This is a hot venue so we did have to book in January 2022 for our September 2023 wedding. Cheyenne was on top of all the details and made me feel secure throughout the planning process about the status of our event. Although there were still a lot of pieces we had to coordinate ourselves, Cheyenne was regularly checking in, staying up to date on our plans, and giving helpful recommendations as we went along. Our only two bumps we hit were with the timeline for our day and the ballroom itself. When booking the event our ceremony was booked for 5pm-6pm and our reception was booked for 7pm-12am. When booking I had asked what would happen with the hour in between and was told it would be a cocktail hour so I thought nothing of it. When we were about a month out from the event Cheyenne reached out to let us know that it was a mistake and asked if we wanted to bump our reception up. Since we had already printed and sent invitation showing the end time as midnight we were not wanting to do this. Thankfully, Cheyenne and the event team were willing to work with us to make it right and extended our reception to be 6pm-12am at no additional cost to us. The other bump was that in the year and a half between booking the venue and our event, renovations were done to The Crystal that we were not notified of. I discovered them when we went for our food tasting and we saw the room for the first time since booking. The room is almost fully mirrored and they had applied an antique glass effect to them that I really disliked. There wasn't anything we could do about this with the event being less than 2 months out and the other reception spaces being booked. This was disappointing, but ultimately on the day of just didn't matter at all. I only wish we had been given a heads up at the time of renovations so that we could have pivoted plans to a space that was more our aesthetic and vibe. Our ceremony was held on The Lawn at Hotel Covington. I can't say for certain, but I think there were at least two other weddings happening at the venue on our date. Initially this made me nervous, but you could hardly tell. Our party wasn't interrupted at all! The Lawn is absolutely stunning and was the perfect backdrop for our ceremony! It was also a fun bonus that my room in the hotel overlooked The Lawn. As I was getting ready throughout the day I could look out and see the florists progress, I could see our guests arrive, and I could watch my husband process down the aisle with his parents. I'll also note that the hotel is pet friendly which was amazing! We had our dog in our wedding and she was able to stay overnight with us. It was super convenient to have her participate in our ceremony, and then to be able to drop her off up in our hotel room before heading over to the reception! Our reception was in The Crystal Ballroom. It was nice to be right on the first floor and the space comfortably held our ~150 guest wedding with room to spare! I only wish the tables had been more spread out and spread further back towards the entrance of the room. They felt very cramped together which seemed unnecessary given all the space that was open at the end of the room. The price tag looks steep at first glance, it ended up being on par with other more venues we looked at once you factored in caterer, bar services, decor rentals, tables/chairs, and linens. We are SO glad that we hosted our ceremony and reception at The Madison! Our ceremony was in The Terrace and our reception was in The Emerald Ballroom. What we loved the most about working with The Madison is how much stress they took off of the wedding planning process! We worked with Zoe to plan the details leading up to our wedding, and she was so helpful throughout the entire process! She helped us sign up for the Taste and Toast where we got to select items for our menu, she answered all of my questions via email, and she helped us at our details appointment confirm all that we had planned and think of new items that we needed to plan before the big day! When the wedding finally rolled around, it was so incredible to sit back and let their team take care of most of the work! We were able to select items from their linens and decor and then add on our own decor to personalize the environment. We didn't even have to set foot in the reception space until we were walking in for our entrance since they set up the entire room for us! Finally, Patty was our weekend coordinator, and she was absolutely amazing! She walked us through the rehearsal, and she was there every step of the way on the wedding day! Ugh! So disappointed that I am leaving this type of review. I'll begin by acknowledging the positives. The place is aesthetically beautiful! When we visited it we fell in love! The employees at Hotel Covington that were working the bar and cafe were AWESOME! So friendly and helpful! We were so excited to rent the space for our son's Rehearsal dinner. We met with Riley and absolutely adored her. The dinner and dessert was very good! Now, it goes downhill...... When I arrived, I sought out the Banquet Captain who I was told was there to work with me and assist in hosting our evening. I introduced myself and did not receive a hello but just a question as to how many people were attending. When I told her that we had 33 she responded that Riley had told her 34 so there would be an empty seat. I let it go (although it looked a bit bad/sad to have an empty place setting) and asked if she could direct our guests to the coat rack so I could set out the place settings. She REFUSED!!! I admit to getting a bit flustered and just walked away. We had to get our drinks from the makeshift bar that had two bartenders. The feedback I received from our guests was that they were rude as well. I can't say that surprises me due to the attitude of the Captain and obvious trickle down