Beautiful and spacious venue! We were here for a family event. The space is airy and can easily hold 200 people. If you have an event planner or prefer to DIY your event space, it's an ideal canvas to style the occasion to your liking. There is a bar in the center of the Center's lobby and there was plenty of space to set up a photobooth too. They have separate space within the grounds for a changing room and the bathroom facilities are large. It's a nice venue to look into if you are planning a wedding or a major event in the heart of downtown Cincinnati. read more

I remember when this used to be a museum. But it is now a lovely event space. Based on my limited experience, the staff their are very friendly and happy to make things work whatever way you need. This space also has a great view of Fountain Square. This is particularly beautiful at night when it's all lit up! I think this venue is a fantastic choice because there's plenty of space for the catering. A large bar can fit in the front hall, there's a decent sized kitchen (with additional space attached if needed). read more

I'll change this review when they change their policies. I have a friend getting married in October and they were worried about having to move their date due to the Coronavirus. This company is refusing to help and taking all their money and only allowing them to use HALF when or if they move their date to next year. So if they've paid let's say $20,000 for this year then they'll only get $10,000 towards their wedding next year and have to pay ANOTHER $10,000. So $30,000 just to move a date to when this is all over. Disgusting business practices. Will be spreading this around on FB, Instagram, Twitter, etc. bad business practices. Hope you guys lose all of your business and have no weddings this year. Make it right. read more

We hosted our son's wedding reception at The Center last weekend and it was a great choice. We wanted something downtown to give our many out of town guests a convenient location and weekend experience. They were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. The venue is unique in appearance and feel. It is simple, crisp, clean, and beautiful. Paula was super working with us on planning and Katie was wonderful on the night of our event. I recently had the pleasure of attending the Secrets Artwork event here. The venue is huge! Just a few stairs as you enter the space. Hardwood floors, coat check area, plus different lighting options available. The perfect space for an art display, wedding reception, holiday party or any big event. I love that the venue space can be divided, if you like, to control the flow of the event and/or for a grand entrance! The women's restroom was clean with a little lounge area. I will definitely keep this venue in mind when planning future events. Side note: The hospitality staff at this event were awesome! read more

I have found that most event centers and reception facilities in the Greater Cincinnati area look and feel the same. This translates to your very special event looking and feeling just like everyone else's very special event. And let's be honest, there is usually bad carpet involved. I have also found that some of the unique venues in the area, and there are several to choose from, usually have space limitations and cannot accommodate larger groups. This creates a dilemma. And then, there is The Center. It is quite simply, a breath of fresh air to Downtown Cincinnati and the Greater Cincinnati area. I loved this space when it was the home to the Contemporary Arts Center years ago, and have often wondered what would become of it. When I found out that it was going to be renovated and transformed into an event center, I couldn't contain my excitement. At the first opportunity, I booked the space for a corporate event for 500+ people. I found the contemporary space to be stunning as is, and yet it is also the perfect blank slate to transform the space into anything that you can imagine. I have used this space for several corporate events, and every event is unique. With Fountain Square as the backdrop through one of the main room's large picture windows, it gives guests a beautiful view of Downtown Cincinnati. I honestly can't imagine hosting an event elsewhere else. read more

I have attended a couple of weddings here and have to say the space is awesome! From the dome, to the spacious ballroom, you can't ask for anything more in a venue. The staff there has always been extremely friendly and do a great job putting on awesome weddings. Highly recommended! read more

They seem great at first... You think that it's the perfect place until they tell you all the bs afterwards. You have to have 4200 worth of food which is crazy if you don't have that many people coming That's only because they get paid by whatever caterer you pick along with all the other money you have to give them.. They tell you that you can't have certain things that you want to do yourself then turn around and say that you can. You can't switch the date at all even though they already have your deposit which is 1000. So basically they are money hungry and don't even care about the couple. read more

Our company co-sponsors an event several times a year in various cities with other firms across the country. With people traveling in from all other and some clients being local to Cincinnati, we wanted a location that would be convenient for everyone. We chose downtown as the area where we wanted to host the event. The Center offered a convenient space for our seminar that we could customize to make into a unique experience for all. The Center is new to downtown Cincinnati for the purpose of being an event center, and it worked perfectly for our corporate needs. We utilized the main ballroom for our opening and closing remarks, and also for sessions. We split the room into 2 and utilized the other half for serving lunch and with the large window that overlooks fountain square, it turned out to be a truly special and amazing event. We also used some of the other rooms for breakout sessions. The space was perfect for our corporate seminar needs, and I will definitely book this location again in the future when we have this event again in Cincinnati. After and during the seminar, we received such positive feedback about the event as a hole, and many of these centered on amenities that The Center offered. People loved that they didn't have to 'travel' outside the space for lunch. With the amount of space located in the ballroom, we were able to host everything right there! People also commented on the breakout rooms and how they loved that with each time slot, they had options on which sessions they wanted to choose. Lastly, I wanted to comment on the staff. When you are hosting a large event and for clients and colleagues, you always want things to run smoothly. The professionalism and promptness the staff offered helped this seminar immensely. Without them, this event would not have run as smoothly. The food vendor they recommended was fantastic and they were so helpful with helping the day run smoothly. Overall, 5 stars does not give justice to the success we saw at this seminar and all of the feedback we received after. This was the perfect venue for our corporate seminar and I would strongly recommend The Center to anyone looking to host something for their company in the area. read more

We held our Holiday Party at The Center this year and had a great experience! Our employees loved how close it was to everything downtown and the venue is beautiful with a view of the Christmas Tree at Fountain Square. First I would like to say, I have nothing bad to say about the staff. I always got a response when I emailed or called and everyone was very friendly and helpful. Secondly, I was disappointed by this venue. I started out really excited to have our wedding reception here but it ended up being a bust. The price was very affordable however there is nothing that comes with what you pay for. It got very expensive to decorate the way that I wanted to and I was not even that happy because I felt like I had under-decorated...this is my fault, nothing to do with the staff or the venue itself. Some people love that simple look but I think I was looking for something a little more. Third, the location I thought was fun and easy to get to. The month of the wedding there was construction in the hallway leading into the building. I had complaints from my guests that there was no type of signage that told the guests to go around and enter from an alternate way. Most of my guests were walking around aimlessly downtown for about an hour. They said that they saw people through the windows but they had no idea how to get up to that location, some people ended up giving up and not even coming to my wedding, so that was money lost right there. Plus, they were frustrated with me for choosing such an obscure hall to get to. read more

There is a convenient skywalk that connects to The Westin next door, a great view of Fountain Square from the ballroom, and a very helpful and accommodating staff.
