The only word of warning I have for brides is to have an approach to tipping in mind before you purchase your dress. We had a unique circumstance as we decided to conduct a small private ceremony in 2020 and host our larger wedding ceremony in 2021 due to the government mandates around hosting larger gatherings during the pandemic. Ali provided her expertise during both of our wedding ceremonies, flawlessly helping us change venues, conducting all of the necessary vendor conversations and making design recommendations to bring the Disney fairytale wedding of my dreams to life! This is a hot venue so we did have to book in January 2022 for our September 2023 wedding. Cheyenne…read morewas on top of all the details and made me feel secure throughout the planning process about the status of our event. Although there were still a lot of pieces we had to coordinate ourselves, Cheyenne was regularly checking in, staying up to date on our plans, and giving helpful recommendations as we went along. Our only two bumps we hit were with the timeline for our day and the ballroom itself. When booking the event our ceremony was booked for 5pm-6pm and our reception was booked for 7pm-12am. When booking I had asked what would happen with the hour in between and was told it would be a cocktail hour so I thought nothing of it. When we were about a month out from the event Cheyenne reached out to let us know that it was a mistake and asked if we wanted to bump our reception up. Since we had already printed and sent invitation showing the end time as midnight we were not wanting to do this. Thankfully, Cheyenne and the event team were willing to work with us to make it right and extended our reception to be 6pm-12am at no additional cost to us. The other bump was that in the year and a half between booking the venue and our event, renovations were done to The Crystal that we were not notified of. I discovered them when we went for our food tasting and we saw the room for the first time since booking. The room is almost fully mirrored and they had applied an antique glass effect to them that I really disliked. There wasn't anything we could do about this with the event being less than 2 months out and the other reception spaces being booked. This was disappointing, but ultimately on the day of just didn't matter at all. I only wish we had been given a heads up at the time of renovations so that we could have pivoted plans to a space that was more our aesthetic and vibe. Our ceremony was held on The Lawn at Hotel Covington. I can't say for certain, but I think there were at least two other weddings happening at the venue on our date. Initially this made me nervous, but you could hardly tell. Our party wasn't interrupted at all! The Lawn is absolutely stunning and was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony! It was also a fun bonus that my room in the hotel overlooked The Lawn. As I was getting ready throughout the day I could look out and see the florists progress, I could see our guests arrive, and I could watch my husband process down the aisle with his parents. I'll also note that the hotel is pet friendly which was amazing! We had our dog in our wedding and she was able to stay overnight with us. It was super convenient to have her participate in our ceremony, and then to be able to drop her off up in our hotel room before heading over to the reception! Our reception was in The Crystal Ballroom. It was nice to be right on the first floor and the space comfortably held our ~150 guest wedding with room to spare! I only wish the tables had been more spread out and spread further back towards the entrance of the room. They felt very cramped together which seemed unnecessary given all the space that was open at the end of the room. The price tag looks steep at first glance, it ended up being on par with other more venues we looked at once you factored in caterer, bar services, decor rentals, tables/chairs, and linens. I highly recommend for couples looking to have a smoother planning experience with less moving parts from outside vendors.

It…read morewas a gorgeous Spring morning, and once arriving at St Joe Cemetery, my daughter looked around and said, "We need to get some flowers to perk things up a bit." Driving over, I had noticed a floral shop right down the street, and around the corner, so that is where we headed. Petals and Glass has a small and unassuming storefront on W. 8th Street in western Cincinnati. The storefront can fool you, because it has a lot of stuff in the window and looks a bit cluttered. This is deceiving because the building is so deep, it allows them the space to process all of their orders. Often, we talk about "going/shopping local". This place is a locally owned florist shop, struggling to keep a foothold against the big supermarket chains. We asked for a nice spree of flowers to take back. The owner came out with a nice bouquet and a free bottle of water to fill the metal vase at the gravesite...for $10 bucks. We then chatted a bit longer. I was so impressed with their amicable service that I set up an account to handle all of our out of town floral needs (the occasional funeral, get well flowers, or graduation needs). They can ship flowers anywhere in the U.S. If you get a chance, try out this local, neighborhood committed, full service floral business. They do great work!

