees bc of their open lid garbage can sitting directly in the middle of the patio. So although I want to give this place a good review and rating, it seems quite difficult to do so. P.S. why do they serve jamaican patties?

So one rainy…read moreafternoon we parked across the street hopped over some road construction and blew thru the doors. The first impression of décor and display, it is clean, intentional, thoughtful and cozy. We perused the menu and I decided on the fig and cheese croissant, accompanied by an espresso martini. We found our seats at a table and I could not take my eyes off the artistic desserts on display. One in particular was a tree ornament, made of cake, it was shiny and beautiful, almost too pretty too eat. Almost. My only regret is that I didn't enjoy one, but I was too full after lunch. Our meals were delivered to our table and even though I wasn't very hungry when we arrived, the look and smell of the food fueled my appetite. My croissant creation was filled with fresh ingredients and the decadent combination of savory and sweet hit the spot. The espresso martini was wonderful, even my picky husband liked it. To our delight, we had the opportunity to meet the owners, a husband and wife team. Both very stylish, with warm smiles and welcoming conversation. The wife is the pastry chef, I had to wonder if she ever had time to sleep considering the array of beautiful desserts on display and what it must take to perfect them, individually. We look forward to returning on our next visit to London hopefully during the warmer months to enjoy their patio, and THIS time, dessert first! And maybe second! Now that we are back home in Los Angeles, I find myself wishing we had a Happiness Café. I was in Beverly Hills yesterday at the Rodeo Collection and I visited a café with hopes that it might compare, but it was missing the warmth and artistry of Happiness Café.

It's in the Old East Village, past Adelaide St, and they're really revitalizing this area and I think it's wonderful, this establishment is located in an old warehouse, which was turned into Fire Roasted and the Old East Grocer. I came this afternoon for a Yelp event and I brought my mom. We parked in the back, since there wasn't any parking on the road, which was fine, you just have to pay to park. We walked into the place and Fire Roasted is on the left and the grocers is straight ahead. Smaller café, but there were plenty of tables and chairs available for our small event! I had ordered two small coffees for my mother and myself and we tried the bagel bombs they had, jalapeno, and garlic & bacon, both of which were delicious. I believe all the food items are outsourced, but they are delicious nonetheless. The actual Roasting plant is in the back of the building, I took a walk down to see what it looked like, and it was really interesting to see how they do it. This is such a unique building, and how they've renovated it to help revitalize the whole east end is amazing, bringing in the local business to help this area thrive again. I'll definitely be sure to come back, the ambience is wonderful, and the coffee is delicious.