effect. We were to have use of the flat screen tv for a surprise video visit but the Captain said she had no clue what we were talking about, and again threw Riley under the bus; therefore the surprise video never happened. BEYOND UPSET!! Dinner was served and our water glasses became empty. I asked the Captain about refills for water and she said we had to walk to the bar and get them refilled on our own. By now I had about had it with her rudeness and asked her to have the servers fill pitchers of water and refill the empty glasses. She agreed but yikes! I emailed Riley to tell her about our positives and our disappointment in the poor service and I received a minimal apology but a lot of explanations. I wished her the best of luck because with this Captain at the helm my negative review will be one of many to come. So please, please, please take my review into consideration before renting this space. For the amount of money that you will pay you will most definitely feel disappointment!! read more

I cannot say enough positive things about our wedding day! From the first time I visited to packing up the car, I was extremely pleased! Working with Zoe at the Madison was a pleasure. She was always quick to respond and went above and beyond to answer any and all inquiries. She even found pictures from past ceremonies when I wanted to see the pillars in use. She is phenomenal. I loved that I was able to decide how much I wanted to do for decor and such. I got to do just the things I wanted like the dessert table and the guestbook table. Everything else was taken care of and it was stunning. Tracey was my day of person and she was also amazing. She was so charismatic and completely on top of things. She worked so hard and it wouldn't have run as smoothly without her. It was like having a super organized cousin help run the show! The food was awesome. I don't even care for ham and I loved that ham. All of my guests enjoyed the food! A couple staff members were newer and we're taking plates a bit too quickly. They also took artificial flowers out of vases when I think they should've been left in but that is my only area for improvement! Our bartender was also cute as a button and did a great job. Great Venue for Wedding Receptions/Ceremonies! I am a local wedding photographer, so I am at more venues than most. I have shot weddings at both Madison North and South. First off, as a photographer, I really like the cool details in both buildings. The Grand Ballroom is gorgeous - love the staircase. Madison South has exposed brick walls and big mirrors. Just lots of great opportunities for photos in the venues (and even the surrounding area outside). Also, the food is very good - better than many venues/caterers. Another plus - you can't hear the music from other weddings! I've been at some venues where the wedding "next door" was drowning out our DJ - this is really a problem at some venues. Not a problem here. Every time I've been there, the staff has been professional with good service. In summary - I would definitely recommend The Madison to couples looking for a reception venue with some character and lots of pluses. It has a lot to offer, and they do a fabulous job! read more

So I entered the Madison with a couple drinks I had purchased from another place outside and was immediately yelled at and berated by the incredibly rude woman working the front desk on the night of my brother's wedding. I get that there are rules and I broke one, but some courtesy and politeness goes a long way with me. My family spent a great deal of money to hold this wedding here and this woman screaming at me that I can't drink them, leave with them, or do anything else in the rudest, nastiest voice possible tone of voice. Not what I expect from a service industry professional. As long as this woman works there the Madison will not be seeing a dime from me, my family or anybody that knows me ever again. Upon speaking with Brittney I discovered that in order for there to be an aisle I could not have more than 200 people. So I cut my guest list so I could accomodate for the aisle. Mind you, I paid for food and drinks for 250 people and there was no refund for having less people come even if so far in advance (over a year) I knew less would be coming. Brittney and I spoke on the phone and thru emails and she responded in a timely manner. Later, I was assigned to Jessica. She responded to emails promptly and always had answers to my inquiries and a few suggestions/recommendations on where I could get decor. ANOTHER issue with the aisle came up. Jessica said that I could only have the aisle if I had 170 guests after speaking with the operations director. WOW so now I am cutting back from 225 guests to 200 to 170 with no refund for food and drinks for less guests, when I was originally told I would have an aisle. The other option was to walk from along the wall on the far side of the room. A bride imagines herself walking down the aisle not walking against a wall. I called the Madison and spoke with Amanda and explained the aisle situation. She put me on hold and spoke to the operations director. She then told me I could have 180 guests and an aisle if we put the buffet on the dance floor. Why didn't Jessica have this idea for me? I wrote up an extensive list of where I wanted decor to EXACTLY be for the day of. ALOT of these items were not where they were supposed to be. For instance my guest book and advice cards were placed OUTSIDE of the room and only a few people signed it; I believe because of this location. A WHOLE table was placed outside of the room that had decor and information etc. I said for the table to be inside the room. If that was not possible why didn't they tell me beforehand? I gave the detailed list to Jessica on 7/27 that should have been more than enough time to review it. All the