Huzzah! I am so happy to be the first to review this brand new coffee stop in London, ON! There is just so much awesomeness happening here that I wanted so badly to run home and write about it this week as fast as I could! First let's talk about their aesthetics. Walking in you're greeted with a modern style that borrows from the buildings historic bones. There is exposed brick along one entire side, mismatched hardwood floors that somehow has the look of being worn in, plenty of comfortable seating AND wrap around high chair seating along the window ledges. I was totally impressed with their bean to cup offering! What that means is that the owner orders his beans raw straight from suppliers in their countries of origin and roasts his own beans for the coffee you enjoy when you visit! And what an assortment of unique beverages they offer here, I was enticed by a unique latte offering called "The Black & Cream" which was pulled espresso, 10% cream and Blackberry syrup! You'd think something like blackberry syrup would over power the espresso, instead, it acted as a slight aromatic that provided all the sweetness you would want from adding a sugar or two on your own (even then it wasn't overly sweet). I need to find out how to make this myself ASAP! Their love of the bean extended beyond their carefully crafted brews, and I was astounded to discover that they make all their own chocolate in house in their tiny chocolate kitchen on the other side of the show (where additional seating can be found). Each cinder block of chocolate behind their glass show case is equally taken straight from the bean and made into bars! Incredible! They freely use their chocolate in many of their offerings, and I believe that event the pumpkin-chocolate loaf I bought used their own chocolate in it! I want them to open up a location in the GTA because London is too far for me to travel in the morning for an awesome cafe serving some of the best lattes in London... and further.

I've snagged a coffee from their booth at the market a few times, but I can't say that I'm a big fan. I'm really weird about coffee, though. I tend to drink tea over coffee, but sometimes the coffee monster takes over. I know they offer several blends, but I keep picking one that I find too acidic/bitter and only excessive amounts of cream and sugar make it drinkable. I will say the staff is incredibly friendly and kind, which is lovely. And locally made is always a big plus.

They also have a few beers on tap

Snobby staff, and mediocre food. I much preferred the one in Wortley, but it disappeared.

Very good. Good coffee, good baked goods, pleasant service. Expensive, but not surprising as they do advertise as Fair Trade.

It's in the Old East Village, past Adelaide St, and they're really revitalizing this area and I think it's wonderful, this establishment is located in an old warehouse, which was turned into Fire Roasted and the Old East Grocer. I came this afternoon for a Yelp event and I brought my mom. We parked in the back, since there wasn't any parking on the road, which was fine, you just have to pay to park. We walked into the place and Fire Roasted is on the left and the grocers is straight ahead. Smaller café, but there were plenty of tables and chairs available for our small event! I had ordered two small coffees for my mother and myself and we tried the bagel bombs they had, jalapeno, and garlic & bacon, both of which were delicious. I believe all the food items are outsourced, but they are delicious nonetheless. The actual Roasting plant is in the back of the building, I took a walk down to see what it looked like, and it was really interesting to see how they do it. This is such a unique building, and how they've renovated it to help revitalize the whole east end is amazing, bringing in the local business to help this area thrive again. I'll definitely be sure to come back, the ambience is wonderful, and the coffee is delicious.

As we walked in, I noticed the open concept and minimal decor and fell in love with it! We were greeted by both the employees working right away and I must say, the customer service was perhaps the best part of the entire experience. We were never rushed to order as they gave us plenty of time to debate the menu and when it came time to order, the gentleman was very thorough and helpful with the sizes of drinks, explaining the milk alternatives which are free of charge, order was clarified to ensure it was correct - all in all, you could feel he took his time to get things right for us. When our iced matcha beverages were handed off, he realized he didn't let us know they come Una's a default and there, he offered simple syrup or vanilla syrup of our choosing since we do prefer our matcha sweetened. After tasting, we told him two pumps wasn't sweet enough and he kindly added more syrup for us. I personally ordered the seasonal white chocolate matcha as a hot beverage which was tasty but a little too sweet - I would request for half sweet next time. I also got the sea salt chocolate chip cookie as I couldn't resist (it looked so good in the pastry display!) It turned out to be absolutely delicious - the edges being the best part. My mom said it paired well with her Americano which was made with their Heritage blend. Speaking of which, before my mom ordered her coffee, she was offered to try their brew before buying which was really helpful as it ended up being too acidic for her. The Heritage blend was much more her preference with the nutty notes. All in all, a nice place to study and/or grab a coffee and snack to go! I'd highly recommend anyone to visit if in the area.

Kintore's bricks and mortar store opened only in January, when lo-and-behold, COVID19 hit, and they had to close! It was very nice inside, inviting. The staff (owner?) was knowledgeable and friendly, and knows most of his customers. They offer brewed coffee in mild, medium, and strong, and they offer whole beans by the pound. Behind the cash, there's an area where they roast the beans if you happen to catch them doing so; we did not. There's a section in front of the cash, near the back of the shop and restaurant (where there would normally be seating and tables) with shelving displaying work by local artists and a jeweler. They also sell coffee travel mugs, hats, and tee-shirts with their logo on them. I would definitely go back, when ever I might find myself back in their neighbourhood. I recommend a visit.
