It's located in the historic Phelps Building, which is the Residence Inn, right in the heart of downtown Cincy. Metered parking is available on the street, although we arrived around 10pm on a Saturday and the parking app said it was free, so score! The gentleman at the front desk directed us to the elevator to take to the 12th floor. Top of the Park has two levels, I preferred the 2nd level only because the view is slightly better. It was a little chilly, but the heater lamps and fires made for a cozy atmosphere. The bartenders were friendly and my drink was tasty. If you're looking for a nice spot with great views, Top of the Park, is it! I look forward to returning next time I'm in Cincy~

We picked this location initially with the guest count being are only criteria, but we were almost immediately surprised by so much more. The view, the gorgeous interiors, and the rich history were all things that finally led us to choose this as our venue for our wedding. But, above all else, was the venue owner - Roger Swonger. He went above and beyond to make our day as special as it possibly could be, and with his help, our wedding day went absolutely perfect. With just one planning session, and a couple of tours, Roger was able to guide us through the perfect day. He communicated well with all of the vendors, was able to provide an amazing wait staff, and bartender, and even thought of the small details - placing some flowers on our small wedding cake, putting a pen by the guest book, etc. Most importantly to us, as a now husband and husband duo, was finding a venue that was accepting. This was Roger to a tee - not only did he treat us with kindness, he guided us towards other LGBTQ+ friendly vendors as well. With his support and guidance, we had a wedding that completely surpassed our exceptions of what a wedding could ever look like in an area like Kentucky. I don't think there is any universe where we could have had a better wedding, and this is all thanks to Roger, and all thanks to having our wedding ceremony at Wiedemann Hill Mansion.

From helping me with communication on road closures and traffic with Pride falling at the same time and day as my event, to setting up and breaking down, she was there. The Garden Room came with the patio and it was the perfect place to bring together my vision of a summer garden party. We had the perfect amount of food from their brunch options and add ons and it was delicious! We also still had the inside room to keep the food and utilize before we went outside for the brunch. Amazing time and super grateful to Natalie and her team!

Our profound thankfulness and admiration held for the team's efforts are beyond words. From the inception of the wedding planning journey, The Monastery demonstrated exceptional thoroughness and clear communication with us as a couple and with all third-party vendors. They created a seamless and stress-free planning process, allowing us to savor the anticipation of our special day. Special thanks to Ali and Trevor for always being available to promptly address any inquiries. The culinary experience at The Monastery was an absolute standout, with countless guests praising the exquisite hors d'oeuvres, the tempting grazing table at the cocktail hour, the well-stocked and quick-moving bars, and, especially the dinner itself, which exceeded restaurant quality. I still dream of the aged cheddar mashed potatoes! The chef's ability to provide a one-of-a-kind food experience is truly unmatched, making The Monastery an unparalleled choice for hosting weddings. The service staff was exceptional, working tirelessly and offering warm smiles that made us, as the guests of honor, feel truly special. The natural beauty of the building itself is enchanting and enough of a reason to book with The Monastery, but it's the dedication and top-notch service from every member of the staff, both administrative and service, that elevates The Monastery to a league of its own in terms of wedding venues. From my perspective as the bride, everything unfolded flawlessly- but I am fully aware that there was a tremendous effort behind the scenes to ensure this smooth and seamless experience. Doug Betz, the owner, made a strong vow to my parents during our initial tour years ago - a commitment to treat our wedding with the same attention as he would his own children's weddings. It instilled trust and admiration for The Monastery from the inside out. I can genuinely affirm that Doug and the entire team not only upheld this promise but surpassed it. My husband and I are confident that any couple who chooses The Monastery is in for a once-in-a-lifetime, smooth, delicious, and thoughtful experience.