guests said they had a lovely time and the staff was great EXCEPT I had 3 guests tell me they heard the DOC complain that the ceremony was starting late. It did start late but the guests should not be hearing about the DOC complaining ( I can't remember his name) During the rehearsal he seemed very standoffish and indifferent to the job. I do know we tipped him nicely and regret it after guests saying they heard him complain. There WERE so many discounts offered AFTER I signed my contract. All I can say is wow. This place looked wonderful when we arrived. Their prices on liquor were more than acceptable for the quality they served. The food that was served was amazing. I think the broccoli was over cooked but hey 9/10 things prepared amazingly is pretty good in my book. Besides the broccoli, they wouldn't allow me to have a bourbon neat(it had to have ice in it) and the prime rib only came in medium well. 3 pretty small things, for the food because it's buffet style. We had our wedding ceremony and reception at the Madison (The Loft and the Crystal Ballroom, respectively) on June 20 and we were so pleased with our choice! As a bride who was planning long-distance, our coordinator, Brittney, just made things so easy and the fact that the Madison is all-inclusive made our planning stress free. Brittney was always available via phone or email to answer questions and give suggestions. Because we live out of town and were never in Covington for one of the Madison's tastings, we were able to set up a private tasting and we even did our final planning meeting over the phone. We got so many compliments on our wedding - from the service, to the food, to just the overall look of both spaces, all of our guests had a wonderful time. The staff did such a good job taking care of my husband and I as well. They made sure we ate, kept our drinks full, and bagged up a slice of each layer of our cake so we could take it home with us. My one complaint is that I was told we could get into the reception room the day of the wedding, so I assumed the morning would be fine. After hauling all of the items over that I had wanted to set up myself, we learned there was an event taking place in the room that afternoon and we could not go in until later in the afternoon. This threw a kink in our day-of timeline, though luckily our amazing wedding party came through and took care of the set up. I was especially surprised by this because we were required to bring in our table linens and any other items the Madison staff would be setting up an entire week before the wedding, as we were told we were the next event in that room and they'd be setting up as soon as that weekend's event was over. I went in to tour the space with my fiancé, mother and fiancé's mother. We were looking forward to talking to the representative as we have attended multiple receptions in the space. While she, Candice, was very informative and knowledgeable about the offerings and space she came across as very impersonal and almost rude. We all walked out thinking she either sized us up thinking we wouldn't have the budget for the venue or she was just trying to get through as many meetings as possible in a day. Going in this in my mind was where I wanted to host my event, regardless of price. I get this is a business meeting but it is also a wedding and we want the service we get to treat this just a personal as it is for us! My husband and I would 100% recommend the Madison for a wedding reception. Ours was held in the Emerald Ballroom. We live out of state, and Nicole Miller was so helpful with everything. She immediately responded to all of our emails throughout the planning process (even sometimes with an "out of office" message on). On the day of our wedding, we each had a person making sure we had a drink in hand, enough to eat, etc. They even personally served our parents and had a 6-pack of IPAs for my husband behind the bar. However, I feel that The Madison as a whole treats brides like it is to their advantage to have a wedding there. I never really felt like a customer, even though I spent more than enough money to host my wedding. For the night of the wedding, Tracy, made the event worthwhile. She was in charge of the day and did a phenomenal job. She made sure that all of my vendors were in line and everything was going according to scheduled plans. She let everyone know that this is my day and it's going to run like how I want it to. We always had a drink in our hands. She is an absolute sweetheart and made the wedding day less stressful. The Madison was extremely accommodating to our needs. They were able to work with our budget to help make my dreams come true. They were helpful every step of the process making sure they had every detail that I wanted for the reception. They also worked with all the vendors to coordinate set up and drop off times so that I wouldn't have to worry about it the day of the wedding. Then, I was the photographer for a wedding there a few weeks ago, and the room was absolutely tiny. Maybe this is the difference between The Madison and The Madison South? South is much smaller? I was suppose to get married this November. However, with the craziness of covid going on, mother in law in the ICU & now a long rehabilitation center, all the Madison was worried about was money. They emailed me a few times asking for the remaining $500 we owed, however we could not have the amount of guest we were paying for because of Covid guidelines. We were told none of our money can be returned to us, even with the pandemic and a family emergency. All and all, they only care about the money and not if the guest or future event holders are pleased. Although my wedding is cancelled, and were not getting the money paid returned, I'm fortunate we won't have to deal with the Madison for an event and we can go elsewhere. read more

