Charcoal maple lemonade
Bon D.

Let's hear it for the ladies of Rebel Remedy!! It's a scary thing to branch out and scarier too to be fighting for coffee room in the downtown core but they are doing it right by bringing in my biased fave: Pilot Coffee Roasters (bias because I work for Locomotive Espresso of course which serves it also). But this is more than coffee. It's a take-out haven with some great fresh eats, some original pressed juices and a turmeric & pear kombucha that though bit vinegary for my taste buds was on point with it's bubble factor! As a few reviews have said including Lincoln's they are working some kinks out. But given this is their first week open that is both to be expected and understood. There are lots of things when opening a cafe you can troubleshoot before open and many things that you can not. They did their due diligence and it shows in their passion and respect for the products they serve. The wide door to the kitchen shows you they've got nothing to hide and take pride in making their juices, kombucha and food in house which is re-flexed in the pricing. Honestly if you want to pay less I get it... and there are plenty of those type of places around. That said I didn't try my hand at any coffee because I'd just come from work and was still buzzing. But given they have it and I live near by I will definitely be in for some soon. I have my charcoal lemonade sweetened with maple syrup called Sunday Morning waiting for exactly that so I can't speak to it yet, but I would say give them a shot London.

Finally made it down this afternoon for a coffee this afternoon and it looks like this place is going to be pretty sweet. I use the future tense here only because it appears there are still a few kinks that have to be worked out. For example, there was a blender issue this afternoon which meant a number of items weren't available. Of course, I was there for coffee so it was not an issue for me. The place is sparsley decorated but looks really cool. There is no seating - so it appears you'll be taking your remedies on the road. They offer breakfasts, sandwiches, salads, bone broth soups, cold-pressed juice, espresso drinks, blended tonics, desserts, and kombucha. I would be remiss if I didn't mention it is on the pricey side. For example my americano (large) ran me $4.50. A wrap is $9 and a salad is $12 if you need a couple of more examples. My americano was really tasty but maybe a little cooler than I would have liked. Not warm or even warm temperature - actually cool. That being said, the service was friendly, the place looks great and I have high hopes for this place - looks like a real treasure in the making!

Crispy and not over fried... spatzle was light and perfect pan fried off. Simpley lovely. And I want to comment that they do a fantastic job washing their beer glasses (and I assume other things). You can tell a clean glass as the bubbles in your beer will not stick to the side of the glass. Not a glass withing my sight had bubbles sticking! Well done! Looking forward to my next visit!

These wings that were recommended were baked and not fried. As one previous reviewer stated, it's hard to keep sauce on naked wings. I went with KLB Raspberry Wheat as a beverage. Although it was in a can, it was pretty good. For the wings, I honestly cant remember what sauce I got. I guess that shows how memorable it was. So, yeah. They were just a basic plain chicken wing. I did opt for some dessert, as I am one to not turn down a tiramisu. Now, this, was excellent. Top notch! On a side note, a co-worker was sitting next to me, and he got the meatloaf and said it was excellent. Maybe I should have gotten that? Nah, I am very particular to meatloaf. But anyway, I would probably go back.

I had the classic breakfast which was so, so good and I really like that their home fries come mixed with yams and potatoes. It seemed as though the daily specials are available until they sell out; perhaps a regular diner could confirm this. They looked good, but we were late, so we settled for pickings from the standard menu. Options include soups, salads ($4.65-$10), sandwiches and burgers ($9.50-$13), lunch bowls ($11-12.50) and all-day breakfast (actually just breakfast and lunch, so it's a pretty short day!). The beverage selection is extensive, including coffee, tea, smoothies, sodas that I haven't seen elsewhere in London, iced coffee, juices and more. All of the coffee and tea selections were under $5. There is a self-serve water station which is a nice touch; probably easier on staff, too. I appreciated their attempts to avoid single-use utensils and dinnerware. The only disposable waste were the paper napkins and the receipt. Food came out quickly and it really hit the spot. Good-sized portions were tasty and as described. Come out and support a business that supports the community!

We waited about 15 - 20 minutes before we even got coffee, because the waitress said she didn't see us, despite passing us a number of times. When we were ordering breakfast, she said we could use the buffet, which would be quicker. We did, however, the food did not stay hot very long and cost $4.00 more, than eating off the menu. Tonight, however was a different story. We had a fantastic meal which was served really hot and the waitress, Rebecca was so very friendly. There is a limited menu but the food is good.

I imagine it gets missed because its not in the lobby but its worth the visit, at least for breakfast. Plenty of seating and tons of tables. There's also a bar right when you walk in. Good selection of pastries, fruit, cereal and yogurt. Definitely a must for breakfast.