I contacted this company around January of 2025. Justin replied with simple questions and in return I answered them. He then asked me for a few dates and times that will work to meet in person to go over details. My husband and I drove down to meet him on a Sunday around 9am as planned. No one was there. About 20 minutes go by and another guy shows up and calls him for us. Justin arrives about 20 minutes later. We went over all the basics: chairs, linens, etc. The meeting seemed rushed but I figured we had more time and this at least gave us an idea. My husband and I also specifically told him that my future mother in law was calling all of my vendors and asking questions and trying to make changes and to NOT let her get involved. What does he do? Email me a few days later with her email attached and listing ALL of the changes she wanted to make. I replied without her attached and reminding him that I wished to not have her attached or involved. He then sends ANOTHER email with her attached to it. I called him and he said she persisted on being involved and paying for it. I said I did not feel comfortable with this and that we would be paying for it. He follows up with an email a few days later stating that she wants to make the payments but will not pay for the restroom trailer. I immediately sent the payment for that and agreed to let her pay but not make changes. A few weeks go by and by then my now husband had a talk with his mother over this. She stated that Justin told her we showed up unannounced without an appointment that day and said a lot of negative things about us...? I have the emails stating the communication. He also said he would call my band to see if they would need a stage for the event in which he never did. Thankfully I hired a wedding coordinator shortly after who has worked with him in the past. At this point I let her handle and communicate with him. BUT two weeks leading up to the wedding I receive an email from advantage saying linens were never ordered. They also stated that my future mother in law set a BUDGET on this whole thing that she went over. Explains why she was cutting items out of the original plan. I was then stuck with a $417 dollar bill that I was not expecting. I called in the middle of the week before my wedding checking in on details and payments. They said they planned on reaching out that day. They never did. That Friday I am at a wedding in Columbus and Justin is BLOWING my phone up. He then starts sending demanding and nasty email for last minute details. It was very unprofessional to say the least. Him and my day of coordinator start sending aggressive emails back and forth. The day before my wedding his team still have not come and taken the chairs down from the wedding the weekend before and leaving the owners of the venue unable to set up my hay barrels and other decorations that could have been done. I met with the guy in charge of bringing all of the items on the check list and he was missing a handful of Items. I never got the linens for the high top bar tables OR the 4 high top tables we discussed. There were just 3 high tops that were already at the venue. I'm almost certain I paid for a few things I was never given but at that point I was so checked out and over working with them. Maybe the reason why so many people should not have been involved. They also did not provide chair take down. I had to clean and stack the next morning after my wedding. If you are able to find another company please save yourself the time and the headache so you have more time to focus on your special day and not all of the nonsense this company brought me.

I truly can't say enough good things about Justin & his team at Advantage Tent. As a bride, I was…read morenervous about so many details, but from the very beginning, I felt completely taken care of. The tent was absolutely beautiful and fit our space perfectly, but what made the biggest difference was working with Justin. Everything was planned out on paper, including where things were going to be plugged in. This made things less stressful when it was time to finalize our guest count, and even became helpful when I was meeting with my other vendors. I was able to show my DJ and cater on paper with the drone CAD maps he had created were they were going to be setup, where they needed to access the property, and where their power was comming from. On Friday the week before the wedding we finalized the guest count and delivery details. From that phone conversation he updated the contract, layouts and delviery notes. He explained we had all weekend before to review everything, and then on Monday "week of the wedding" we would have once final conversation about the layout approval and weather options "sidewalls, and heaters". I felt like he was reading my mind because when he sent over the new layouts with our final guest count on Friday the week before he also created a blank layout just incase something major needed to be changed. When we decided to move where the head table was going to be, I was able to draw-in on the Blank CAD where I wanted stuff to go. I sent that over to him early in the morning Sunday the week before my wedding. He must have read my 3AM email in real time because 30 minutes later I received a new final layout with the changes I made from the drawing. On Monday week of the wedding we talked once last time about adding sides on some of the tent just in case of weather, and then asked if we could pay his staff to come out on Sunday morning after the wedding to breakdown chairs and help with cleanup. Our flight was leaving Sunday night so we didn't want to stress about getting everything ready for his team to pickup on Monday. That Sunday morning two employees showed up to breakdown chairs, remove trash, plus they help put things away in our storage trailer , the guys were so great we tipped them an extra $200, this was money well spent! Our wedding day turned out better than we ever imagined, and so many of our guests commented on how stunning everything looked. I'm so grateful to Justin and his team at Advantage. We would recommend them to any bride looking for a team they can truly trust.