Last Saturday we attended my niece's wedding reception in the emerald room; same room my daughter had her reception in 5 years ago. Upon arrival the seating chart showed us at table 21. We searched the room and found the table numbers stopped at 20. We asked one of the servers the location of table 21. He said there wasn't a table 21 and immediately disappeared. We then asked several other servers the same question. Finally one server came out with a table and slammed it open like we were inconveniencing him; customer service at its finest. The salad lacked dressing and the rest of the food was mediocre at best. I ordered a tanqueray and tonic at the bar. The bartender poured from a tanqueray bottle but after one drink I could tell it was NOT tanqueray. It was definitely some cheap gin, calvert or gordons. My review is from a vendor standpoint. I was at this location as a hired photographer for a wedding. The place was beautiful to start, tons of areas for photos and the staff was extremely accommodating to me, which rarely happens since vendors are often looked down on as "the help" and not a guest. I wish I grabbed her name, but she assisted the Graham wedding on 3/18/2017... she was lovely. Anything I asked for or asked about she was able to help with, on top of doing her 100 other tasks that day. She was accommodating when I asked to move things for photos, and I moved the back when finished.. t was a perfect wedding. At the time of the wedding I was shooting, another one was getting started. The staff did an excellent job on "crowd" control. This venue had three different areas that I could see for weddings, all equally as beautiful. The exposed brick, clean common areas, and tasteful decor makes this a great spot for any themed wedding or colors. Overall staff is great, venue is BEAUTIFUL, and location is perfect as well. We stayed at a hotel by the river and our drive was on five minutes. I hope to do another weddings here one day. read more

Everyone we worked with from the start of our planning with Zoe, our event specialist, to Sharon, our day of coordinator, worked so hard to make our day so wonderful! The event specialist helps you organize and think the day through and sort out all the great options in the package, including the food, bar, and decor. She also organizes all the vendors so there is no need to worry about on the day. Our day-of coordinator was also wonderful, she worked tirelessly behind the scenes to have a well-oiled machine. I even saw her a few weeks later as a wedding attendee and had to give her another hug as thanks for all her hard work. My husband and I got married here at the Madison on 5/18/19, and it was a perfect fairytale and dream come true! We were in the Loft for our ceremony and the Emerald Ballroom for our reception, and both spaces were absolutely beautiful! Our main reasons for selecting this venue were the all-inclusive nature of the package, getting a great deal for booking under a year from our wedding date, and the overall quality for the price we paid! We also loved that parking was free for all of our appointments and for the guests on the day of the wedding. Parking was so easy, located in the parking garage right beside Madison North and in a lot by Madison South. One of the things that amazed me the most was the incredibly fast response time to all of my inquires and concerns during the planning process. We worked with Zoe Mendenhall, and she was the BEST Event Specialist we could ever ask for! She was absolutely the sweetest, always replied within the same day, was happy to help with anything she could, and more! She eased so much of my stress during the planning process. The rest of the staff were also wonderful and really helpful: Jake and Jeri were our night of coordinators, and they ensured we were well taken care of throughout the night! They made sure we had plenty of food and drinks, and kept everything running perfectly smoothly! We also were impressed with the food! Everything was delicious, and one of our guests (who is quite the foodie) mentioned that our wedding made the top 5 for wedding food! We loved that they offered a Taste & Toast event for us to try all the food options and select our favorites, and this was complimentary! Most of all, I truly appreciated their attention to detail with respect to food allergies and preferences. I am gluten free/Celiac, and from the beginning, they always made sure I was taken care of and offered plenty of things I could eat. They also provided both kids meals and GF/vegan options for our guests! Just two complaints about the process. They were inflexible and refused to refrigerate desserts in the back for me. This threw off my original plan for dessert as my cake needed to be refrigerated because of the mousse, which was stressful in the moment and forced me to switch plans entirely. Secondly, there was a major miscommunication that came up in my details appointment two months before the wedding. I had emphasized from the beginning that Chiavari chairs were my dream and an integral part of my vision for our big day. I was assured that it would not be a problem to upgrade to these and that this was documented in my selection. It was not a fun surprise to discover just weeks before the wedding that I was not going to have the chairs for our reception, but if I wanted them, it would be an extra $2,000. Because we did not budget for this, I could not afford them, and nothing was done to take responsibility on their end. My original coordinator left the company in the midst of my planning (it happens), and after a couple of calls, we got a new person and she was on top of it. They really are all-inclusive and take care of a lot of small details that we didn't even consider. They even let us customize our his & her welcome drinks at the last minute, which were a huge hit. Went to a wedding at the Madison South this weekend. It was fine, but not outstanding. The food was very average. Started out nicely with 2 kinds of salad at each table and bread. But went downhill when it was time to go through the buffet. They offered chicken (very bland), roasted potatoes (meh), pasta with red sauce (didn't try) and the most overcooked, freshly sliced roast beef I've ever had. Not the greatest meal. The room was pretty but the dance floor was super small and the bar back in the corner got crowded. The real downfall of this space is sharing the bathrooms with the other events going on. The bride from the wedding across the hall was so drunk that she could barely stand and her whole entourage was with her in the bathroom, too crowded and super messy early in the evening. If you're looking at this space for your wedding, I'd recommend stopping in on a Saturday night to see it first hand. read more

I just got married at the Madison Event Center a week ago and had a fantastic time. Our event specialist leading up to the day, Ashley, was great and easy to deal with. Occasionally we would be late on a payment because we were a bit disorganized but the team at the Madison was very cool about it. The Madison handled a lot of small concerns. And the day of coordinator, specialist, or whatever his title was, was truly the BEST part of the Madison. We had Jake and he was seriously the absolutely best person to handle our wedding day. I couldn't imagine any one else having done what he did. We just gave a list of decorations and brought them in without describing what we fully wanted and Jake made everything look 100% perfect. Throughout the night he made sure that my husband and I ate and brought us our plates. My whole family was absolutely raving about Jake because he was so fantastic. He even stepped behind the bar a couple times. Everytime anyone needed him he was right there. If I could give Jake a million positive reviews I would because he absolutely deserves it. Besides that the food was great and the Madison coordinated everything well with the vendors. I truly would recommend the Madison to anyone. I've also attended a wedding there, not as the bride, and had a great time then too. read more

We got a king size suite and it had a pull out couch that I thought would be perfect for our two small children to lay on and when I went to pull it out I was shocked to find no sheets on the mattress and what looks to be mouse droppings all over the bed. I hosted my wedding reception here in July 2011. The Madison fell short of their reputation.. they did not meet my expectations. TEN of my guest expierenced car break ends while they were parked in a lot the Madison told me was "reserved and secured" for my guest. The most dissapointing part was that I had to contact them a week later to see if they were going to express any compassion towards my guest. One hears horror stories of special events being ruined by poorly trained staff, unkept promises and just plain shoddy service. I was worried that this could happen at my daughter's wedding and you only get one chance to pull it off. I need not have worried. Maura, our sales consultant stepped us through the entire process and made no promises she wasn't sure the Madison staff could deliver. The wedding and reception staff were excellent and extremely attentive. All the details were looked after and a lot of things we hadn't thought of were handled before they could become issues. We spent a great deal of money and this was one of those rare instances where I feel like I got way more than I paid for. My only regret is that there are only 5 stars available on this rating because I'd add a couple more if they were available. read more

The Madison was absolutely amazing. We brought in a lot of our own decor with a certain vision in mind and the Madison staff nailed the set up. The food was amazing and tasted the exact same as when we first tried it. The grande ballroom was gorgeous, fit 240 of our guests comfortably and looked better than what we could have imagined. Ashley was the absolute best to work with and I know everything looked perfect and went so smoothly due to all her hard work. She always responded quickly to my questions and gave me some of the most helpful suggestions. The staff the night of the wedding was exceptional as well! We had our wedding here in June and couldn't be happier. The thing we loved the most about the Madison is that it is a one stop shop. Other places we looked you had to bring your own caterer, bar tenders, etc, but at the Madison everything you expect is included and in house. That means no surprise charges down the road either! Each couple is assigned a planning specialist to help you with every detail and to check in on you to make sure you're completing everything on time. The night of our wedding, the staff took excellent care of us. From helping our parents load up the cars with gifts, to packing up our decorations, to making sure we always had a drink in our hands, they did it all! The food at our wedding was amazing (have to try the goetta balls) and our guests keep complimenting that. We had approximately 200 guests in the Emerald Ballroom and it was perfect size wise. I had my 65th birthday at the Madison Event Center and it was very nice. I had a small gather of 55 guest and my own dj they had the place decorated in the color schemed that I wanted black and white. The food was very good, my guest enjoyed the food and the service that we got was great They gave my guest free parking and all of the wine and beer that they wanted. Had a bar but if they wanted something other than that they had to pay for it. My guest didn't mind that at all. read more

Food was pretty bad. The space is nice. Bartenders were good and could make more than we could think of. They seemed like they wanted to get rid of us as fast as they could. Appetizers were gone before the bridal party entered. Food was a joke. The vegetarian option was a stuffed red pepper alone on a giant plate with no garnish. I was told it was the best entree. I had the regular entree which had dry chicken and potatoes that I am pretty sure were made out of salt. Someone said they were spicy and I told them no, they just have so much salt that it is burning your mouth. Ick. Frozen vegetables. Open bar was nice but that was the wedding party's decision. read more

My daughter recently (June 1, 2019) had her reception at the Madison. There is not enough time or space to even begin to tell you how wonderful they were to work with! From our first meeting in November with Ashley Bangi to our final details meeting with Zoe Mendenhall in May, they were extremely kind, professional, knowledgeable and supportive. Both were eager to help in any way, promptly returned emails/calls, and took care of everything!! They were fabulous!!! The night of the event, the night coordinators Jake, Spencer, and Ashley had everything under total control so we could thoroughly enjoy the reception. They went above and beyond, to help us and ensure the evening went well. At the end of the event they helped us load everything up and even helped us get all the gifts, decorations, etc. to where they had to go---again above and beyond! The guests continue talking about the great service and attentiveness of the staff, how they all worked so hard, and what a wonderful place the Madison was! Many even expressed that they couldn't believe how they were greeted by staff offering them vouchers for the parking and how they were made to feel so welcome. Many of the guests have also expressed that based on their experience of the evening, they have recommended the Madison to others. As for us, there aren't enough stars to adequately rate the Madison. They excel in all areas--personnel, service, facilities, support, presentation, quality, food, etc. We personally have also told others that if they ever have to have a wedding reception, look no further than the Madison! Our daughter had her reception in the Crystal ballroom. We liked that The Madison was a one-stop shop for many things - this was very convenient and alleviated some stress. But, I can't say that we are 100% satisfied with the way the evening went. First, the food was mediocre at best. The steak was too tough to chew, chicken and vegetables WAY overdone - very disappointed with it. Second, the wedding cake did not show up. Very long story - too much to get into here. We found out after the event that the wedding cake delivery time was 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We were not notified by The Madison until 6:11 that night. Actually, as we were arriving from the wedding which was next door - much too late to try to track down a cell phone number for the bakery. We were told that we would have night-of-event coordinators. We did not know that they would be two of the servers for the night - we thought it would be someone from the office who would oversee everything to make sure the night went smoothly. Our mistake. While the two ladies were lovely and made sure our drinks were full all night, they were not equipped to deal with the cake fiasco. After many calls to the office the following week with no return calls, I finally spoke with the Supervisor who told me that The Madison connects with vendors as a courtesy to the bride and groom. I was told that attempts were made to contact the bakery (the number of attempts varied based on the person and the day on which I spoke to someone). So basically, they took no ownership of their part in the cake fiasco. Had we been notified sooner, we could have made attempts to reach the bakery or come up with an alternative plan. At the end of the day, our daughter and her husband had a wonderful evening, but we will not be using The Madison for our younger daughter's wedding nor will we be recommending them to our friends. read more

The Madison was so great in some aspects, but lacked in others. I worked with Brittney who was amazing. She was very responsive when it came to changes. I had no idea about food or napkin colors or centerpieces etc and changed my mind a million times and I never felt like I was a bother at all. The food the night of was amazing as well as the reception staff. We got married in the Loft and reception in the Crystal Ballroom, both of which were FANTASTIC! All of the guests loved it!It also has some cute places to take pictures as well as being close to the river and Cincinnati! I did wish I was given more direction as to what they needed and was able to talk through some things with the day of person, who I didn't meet until the rehearsal. I do some event planning and am very (almost too much)on top of what things they need where they need to go and how they are set up and I feel like if I wasn't as on top of things then they would have had no idea where to go and it would have been a last minute scramble. I didn't talk to the event captain about the reception and how things were suppose to be laid out until the morning of my event, which I initiated. I can't imagine what things would have looked like if I didn't. I also didn't receive a few things back from the ceremony and some things from the reception weren't loaded into the car that night so I had to go back and get them. This was frustrating as I gave them a checklist of the things I was giving to them and what I needed back. No event venue is perfect, but it is important to know that you have to be on top of stuff when dealing with the Madison. Even though there were a few complications I would not have chosen another place to have my ceremony or reception. Good Luck to all of you brides! read more
